The New Scav META in Tarkov

In Tarkov, you are either a PMC or a scav. Or a trader. Or a scav boss. There's also raiders. Not to be confused with rogues. Also cultists. There are a lot of people in Tarkov. But this video is about that second group. The scavs. Escape from Tarkov by Nikita Buyanov. - Ігри
Hi. I didn't expect this much traffic on this video, so I'm a little late, but here are a few suggestions if you're trying to emulate this method:
1) I almost always chose Customs because it had the most populated scav lobby
2) Inviting an American/English sounding name reduced the odds of me matching with somebody from the other side of the globe where'd they'd get DC'd if they connected to a US server
3) Invited white names who were low level and less likely to have already been traumatized by scav on scav violence
4) I avoided toxic/vulgar/edgelord names
5) Changing my name to Scav_Helper greatly increased my success at getting players to group with me in the lobby, although I assume a lot of people aren't trying to base their whole Tarkov identity/alias on scav runs. Outside of this experiment, I try to run my PMC as often as possible.
It still took several minutes (if not longer) and a lot of page refreshing to get a scav in a lobby with me. Part of my hope with this video (in the event that it did become popular) was to normalize random groupings in lobby among scavs. Frankly I anticipated getting dragged for proposing this, so thank you for the positive comments.
In an ideal world, maybe the lobby names would display region and scav karma ratings, but I understand some people might not be cool with that.
will do big boy.
When I play overseas everyone's nice bro
This is so wholesome 😌 😊
Seems like the only people who wouldn’t be cool with that would be those with bad Scav karma LOL.
I've communicated before PMC-on-PMC while speaking Mandarin. Turns out they were in US anyways but nonetheless it was a cool experience.
The reaction by that guy of being able to put the scope on his gun genuinely fills my heart with joy. Reminds me of my early days in tarkov.
1:44 That man is pure. Untarnished by the wars of Factory and Customs. Unblemished by the snipers of shoreline and woods. Not haunted by the hackers of Labs and the stench of blood around every corner. And yet, it is too late for him. He has entered Tarkov, a void many enter and few escape. He will know pain, he will know misery, and he will know death.
you're a good person, don't let this game rot you
I agree. Dont let the underbellies of tarkov turn you inside out
Tarkov can get pretty dark. Don't join the darkside. They don't have cookies.
The house always wins
Awesome to see folks thinking like this 🤝 True you guys speak
I’m a watchman of scavruns, if you kills your scab friend, I’ll come after you, I’m the protector of the free
I felt so identified when you said "I'm starting to learn all the maps... Except this labyrinth" lmao
I've gotten to the point of knowing where I can go for some loot, but that only covers maybe 10% of the total map. I'm sure we'll all figure out 50% within the next 5 years
its hillarious cause interchange is one of the maps i know best, labs reserve and shoreline im not the best at.
Interchange is easy I feel labs and reserve are the labyrinths
@@nutsallinyomouf once I learned the chess piece buildings, reserve clicked for me. i’ve probably just run it a lot more than the mall, though.
@@lemonbeans the mall is basically built like Manhattan (in that chessboard manner).
You have like 3 hallways going north to south and 3 going east to west.
Other than that theres just a few connectors inbetween them, but these you will learn by using them over time. Other than that: idea is north, goshan backside (E) and oli south with all the tech-shops (a legit deathzone).
Happy hunting ^.^
If you ja wanna go deep on that map operatorDrewski has the BEST guide for this map where he goes over every nook and cranny (its 2 hrs long tho so... :D)
It just show's how impossible this game is to learn without having to study a community driven wiki page
Just takes time not really hard
@@brute505 lol ok. 1700 hours in and I'm still learning.
@@92Jdmsupra does that mean its hard? lol right over your head.
@@92Jdmsupra ill say this as nice as possible but if you dont really know the entirety of the game after 1k hours you might have a learning disability.
@@brute505 what made you decide to just disagree with someone today on the internet, is everything okay?
I love this new friendly scav meta, all the scavs just constantly shouting.
Few days ago we heard a lonely PMC still on the map, in the end we where hunting him with maybe 7-8 scavs.
