Good video Andrew👍👍 I'm happy to hear folks in your generation voice that you're getting fed up with having your life controlled. The freedoms of generations before can be had again, and collectively voicing opinions on that is important. I also agree with seeing more people in your generation wanting to go back in time a bit and are interested in "things of old" so to speak. Like this piping, cigars, blade smithing, being outdoors, taking pride in ownership of possessions, antiquing, gardening, actually cooking meals, etc. I see so many younger people just content locking themselves indoors with their computers, gaming sessions, social media, ordering food delivered, and the like. That's a cool magnetic pipe stand! Very cool it was your grandpa's as well! Happy you're finding some of the samples enjoyable😊take care
Thank you for sharing your grandfather’s pipe and your thoughts. I too see younger people wanting “more” and are reminding rest of to do the same. Thx!
Enjoyed listening to ya, Andrew. I'm also 28 and see a movement of younger people seeking out more traditional, non-technological ways of living, as well as searching for spiritual outlets in a variety of different places. I count myself among them. I will say though, that it's easy for us to idealise the past and look back on it with nostalgia, when in truth it's always more nuanced, and the rights and freedoms of certain groups like women, people of colour and gays were heavily squashed down compared to today. It's a balance that needs constant attention. How to strike that balance between protecting the liberties and wellbeing of all, while not having a Nanny State constantly shoving its nose in our business and having sway over our decisions. Interesting video. Thanks for sharing your Grandpa's pipe with us, too. It looks well-loved.
Absolutely! The rights and freedoms of all are very important. So long as people can do what makes them happy without interfering with another's rights, is how it should be.
Your line "people don't think" was the key there sir. Pipe smoking is also so much simpler than all the other pressures and things that everyone fusses about. They are so self obsessed as a whole that they forget to look outside of themselves or the crisis of the moment.
I feel that most people live such fast paced lives anymore that they forget to look at the bigger picture. When life is fast paced there is less time to think.
I agree with everything you said man. I also desire to live in a simpler time. I love the traditional way of doing things. I really enjoyed this video. Its fantastic that you still have your grandfather's pipe! Something for you to cherish. Cheers!
Good Afternoon 😊 Awesone video👌🏽Thanks for the show and tell 👏🏼 Nice pipe and tobacco 😋 Have a blessed day & God bless 🙏🏽 Greetings From South Africa 🇿🇦
And as it is said in Romans "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind". While humans never change, there are those who seek to change human nature.
I wonder if he put his pipe down on a hot engine and the stem touched something? This came up in my feed and I have to say you realize things that took me decades to comprehend. Things really changed with the Internet and cell phones, but younger people are using them to educate themselves and thus not believe many of the things they are being told. I hope when you reach my age, that you can afford tobacco....or even find it.
Glad you found my video! I don't think tobacco will ever be cheaper than it is today moving forward. I just hope there are many more people out there with the same mindset that we don't need a nanny state to take care of us.
Good video Andrew👍👍

Theres ways that have worked for hundreds of years that will never change because human nature doesnt change.
