To get Alexa to change the scene on your Govee Outdoor String Lights, you first need to make sure that your lights are connected to the Govee app and are also integrated with Alexa. Here are the steps you can follow: 1. Download and install the Govee app on your smartphone and create an account. 2. Pair your Govee Outdoor String Lights with the app and create different scenes that you want to use. 3. Enable the Alexa skill for Govee in your Amazon Alexa app and link your Govee account to Alexa. 4. Once you have linked your account, ask Alexa to discover your devices by saying, "Alexa, discover my devices." 5. After Alexa discovers your Govee Outdoor String Lights, you can use voice commands to change the scene on your lights. For example, you can say "Alexa, set outdoor lights to party mode" or "Alexa, set outdoor lights to romantic mode." If you have followed these steps and are still having issues with Alexa not changing your scene, you may want to check if your Alexa device and Govee app are both updated to the latest version. You can also try unlinking and relinking your Govee account in Alexa to see if that helps resolve the issue. cnl
The 96ft set is actually 2 strands already connected together. The controller can only hold up to 2 strands at a time, so you'd need a whole separate set if you want to add more lights
Sure! But you should be able to do everything you can with a smart plug directly with these lights and the Govee Home App... these are SMART string lights!
Hey man, thanks for the vid on these lights, super helpful. I wanted to warn you that you should probably edit your video as it shows your Wi-Fi SSID and password and you don't want to go down that.. river.
dont be a @#$^ and say ALEXA, bleep it out like the bigger YT's do, small things like that is what makes content creators grow, i dont need my stuff changing because you skimped out on editing
Wow, Outstanding job on the video. Thank you so much. Standing ovation!!!!
I just ordered these 96ft set... looking forward to the weekend setup.
Are they very bright?
@Bryan H you can adjust the brightness it's been a year and their still working like the day I hooked them up!
Can anyone tell us the spacing in between actual light bulbs in feet?
@@MattMerritt I would probably take the total length of the strands and divide that by how many bulbs. That should get you pretty close.
Can you turn individual bulbs off on these?
If you take a minute and mute your Alexa commands it would make the video watchable.
That's actually a really good point! I'll do that from now on!

yes plz do Your commands had my Alexa's all trying to turn on & off light asking which one I mean't LOL @@DigitalDavid

So what if I'm camping and don't have wifi signal?? Are they useless?
No, they should still turn on!

How did you get Alexa to change the scene ? I have so many Govee lights but Alexa doesn’t change my scene I’m so confused honestly

Thanks for the great review! Question, can you tell me the distance in spacing between the bulbs?
Thanks for watching! I wish I knew, but never actually measured it

Glad you were able to find it! Thanks for sharing!

Can you connect 2 96ft string lights together
You can only connect up to 96ft of lights together -MB
Hi.. Great review👍🏻 Can you connect two strings together?
Best regards
Lars🇩🇰
Yes, you can connect up to two strings together! -MB

Let's Goveeeeeeee!!!
You know it Phillllllllll!!!!!!!!
can you ad together more than one set?
No you would run them separate!
so separate outlets, but how do you control them having same cues and patterns. @@DigitalDavid
Can you control the speed?
See app tutorial in video!
Hey David. When selecting the colors for each individual bulb. How do we then get them to pulse with our custom color order?
I'm not sure that's possible with these...
@@DigitalDavid ah damn I was hoping you weren't going to say that lol. I set up a Christmas theme today and was hoping it would blink or something
Smart plug compatible?
Sure! But you should be able to do everything you can with a smart plug directly with these lights and the Govee Home App... these are SMART string lights!
Oh, you can change the name but we’re not going to do that right now? Can’t find how to do that, damit. You Spent half the video on scene menu’s.
Sorry! I'll keep that in mind for future vids!

Thanks for the tip! I'll blur it out!

You don't have to say "hey" when using Alexa...
I want to be nice so she puts in a good word when the robots take over ;P
Just another youtube ad.
Patio lights reviewed that never get installed and just lay on a table.
What would you like to see in future vids? Always looking for recommendations!
~B
@DigitalDavid how about actually install and use lights your gonna review 🤣🤣
just an ad.
You think so?
~B
Hey Alexa? Come on, it’s not sito, you just need to call her without the “hey”
Does it really bother you that much? 😂 I've started bleeping that part out, so I'm sure you'll appreciate that if you watch future vids haha

Wasn't skimping.. just didn't think about it at the time. It's comments like these that I learn from, so thanks!