Good times
I was a pmc on reserve with my friend and we were in a building as 3 or 4 scavs came in and were all communicating with voip. It was glorious even as I died they asked each other if they needed any meds for injuries.
When I saw your video, it made me nostalgic, when I started in Tarkov I was a person who helped others, gave them items although I didn't know what their function was or why they were needed, I warned if there were PMCs or Bosses, but as I advanced in the wipe and see that they betrayed me, you become like them, in this new wipe, I have met 2 or 3 people who do not know how to play, and I have helped them, they are happy to find a sight, attachment or a valuable and it gives a nice feeling of satisfaction knowing that they progressed thanks to me.
I feel like you’ve definitely helped me get to the extract before thank you so much bro the world needs more people like you
Really good video, keep it up! I'm sure people would like to see more Tarkov videos
You're a hero, love your content brother
My average scav experience consists of meeting someone, they say they're friendly, then I lead and miraculously their gun misfires into the back of my skull
What server are you on? I'm on EU and i have not been killed by another scav so far
@@stonedmountainunicorn9532 lol that's why....East Coast US for me
As someone who just recently got into this game and have been playing solo a lot, I appreciate players like you. Scav runs are always a blast when I find other people
You're content is so unique and well done with the narration and script! Hope to see more tarkov content in the future.
fax
The algorithm put this in front of me. UA-cam has blessed you
one of the only heart warming tarkov vids out there
I'm new to Tarkov myself. Just started a week ago. Hardly even past level 6, and I only now unlocked Jaeger.
Played some scav runs on Factory and after inviting a rando to join me. You know what happens? Him, myself and two other completely unaffiliated scavs end up meeting up and talking. I explained to them what a scav run was - a raid in progress with the chance to fight other PMCs and pick up the scraps.
It was beautiful. They were wondering why we weren't shooting eachother. I explained scav karma. We bonded.
Then we were all murdered by Tagilla. God I love this game.
its insane. I got a random dude to buy tarkov and explained the basics of the game to him for like 2 hours, afterwards we played for another 4 hours until he got his scav box. Now 3 days later he make plus every raid because he knows how to exctract, learn maps, and just survive. its insane how hard this game is and how time consuming it is to explain it to these new players
it’s something like a rite of passage or whatever. frankly I despised this game when I first played it-up until I got my first kill. now it’s hard to play other shooters because they don’t have the same feeling as Tarkov
@@lemonbeans can relate to this 100%, only other fps i play is Insurgency Sandstorm a few hours a month with friends
@@lemonbeans this is so true, tarkov has literally ruined all other fps games for me lol
@@lemonbeans Playing my first wipe atm and my friend that is 6 or so wipes deep has helped me pick up the game so much faster than if I was trying to learn solo, I'm confident on pretty much every map to the point I don't need maps on 2nd monitor anymore and confidently running most tasks solo, still getting killed quite a bit but been doing factory runs to practise PvP and had some runs where I survive with 4+ kills and there's honestly no better feeling
Loved the video man, always great content! 🤘
I'd literally love if there'd be a Scav character to choose as the main. Progressing, with trader access locked, scav quests from Fence a bit different more loot/craft focused economy. Maybe XP for defending map spots and bosses against the PMC's, this kind of stuff
Bro something about this video brings me so much joy
Bro one of the best Tarky videos I've watched in a long time. Got introduced to tarkov last wipe and, I learned alot running around with some 1500hr+ players really helped. So this wipe I picked up 3 Timmy's and have been helping them. I think tarkov is a game that anyone can make what they want out of it. That Is why I enjoy playing the game.
This is the best video I’ve seen that sums up the game. This is my first wipe and it’s hard to trust anyone or even get the hang of the game. You’re a good guy! Keep it up
the music is so nostalgic and the video is amazing, thank you
Your tone delivery and video editing had me laughing all the way through, great content brother and a hundred percent relatable will try this when I scav next
Thanks. A few suggestions if you're trying out this method:
1) I almost always chose Customs because it had the most populated scav lobby
2) Inviting an American/English sounding name reduced the odds of matching with somebody from the other side of the globe where'd they'd get DC'd from the server if they connected to a US server
3) Invited white names who were low level and less likely to have already been traumatized by scav on scav violence
4) I avoided toxic/vulgar names
5) Changing my name to Scav_Helper greatly increased the receptiveness of invitees, although I assume a lot of people aren't trying to base their whole Tarkov identity/alias on scav runs. Outside of this experiment, I've tried to run my PMC as often as possible.
