No that was the proper drain area. You have to actually take off the reservoir (which isn't hard) and tip it upside down because some coolant gets trapped still in the bottom part of it.
As long as silicate free and borate free, you're good to use any coolant brand (you may want the green one, even color does not matter, only for aesthetic consideration). Better use the ready to use than concentrated, for time saver.

You emptied the radiator. The reservoir is still full of coolant. How do you drain the reservoir?

Awesome video bro what kind of coolant do you use? I have a 2015 Mazda 6 and wanting to do a coolant flush before my trip to California.
