This last week got on top of me ,so had a cortesteroid injection, the pain has eased up somewhat.i wont give up on the hip routine though it does loosen up my creaky hips ,not bad for a 60 yo.!
Thank you for this. I came across it tonight. I have hip bursitis, gluteal tendonitis, and plantar fasciitis which makes walking very painful I was also told by the doctor that my pelvis is quite twisted resulting in one leg being 1.5 inches longer than the other. I've been doing physical therapy for about seven weeks and have had dry needling done in four separate areas. My end goal is to be able to walk a mile again without pain- I hope adding this to my daily routine will get me there!

I’ve been doing this routine for about 8 weeks 4-5 times a week to deal with bursitis in my hip. The work has paid off and I have been pain free for a week. Just wanted to say thanks for posting this.
I found your videos after being given an exercise sheet from the doctor for hip bursitis. I’ve been doing one of your videos every day plus the yin yoga once a week for about 3 weeks, they have helped the pain so much, I am now comfortably walking 4 miles a day. Thank you so much.

Had cortesteroid injection too, worst thing i ever did! Doc made a blunder missed the joint altogether so consequently gave me more pain and side effects of cortisine ....lovely!

Had gave me a excerise sheet to do but it's hard and hurt to do the floor excerise, I came across your Yogo excerise on hip pain and bursitis and I'm really enjoying the stand with chair I see you have plenty more that I'm going to try out so I can get back into walking my 3 miles in what I love to do. I started yoga this summer. My husband passed and I could not sleep..eventually I found your site and I have to tell you, you have helped me so much. I have osteopenia in one hip and , at 72, work hard to preserve it. My balance, my hip pain, my elasticity, all have improved. 72 is feeling very, Rey good to me. Thank you..

Thank you Joelle, I tried this routine. It’s good but I still like your individual 10 minute routines which work better for me . I do a little dynamic movement beforehand which helps me with the stretches and feeling warm.
So thankful to have found this video. I can already feel a difference and hope that with commitment the bursitis pain in both my hips will diminish. Thank you.

Am hopeful it will help me strengthen my left hip and glutes, as I suffer from bursitis there. I want to be able to run distances again without this constant pain and muscle tightness. Thank you!

I’m 63 and it seems I have a new pain every other week. I try to do yoga at least 15 minutes once a day which I’m such helps keep me going. Well I’ve been trying to figure out what this pain deep in my hips is from and I remembered you and your class on bursitis. I've been doing this every day for a week and have been sleeping pain free. This pain has been bothering me for over a year. I've done months of rehab and stopped when it started making it worse. Acupuncture helped some but nothing has helped as much as this routine. I'm not even taking pain meds. Thank you so much!

thank you a bunch for these videos.not many good ,approachable videos for chronic pain..i like that these are easy and keep you mobile.,its important..i had just about let chronic pain take over my life and give up,then i saw these..im trying....i have really bad hip,lower down to the knee on the left and bad back pain my my lower L's discs..pinched nerve from falling pregnant..i also have Sjogren's syndrome and auto immune issues.......

I did your supine routine for 5-6 days a week for a month - I loved it so much my body would look forward to doing the moves after work each day! @@YogawithJoelle Help please. I am 70 years old, have been a runner all my life, and got back into daily yoga 3 years ago, after over 30 years away. Your short routines for pain have been amazing at fixing what I injure by straining/pushing to follow younger people's full yoga routine videos. Thank you! My left hip bursitis is much better, but even sitting in easy pose irritates it, if it is an extended time. I hurt it I think, in various seated open leg poses, straining to try to increase flexibility. Gomukhasana and firelog are sad renditions trying to get my left hip to open up. I can do a half lotus only. I don't want to stop doing daily yoga, but I am unsure how to increase flexibility without re-injuring my left hip. When I look at yoga for seniors, it is way too easy, so I need to find middle ground. Any suggestions please?

