SAMSUNG 83" S95F S90F QD-OLED But Not!

- CES 2025 is incredible with amazing innovations from Samsung Electronics and Samsung Displays. They have absolutely stolen the show so far.
The video is purely satirical as many of assumed we'd see an 83" QD-OLED.
To be clear, it was never promised by Samsung Electronics or Samsung Display.
This is me simply having fun with my own sadness. Hope you enjoyed it.
#S95F #S90F #83QDOLED
No Dolby Vison, no DTS-HD passtrough and now not even QD-OLED? Not much room to do less for more.
Cool to see Fomo and Vincent Teoh in the same room together.
I think everyone was excited to see each other. New TVs aside, its gotta be fun seeing all their TV review comrades. Its one of the few chances they can all hang out
I'm sorry for your loss. Ty for the vid as always Brian.
Thank you my friend! Much love!
Hi Brian. Following all your awesome content from CES. That’s two of us with broken hearts! I was too desperately waiting for a 83’’ QD-OLED to upgrade my A90j but sadly I can’t go down to a 77’’. Anyway hope you and the family are doing okay and thanks for all your great videos! Julio
Was waiting for the 83 qd-oled. I don't think I can do the 77 .... cause I just can't!!!
@julioirizarry4262 much love Julio!
Great update as I was debating waiting for the '83 QD-OLED, but decided not to wait and bought the G4 '83 during the holiday sales. Only option for going with '77 QD-OLED is to sit much closer to the TV.
I was already heartbroken at seeing the anti-reflective coating.
Get used to it😂😅
This year is a complete bust for TVs. You are better off waiting til march and buying a superior 2024 model when they go on sale!
We still got 77 qdoleds with even better color volume and brightness. The new 2.0 glare filter looks much improved
@@craighopkins4496 I agree. Brightness has improved and anti glare looks much better
unless tariff fears jack prices😱
What sale is in March, 4th of July?
I'm relatively new to the TV tech space. I thought the main sales period was Black Friday? Is there usually a big one in March too?
You are going to need to rename your channel to “Brian Needs Tech Therapy Again!”
😂😂
@@Elrod117 that was good one
Absolutely love this video Brian made my night
I'm so glad! You just made my day with this amazing comment
People keep saying “77in is big enough and not that much difference vs 83in”. ABSOLUTELY WRONG. Having both sizes in my home, 83” is a much more immersive experience than my 77”. On my TV stand the 77” looks so small compared to the 83”.
@IntotheFurther. I couldn't agree more my friend
A 83” QD-OLED would have been nice, but I predict that Brian and many others will be super impressed by the new RGB tandem OLED 4 stack panel in the G5 and Z95B. 2000+ nits calibrated, higher color volume, and over 300 nits full screen (allegedly). Really going head to head with QD-OLED and the most meaningful advancement from LG in a long while. Keep your eyes peeled
The gamut is definitely better see peaks Vincents Panasonic Z95B , so if hits say 85% BT2020 with real "true" black, should look wonderful, also probably easier to control processing on these tandem OLEDS , as dealing with real pure colours. So imagine dark scenes might be better again , Plenty of volume to play around with for mapping luminosity and hues anyway.
Ie a 90% DCI-P3 mapped really good will look better than a 100% mapped badly .
Anyway all the companies now have some great mapping , but normally they choose their compromises for tech used
That is the hope!
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY Panasonic Z95B doesn't come in 83" in the US, unless you get it imported somehow. The sadness continues...
This was actually very funny. I enjoyed the heartbreak more then the tv :))
🤣🤣🤣🤣me too! I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
If it looks like a QD oled does it matter it’s not?
That new WOLED looks great! Panasonic just gave all the details on the panel
Yes they did! I saw it at their event last night.
@ meets your requirements: 83”, more color, and “something new/different”
Samsung gets underestimated every year. They are not stupid. They analyse the market like nobody else.
IMO 83 inch OLED is a super small niche where many customers get a larger sized Mini LED TV because of the price tag..
They will probably generate more sales at retail with their matte screens, just because that is something that average joe and lisa can recognize as something new when they are visiting retail.
By the way the matte screen got copied by TCL this year.. QM6K has just a similar looking matte screen as the Samsung models.. And nobody is talking about it..