This is probably my favorite tarkov video I’ve ever watched. Very wholesome.
You sound like you’re narrating the events around Judgement Day from Terminator and I love it! Quality content brother
Your content is great man. I see you've got at least thousand more subs in the last day. Congrats :)
thanks captain
I'm in my third day of Tarkov and this was awesome to watch. Glad there are good players out there in this community. Awesome video man.
37k views! Let’s go man, your vid is going viral and was recommended at the very top of my fyp! Subbing!
Also youre a scav after my own heart. The tank battery spawns on Lighthouse have been insane this wipe and I’ve already given away 3 to other scavs. Have to fight back against the TKers and spread scav army spirit!
I swear every scav run I’ve had has been a good one when I encounter coms. I had a whole squad of 3 randomly meet up and hunt down the pmc. Scav runs can be fun man and free loot!
This video made my week after grinding Tarkov since the wipe for the first time ever. Godspeed
4:02 nikita as "big tarkov" has me dead LOLOL great vid
Most wholesome Tarkov content ever... Nice work!
"Oh this goes on my gun, let's go!!!"
Feels good man. Thanks for your services.
Thanks for this video, it's my new favorite activity on tarkov, helping new players is awesome
YES YOU'RE ON TARKOV NOW!? I can't wait to catch one of your streams again. Missed you dude.
The Scav Manifesto 🙏
Love the Majora’s Mask music. Made my morning hearing that tune again - great memories when times were better.
Your dry humor is amazing lol. Subscribed
Haha reminds me when I found two GPUS starting with Tarkov and just sold it to therapist.
I'm gunna look out for you man, this is my first wipe but I'm already 15, docs case, 2 scav boxes, and a med case already. Really loving this game and having fun scavvin around
I had this magic moment when I heard steps and just said "cheeki breeki?" to which the other person responded with "cheeki breeki" as well.
He was really nice, guided me through the map and left me some leftover loot. I saw only after he escorted me to the extract, that he was a pmc.
I don't know his name but here is to you Mr nice pmc :D
Yo subbed just from the intro bro this is great xD
This man's channel is going places!
i really enjoyed this video haha, solid music choice too!
thank you mayo man
the "oh lets go this goes on my gun!" as he puts a scope on his pp19 was very wholesome lmao
Great video can't wait to see more!
This was a really sweet and wholesome video and you've inspired me to do the same if I find any low levels in lobby :)
I always have thought this way, the idea in every apocalyptic movie is that everyone instantly turns feral the moment the power goes out and starts gunning while families down in the street always felt inaccurate to me. Glad I could see some proof in that theory, that we are all subject to nurture more than nature generally speaking
hey thank you so much for posting this. This truly warmed my heart and it told me that its ok to feel again. I am insta subbed lol. I you are gonna blow up. As a fellow content creator, I just wanted to say you are awesome!
Dude you remind me of MR MOON! Your voice over/narration of the gameplay is on point bro 👍🏻keep it up
This is why I love this game. I had an encounter once when I first started playing. We were both pmcs. This was before viop so he used in game lines to show me around and take me to loot. It was fun AF. What got me hooked.
Well for sure that's a rare encounter, I wish it hapenned to me
@@edzbienen maybe not as pmc but when I asked a Scav to give back a thing i put in dead body accidentaly, he dropped everything he had on him and wished me good luck lol
How come I never heard of you bro!!?? Im a big fan already dood, dont give up and keep the content coming. You got talent 100%
I've been betrayed my fellow scavs so many times this wipe, I'm trying hard to not let this turn me to horrible shit.
Bruh same but that good karma got me a dorms marked key so don’t let it get to you!
Yeah especially when they shoot you right as you are extracting with full loot
On the real the karma pays back well. Betrayer scavs will be cursed soon enough.