I have been dealing with hip bursitis for several years. First, in my right hip, after months of pain especially at night, I went to a hip doctor who diagnosed bursitis & sent me to PT. That seemed to help for a while but never completely so I went back to the nurse practitioner who again sent me to PT for some slightly different exercises. I even did dry needling in my hip without change. Finally I got a cortisone shot which slowly helped but it was always still there, just not as bad. Then my left hip started acting up, with slightly different pain in that I felt it more throughout the day with walking as well as at night. I have been trying to do the PT exercises for both hips and was debating returning to the hip doctor when I decided to try yoga & googled to see if yoga was good for bursitis. I found this video & have been doing it for a week or so. 2 days ago I realized I wasn't feeling any pain. Occasionally I have a pain but for the most part it is better. I will continue to do them daily to maintain flexibility & strengthen my hip joint. Thank you for sharing this video. I really did not want cortisone again.

I started yoga this summer. My husband passed and I could not sleep..eventually I found your site and I have to tell you, you have helped me so much. Thank you Joelle, I tried this routine. It’s good but I still like your individual 10 minute routines which work better for me . I do a little dynamic movement beforehand which helps me with the stretches and feeling warm.

I’m 63 and it seems I have a new pain every other week. I try to do yoga at least 15 minutes once a day which I’m such helps keep me going.

I've been doing this every day for a week and have been sleeping pain free. This pain has been bothering me for over a year. I've done months of rehab and stopped when it started making it worse. Acupuncture helped some but nothing has helped as much as this routine. I'm not even taking pain meds. Thank you so much!

I like all of the videos I've tried but this is my favorite. Doing the hip pain routines have really helped my hip bursitis. I've gone from rarely doing yoga (I'm a total beginner) to doing at least 10 minutes every day with Joelle's videos.

Thanks for practicing with me! I'm not sure which position you're referring to exactly, but generally we want the hips to stay level when leaning forwards, without one lifting higher than the other :)

I'm here because i feel pain in my hip and thigh area. whether it's IT BAND pain or brusitis, it just felt much better after doing these exercises. I'm going to keep doing these stretches until i feel no pain anymore. thank you, these videos are really helpful

thank you a bunch for these videos.not many good ,approachable videos for chronic pain..i like that these are easy and keep you mobile.,its important..i had just about let chronic pain take over my life and give up,then i saw these..im trying....i have really bad hip,lower down to the knee on the left and bad back pain my my lower L's discs..pinched nerve from falling pregnant..i also have Sjogren's syndrome and auto immune issues.......
I just tried this one and I really like it. You have quite a few now which is great to change up my routines. I have been addicted to the supine and seated routines for bursitis. Love your voice as well, very calming!

I’ve had a pretty rough hip pain in my left hip for almost 2 years now. This is day two of me trying any sort of PT… I’m gonna try for three weeks and I really hope I see some changes! I definitely feel better right now after doing it for two days in a row🎉thanks so much

@@YogawithJoelle Help please. I am 70 years old, have been a runner all my life, and got back into daily yoga 3 years ago, after over 30 years away. Your short routines for pain have been amazing at fixing what I injure by straining/pushing to follow younger people's full yoga routine videos. Thank you! My left hip bursitis is much better, but even sitting in easy pose irritates it, if it is an extended time. I hurt it I think, in various seated open leg poses, straining to try to increase flexibility. Gomukhasana and firelog are sad renditions trying to get my left hip to open up. I can do a half lotus only. I don't want to stop doing daily yoga, but I am unsure how to increase flexibility without re-injuring my left hip. When I look at yoga for seniors, it is way too easy, so I need to find middle ground. Any suggestions please?

I have been dealing with hip bursitis for several years. First, in my right hip, after months of pain especially at night, I went to a hip doctor who diagnosed bursitis & sent me to PT. That seemed to help for a while but never completely so I went back to the nurse practitioner who again sent me to PT for some slightly different exercises. I even did dry needling in my hip without change. Finally I got a cortisone shot which slowly helped but it was always still there, just not as bad. Then my left hip started acting up, with slightly different pain in that I felt it more throughout the day with walking as well as at night. I have been trying to do the PT exercises for both hips and was debating returning to the hip doctor when I decided to try yoga & googled to see if yoga was good for bursitis. I found this video & have been doing it for a week or so. 2 days ago I realized I wasn't feeling any pain. Occasionally I have a pain but for the most part it is better. I will continue to do them daily to maintain flexibility & strengthen my hip joint. Thank you for sharing this video. I really did not want cortisone again.
