    How strong is the Habanero heat in the glaze

    • @HeathRilesBBQ
      @HeathRilesBBQ  11 місяців тому +1

      Not strong at all. I give it maybe a 3-4 and my wife says more like a 2. It's suppose to be a subtle backend heat that will cook down a lot. It's not going to light you up.

  • @richarddaley6403
    @richarddaley6403 11 місяців тому

    What is advantage of heating the sauce up instead of it being cold? If st Louis style ribs were done, would you still use the same temp? I know they wouldn't take as long

    • @HeathRilesBBQ
      @HeathRilesBBQ  11 місяців тому +1

      I personally like to heat up my glaze, even at competitions. Way easier to brush on. Yes, you'd want to cook to the same internal temps.

    Heath I had a question and a suggestion. 1st Have you ever thought about making a maple syrup for pancakes? 2nd would you make a combo kit of all your rubs/glaze but in half the size? I’d like to sample everything but not sure if I’d use or enjoy the entire 10oz.

    • @HeathRilesBBQ
      @HeathRilesBBQ  11 місяців тому

      I had not thought about a maple syrup for pancakes. As far as sample bottles, we do not currently offer them. We just have the full size bottles on the website. We do have combo packs for the full size glazes. www.heathrilesbbq.com/collections/bbq-glazes

    Rub heaviness is extremely vital for bark formation. Your negative commenters probably cook mediocre bbq.

    • @HeathRilesBBQ
      @HeathRilesBBQ  Місяць тому

      I try to explain that, but everyone has their way. People tend to think it's a lot of rub, but you're dealing with a 3lb+ piece of meat. It can take the seasoning.

    I like a lot of your products but a lot of them are WAY too spicy for anyone like me who suffers from IBS. I need a mild version.

    • @HeathRilesBBQ
      @HeathRilesBBQ  11 місяців тому

      It can be spicy if you layer on heavy. I'd suggest a light-medium coat so you're not getting a heavy pepper taste on your food.

    • @KyleenDrake
      @KyleenDrake 11 місяців тому

      @@HeathRilesBBQ You're missing my point. I can't have ANY spice at all in my food. ALL of it has to be mild or it triggers my IBS. This is true for many IBS sufferers. I'd buy more of your products but I don't want to literally spend 3 days in the bathroom exhausted for one meal. If not for the IBS I'd like some heat. But now that it's started.. And maybe I'm not only one who'd buy. Just a thought.
