I saw that with somebody wearing a pattern of fall colors like warm browns, orange and olive green, her brown eyes popped out at me with the effect of a piece of stained glass with warm sun sparkling on it.

As someone who grew up in a dysfunctional, abusive household, cutting off my connection to my family is something I always used to feel slightly guilty about because of those pressures. I now understand my parents took their own problems out on their children, and I hope they have good lives and get the help they need to become better people, but the peace I experience without them in my life is just non-negotiable. I'm sorry you have gone through what you have, and no one deserves it, but you are very strong for knowing what was best for YOU. on a non-skincare note - being alone doesn't mean loneliness. I have been so at peace during the pandemic because I feel so stable in my relationships thanks to good friends and lots of therapy. (there have been 100% been bad days, don't get me wrong + I'm lucky enough to have privilege during this time), but when I was younger I was surrounded by people often and felt extremely lonely. If you already feel lonely, I imagine the isolation of the pandemic makes it WAY worse. Not to mention, I know a lot of people that don't like to be alone with their own anxiety + negative thoughts.

Absolutely agree! I highly recommend checking out a book called Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain. As cheesy as it sounds it totally changed my life and made me at total peace with being an introvert and not conforming to all societal “standards”.

Nobody should. What he described as enough alcohol to get him "slightly tipsy", AKA 10-12 drinks or so with 2-3 SHOTS OF LIQUOR, each of which equals one drink in and of itself, comes down to about 30-36 drinks. That would legitimately KILL most people. Even the most tolerant of all alcoholics would probably draw the line at 15 drinks in one night. I hope to God and for the sake of his liver and kidneys that he 1.) Was exaggerating, 2.) Doesn't drink often, and 3.) He doesn't know what constitutes a "drink" and got his numbers wrong. That is a deadly amount of liquor for someone *Dwayne Johnson's* size.

When I went from Poland to Malta I found that their shot is twice smaller than ours so I was ordering a double double whiskey

To me, cocktails are about the taste and I'm frustrated when I realise that I need to chose between slowing down and letting my cocktail get warm and watered down by melted ice, or getting drunk.

So glad you talked about the pressures of society to have family be the top priority no matter what the situation. As someone who grew up in a dysfunctional, abusive household, cutting off my connection to my family is something I always used to feel slightly guilty about because of those pressures. I now understand my parents took their own problems out on their children, and I hope they have good lives and get the help they need to become better people, but the peace I experience without them in my life is just non-negotiable. I'm sorry you have gone through what you have, and no one deserves it, but you are very strong for knowing what was best for YOU. I hope you know that your followers support you, but that you definitely have people in your life that do, too. You are a wonderful person!

on a non-skincare note - being alone doesn't mean loneliness. I have been so at peace during the pandemic because I feel so stable in my relationships thanks to good friends and lots of therapy. (there have been 100% been bad days, don't get me wrong + I'm lucky enough to have privilege during this time), but when I was younger I was surrounded by people often and felt extremely lonely. If you already feel lonely, I imagine the isolation of the pandemic makes it WAY worse. Not to mention, I know a lot of people that don't like to be alone with their own anxiety + negative thoughts.

Absolutely agree! I highly recommend checking out a book called Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain. As cheesy as it sounds it totally changed my life and made me at total peace with being an introvert and not conforming to all societal “standards”.

What he described as enough alcohol to get him "slightly tipsy", AKA 10-12 drinks or so with 2-3 SHOTS OF LIQUOR, each of which equals one drink in and of itself, comes down to about 30-36 drinks.
That would legitimately KILL most people. Even the most tolerant of all alcoholics would probably draw the line at 15 drinks in one night.
I hope to God and for the sake of his liver and kidneys that he 1.) Was exaggerating, 2.) Doesn't drink often, and 3.) He doesn't know what constitutes a "drink" and got his numbers wrong.
That is a deadly amount of liquor for someone *Dwayne Johnson's* size.

When I went from Poland to Malta I found that their shot is twice smaller than ours so I was ordering a double double whiskey
