How is Hugo a year on? What substrate? How much humidity and are you using a moist hide box or just moist substrate?

Hello! Yes Hugo is still doing great. I've had him almost 2 years now. I've kept him multiple ways (naturalistic and bioactive, and I've switched back and forth lol). I just keep the whole enclosure humid with lightly moist substrate. I prefer coconut husk chips, but he prefers soil. If I don't use a soil mix he burrows into the live plants (not good lol). So I do a substrate mix of 50% coconut husk and 50% organic, fertilizer-free, soil. Currently he is in a bioactive 3x2x2.

After having him for a little have you noticed if he is thriving at room temp or have you been giving him heat?

Hi Jim! Sorry for seeing this late, I am most active on Instagram: instagram.com/p/CZNQvrwPOuA/?
Yes he was thriving at room temp! But once winter hit, and it started snowing, he went off food. The ambient temperature in my home naturally dropped. I tried supplemental heat but in the end he put himself into brumation. Sarpamitra told me this was normal due to the change in barometric pressure. So he is currently brumating at ~46°F.
