Great video. I am currently looking for my next mustang and torn between the 2012 boss 302 and 2012 shelby gt500. Why did you go with the boss mustang? There seem to be quite a few for sale right now.
Man those continental dsw06 have my rear all over the street and I live in Mississippi I may give the toyos a shot; though I’m a inclined to get a set of Firestone firehawks I had them on my 08 gt. What do you think?
Hello Sean, I'm looking to buy wheels and tires now...so far I have my eyes set on Konig Ultraform 18x10.5 +25. What I learned from your video is you're able to fit a 18x11 +52 with a 25mm spacer for stock-ish setup up front. Please correct me if I'm wrong, doesn't this effectively mean the offset was 52-25 = 27mm? In that case the Konig's should fit well, what do you say? Thanks.
Yes those would fit but if you were to run a square setup those rims would stick out real far in the rear. Might even cause the tire to rub which will be dangerous.
@@SeanMcGuigan Yeah, the rear offset has to be different, in other words, cannot do true squared setup with that low offset. Gotta choose rear tire first, then use spacer up front to have good fitment.
Nothing special just ford racing open ended lugs. Can be found on LMR for example. Opmustang sells some really nice ones if you are looking for the next level.
COYOTE swap or you get DEPORTED I ran the Pilot super sports in my 14 GT and they’re pretty good I do make 480 whp I’m FBO so the tire does hook decent with it so I’d imagine you be fine with those or getting the improved version and getting the pilot 4s. They’re good as the PSS wet braking etc and everything good tread too my set up was 265 40 19 and 305 35 19 but my go to from a 20 roll and up are the race stars 15in with the nt555rs on the back and 275 setup and they’re nasty they hook perfectly they’re 15x10 and I bought the Nittos on eBay two for 150$!
Stay away from the toyo r888r, at first it’s amazing but it gets ruined very easily.. the nt01 is much better.. a little more expensive but worth it imo
Excellent review of both the wheels and tires. I would love to see some out of car videos of you tracking your Boss.
Thank you! Yes I have some raw footage. I am working on a better in car setup. This season I am hoping to have it all dialled in.

Would a 14mm spacer work with this set up? Did you have to run negative camber at all?

Im interested to know the size of your tires .. can you share the size and aspect ratio ?
You should had left the mustache you looked like you worked for Cal fire.
What kind of lugs are you using?

Sean McGuigan will factory lugs work with these rims? Just got them today today for my mustang
Anyone know the best rear wheel size for comfort/street racing. I have 20in niche with summit 295’s lol not too comfortable.
