Man im starting a new job soon and I’m thinking of upgrading from a 08 v6 stang into a boss 302, and I’m glad I found your channel! I love the content and can’t wait to see what else you have planned out! Seeing you enjoy this car so much is making me excited for my future upgrade lol
Hey man I run Vibrant 12 inch resonators on my catless 17 5.0 and they quiet down the exhaust a good bit while not effecting performance at all. I don’t think you are going to get the quietness you are looking for from a straight through muffler.
Ya.... it’s because a couple of tracks I go to are close enough to residential areas. No fun but I would rather not lose my track day fee because my car is too loud. I was warned last year at one of the events and I didn’t even think my car was that loud to start lol 😂
There's no way that setup is too loud. On my 2014 GT i have Kooks LT's, GT500 over axle's, and GT500 mufflers. Sounds almost too quiet at times. No drone...
So I have a 12 Boss 302 and am debating on installing long tubes, when you had to tune your car they can keep the red key with the lopey idle? And just change what needs to be changed without messing with it?
@@SeanMcGuigan I seen they have the boss h pipe that have the side exhaust for sale now. I might do the headers, no cats, with the quad exhaust set up. When that lope kicks in your car sounds beautiful, best sounding boss on the internet. The quad may make it louder but I can live with that on a weekend warrior car.
Great to see your Boss projects coming to fruition! Question about the Flowmaster exhaust you had. I purchased but not installed yet. Were there any issues? Clearance/quality? I've sen the videos on it when you first installed it. Thanks
No issues what so ever. I really liked that system but I always envisioned having the GT500 quad tips on the car. Just had to go with my gut. Thanks for watching
I went with 1 7/8 headers. Not ceramic coated at this time. I might be looking to get them coated later but all of the local shops were unavailable prior to us getting them installed. I will be making a video soon of the dyno results
It’s mostly condensation with it being so cold out. Also the car has not been driven with the new headers so it could be still burning off some of the oil used to protect them from rust until they are installed. Lastly no more Cats to burn off any extra gasses.
Hi Jayson. Ya that is a hot topic for sure right now. I know Bill for CJ Pony parts said it had effected even the Gen 1 coyotes but I have not experienced it. Keeping in mind the entire rotating assembly in the block of a Boss 302 is completely different from a standard Gen 1 coyote. I just had a bit of valvetrain noise from the lifters. I started using Driven motor oil that was formulated for coyote engines and I noticed it helped a lot with that valvetrain noise.
@@SeanMcGuigan Hey men thanks for the time to reply and yes the 302 is a different motor setup from the coyote but some say its the 302 engine that they used for 2015 and up so that's why i don't no witch one to buy? men its hard with all that stuff on social media now a days lol, But Men it would be a great Vid for you to make HAHAHA and would be looking forward to watch that's for sure :)
Friend of mine works in Auto CAD and has access to a Plastics manufacture. We started with a model of the Laguna Seca splitter and tweaked it a bit. Custom one off.
You're right... that track idle sounds mean! Bringing in the New Year with a (Mustang) roar!
Happy New Year to you too!
Idk how you don’t have waaay more subscribers man! Your kickass! And so is da BOSS
Thank you 🙏

Thank you so much for supporting the channel! I hope you find yourself in a Boss soon!
Such a great build! I love the new LS styling.
Thank you!
Love the exhaust and track key idle! Awesome Boss 302!
If you’re ever gonna get a cortex torque arm you should rethink the exhaust situation, adding those race mufflers would interfere with that
Good point I will look into that. I wasn’t planning on it to be honest but I wouldn’t want to do something that ruled it out.
She looking really good dude.
Thank you so much!
My favorite Boss on UA-cam besides mine haha.

Kicking you off the track for your car being too loud ? Why is that even a rule ?🤦🏾♂️

The camera doesn’t do it justice. I will try to get another video of the car driving soon once the weather clear up a bit.

If you go with HP tuners, Yes you get to keep the track key and all the features

Ayeee you were at the the cars and coffee on Sunday January 27 2019 in Coquitlam weren’t you?
Yes I was 😁
What size tires are you running all around?
Sick ride
Which quick jacks system are you running?
They are the BL-5000SLX model.
@@SeanMcGuigan Thanks man, gonna pic me up one. Makes it so much easier to work on your car!
Hopefully thats not grease on your big control arm bushings....
What about submarining the lap belt
Any concerns about that
In case you don’t know, the k member bolts are one time use.
I did know that but its a good tip to remind everyone. Thank you.
Hey Sean, did you go with the 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 header and were they ceramic coated?

Where your ARH long tubes specifically designed for the boss or can you use options for the regular GTs as well?
Nope these are standard GT Headers. They do make a Boss 302 X pipe that comes with the side exits. I would find that too loud of my tastes.
Hey man my rear quarter panel is scratched up and dented. Do you think they make carbon fiber ones for 2012 mustang gt?
Surprisingly not off the shelf. I have been looking into this a lot lately and so far I only see a few shops that claim they can custom do it.
Sean McGuigan I’ve seen a picture of a 2012 rtr mustang and it was a full carbon fiber body at SEMA
Crazy! Had to have been a custom job for SEMA.
Is that amount of smoke from the exhaust normal for your car?
It’s mostly condensation with it being so cold out. Also the car has not been driven with the new headers so it could be still burning off some of the oil used to protect them from rust until they are installed. Lastly no more Cats to burn off any extra gasses.
what cams are those?
zach delello just stock Boss 302 cams. Just has the track idle that comes with the track key.
Yo men hope your are well ! Just a quick question do you have the ticking noise
or are the 302 not plague with that problem ? Thank's in adv :)

Yes, the Joe Gibbs Driven is good for sure!
What splitter is that?
Friend of mine works in Auto CAD and has access to a Plastics manufacture. We started with a model of the Laguna Seca splitter and tweaked it a bit. Custom one off.
What car lift is that?
That would be a set of quick jacks. Check out the first episode of my ultimate boss 302 build. I go over the setup a bit. Thanks for watching.