Well they can only queue every 2 hours
this is an awesome video thought fr man def keep it up
I like your video style, good vid!
"I know the maps pretty well except this fucking labyrinth" resonates with my experience
Malls are designed to confuse people and keep them inside and shopping, is what I tell myself at least.
This wipe so far has been my favorite wipe ever. I have been playing the game for 3 years and the only other wipe I had enjoyed to much was the wipe with reserve just cause it was just pvp you could make money so easily. This wipe is now my favorite inertia has made me so much better and the new animations make inertia feel so much smoother than it was last wipe.
this is the best tarkov video ive ever seen......well done
I respect you so much for not killing the guy for the gpu and actually helping him. You’re an absolute chad
As I new Trakov player I love this! I have found my best experiences to be when I have run scan and I have to ALOT cause I am an awful PMC. Scavs helping scavs Gotta love it!
1:45 "ooh i can put this on my gun!" *puts 8x scope on an smg*
This is beyond wholesome and I'm here for it eternally
Only 3 minutes in and it's already one of the best Tark videos I've ever watched.
thanks man
"I'm bad but I'm better than I used to be " Fucking legend.
"7 hours without an extract" man I remember how that was. Hard times. I was so happy to get out my first time.
great vid dude i like your style keep it up.
this music is comforting and haunting at the same time
This was amazing, just simply amazing!
Real talk. I love the video, haven't played tarkov since I was doing a skav mission. Ended up getting a care package and tried to loot it with my friend and 3 other skavs. One of the scavs with the PPSH just mowed us all down....
This is the scav content I need in my life!
Funny stuff my dude. You earned a sub. Cheers
Love this !!!! keep it up man :)
It's really good video, bro. You're a true hero. Just subscribed to yt and twitch to suport u.
I'm sorry if I made a mistake somewhere, I'm not so good at English.
spasiba my dude
nice video really like the way u present ur tarky game play been trying to figure out the formula! keep scaring man 😎
This video was amazing a good balance of funny painful and a good moral lesson at the root of it all.
First thirty seconds, already subbed, liked and shared the video
Good luck with tarkov and your channel!
I got help from some random player scavs yesterday. Helped me with the bronze watch mission. Great guys
"Except this fucking labyrinth." I felt that.
The clock town music made me tear up a little 🥲
Keep making content. This is fantastic.
@lemon your description of EFT is SPOT on bro. Jesus I felt that in my soul, been playing soulless for 4 and 1/2 years now. Love this man!
this was great. subbed.
Totally awesome. I’ve run into some great friendly scavs this wipe.
Love your content!
Will try one of those scav parties. Thx man
I had a feeling you were an Aqua fan, and then the screenshot confirmed it. Love the content bro, keep it going. 👍
he is my hero
A proud member of the cult. ELUNDISCORE LLLLLLLLLL
Such a great story! Made my day

I really liked this video I am glad I found your content this made me smile in the dark land known as tarkov
Gonna run some of these today this is awesome
I watch a lot of EFT vids and this one is really good…u even made me LOL 😂
nice video man seeing alot more fun stuff happening in tarkov now i actually got all the scavs in factory to group up and we hunted down all the remaining pmc's and got them it was fun but i wouldnt want that to happen to me as a pmc :')
majoras mask soundtrack top tier wow amazing choice subscribed
I had the funniest scav experience on reserve the other day. My friend and I ran into 2 other scavs while we were getting sniped at by a PMC. We later ran into 2 more player scavs and by that point having 6 of us we rushed the guy sniping. A couple of us died, but it was worth it.
"OOOO I can put that on my gun, let's goooo"
I felt that
Had an experience last night were my chad friend was helping me run tasks. Sat and listened at elbow when another duo is like “what’re you doing in there? Task runs?” We replied and tried to be cool. They tried to betray us, but my armor ate their 5.56 ammo and my buddy ate them with a VAL. As soon as I stapled myself back together a grenade landed next to me. Fortunately I avoided the explosion but had another 3 minutes of amateur surgery after getting riddled with T rounds. chad got the third party too. All ive learned since voip became a thing is PMCs are universally treacherous. And 1/3rd of scavs are too, on a good day.
