Great tip! But instead of taping the decal to the table I bought one of those cricut sticky mats and I just lay the bottom vinyl to that. Super easy!

I just stumbled across this video while looking for a way to make multi-colored cricut projects without having to "print" the design. This was amazingly done! You need to make more tutorials! You have a great voice, great pace, and break things down so easily! Thank you so much!!

This looked too easy to be true. I’ve been using registration marks and STILL managed to mess them up. Tried this method today...worked like a charm. Thank you.

Gina, THIS IS FANTASTIC!!! I have been working on 60 4 layer vinyl decals for a local middle school. I can't even say how much vinyl I have wasted. I tried your method and it is wonderful. I made a few adjustments (using parchment paper instead of the transfer sheet sandwich as the vinyl didn't want to release from it) but I am amazed. Thank you so much. I am now subscribing to your channel.

I have never done a two color sticker because I never felt confident. Well, I did try once using registration marks but that failed miserably. Thank you so much for this great tutorial. I did a two color sticker for myself doing it your way and it came out perfect. I am so thankful, thank you again!

Genius!! I have now subscribed, you made me sit here and laugh at myself, and how many times I have thought there was an easy way of doing just that, but couldn't for the life of me think of one! Very clever!
The taped edge of the top silver color would be referred to as the "hinge". It's probably the best way to apply
vinyl to a substrate, or to a bottom color seen here.
While this method makes it easy to line colors up, so that you can apply "all in one piece"...
it's always better to apply separately. Why? When applying layered vinyl, the burnishing tool can't press into the
areas of the bottom color, that are closest to the top color edge. And that leaves gaps & bubbles, which will
    dry & crack.
Apply, one color at a time. You can still use her application method. But the vinyl will be applied properly, and
    last longer.

I seen another person do it different then that, she actually puts marks on them in the Cricut design space and cuts them out. Then she aligns the marks and it comes out perfect without no hassle, but good work. Thank you!

I just completely RUINED my printed vinyl because it STUCK and I mean REALLY Stuck to the transfer tape. It is a different brand than what you use, and I didn't think to test it. Now, I have no time to wait on another piece of that specialty/printed vinyl to come in the mail. 😡 I am sure this will work for everyone using the same transfer tape, and is a VERY cool idea. Just MAKE SURE YOU TEST IT 1ST IF NOT USING SAME TRANSFER TAPE AS IS USED IN THIS VIDEO!! I knew better, and am only upset with myself for not testing it 1st.

I've tried this about 12 times in the past 2 nights...trying to make my first 2 color vinyl decal. (I've done HTV t-shirts for awhile so I have an idea of what needs to be done) This method DOES NOT WORK if your top color is more than one piece as vinyl DOES stick to the "transfer sheet".

Just tried this, unfortunately it did not work with cricut glitter vinyl (which BTW is the worst vinyl I've ever worked with). It just adhered to the transfer tape. I will definately try with regular and permanent vinyl soon.

does the top layer of transfer tape come off of the silver or is it stuck on there forever? thanks!

Were do you get your transfer tape? I couldn't hear over the tape coming off the backing. Nice tip! Thank you so much.