I’m a bit confused Brian, you were in love with this toy when you viewed the images and now you’re out of love when you discovered the description. Psychological or not.
Cheers from JM.
Very funny video, Brian finds out his crush did the entire football team so he went back home to his flashlight. 🤣🤣🤣
Welcome to heartbreak hotel (but at least it has wifi) 😅😅😅😅
You'll love the video 🤣🤣
At least with FOMO there, you will never be lonesome 😂😂
I'd sacrifice 6 inches from 83" to go to 77" (i currently have 2; C9 and A80J) to ensure I got a QD-OLED. The question is if the 83" Samsung is using the new LG 4 stack. The G5 sounds promising but I too had my sights set on an 83" QD-OLED. Lets see how the G5 does regarding Color volume. I know it won't hit the QD OLED levels but I'm curious if there is any improvement there.
Brian, it seems like your a80L 83" still rocks! The G5 seems like an upgrade, but I would wait for what sony will do with this 4stack panel.
I was really hoping for bigger sizes and lower prices above the 77" from LG.
A moment of silence for the end of QD-OLED. We barely knew ye.
At least at 83", the future is bright for QD-OLED .
Once you've gone big ,you can never go back
I’m happy with mini LED . Mini LED around 100 inches. I don’t need the best I won’t c it or know it to appreciate it . Just think the worst TVs are better than the best tvs of a decade ago and I’m still watching one of those and I’m quite content . Be happy with what you have .
This is going to be the most relatable tech video all year and feels more like a trauma dump than healthy therapy jk 😂 . As long as Sony come out with a 77 QD OLED I think I’ll be okay . The leaks that the Sony flagship will be a weird combo of WOLED and mini led depending on size is frightening me
Same boat bro
I was in the same boat as you Brian, waiting for that 83" S90F. I guess im going to go for G4 or G5 depending on prices. Or maybe C5 depending on how bright it can get...
A95L is my ride or die. I hope you too find your true love one day lol
I don’t see anything that looks better than my 77” A95L!!! Life is good 😊
You’re so lucky, you’re never going to upgrade!
It's ok. One day you'll meet the QD-OLED of your dreams. In heaven.
😂
I guess 2026 hopefully will be the year with a true 83 inch QD-OLED panel.
FOMO literally had to tackle Brian off off the hotel's 3rd floor balcony :D - Vincent was down below with his flashlight on the floor ready to identify the body ;)
Don't worry Brian, once you get some real quality time with the G5 and the S95F, at least one of them will win your heart.
You're not alone!
So is the panel that Panasonic announced, the Primary RGB Tandem Panel (4-stack), for the Z95B the same panel possibly in the G5? Was the panel actually made by LG?
Yes my friend! That's what the G5 actually is. I just wish LG said that.
@ I don’t understand why they didn’t!! They just allowed Panasonic to steal their thunder!
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY So could this also be the panel in the 83 inch S95F?
I guess the question of the year is . . . Which panel actually looks better, more colorful and brighter, the current 4th Gen QD-OLED or these new 4-Stack panels?
"i make mistakes when im sad" 🙏😂 dont we all Brian lol
Where can I watch these demos on my old G4 83.
@@MaAm-zj6hx 😂
Hi Thank You! For your work.
I'm waiting live talk about Panasonic z95b oled with primary rbg tandem panel!
For us consumers is always a plus when there's a lot of competition goin' on
Sounds like technology is pivoting. Interesting
I would just go with 77 inch QDOled not that huge of size diffrence between 77 and 83. And hope you get feeling better !
Loved this video. I hope it has given you some emotional cleansing.
Mini-LED's only get better as size increases so at 83-85 I would definitely go mini-LED if you're in the premium market. You're buying a premium tv for its HDR performance and large mini-LED's are a clear tier above when it comes to HDR impact. If the Sony leak ends up being real the B10 might cheer you up a bit after this heartbreak.
Nah, once you go OLED there is no turning back.
@Sinier940n OLED has some considerable shortcomings. If you read forums like AVS a decent amount of people come running back to mini-LED after giving OLED a try. It's ultimately up to personal preference.
If this 83 was using the new tandem stack then maybe that tells us all we need to know. Passes for QD OLED?
What would you choose, a new Sony A95M 77 qd oled glossy or lg g5 83 inches?
Guess I will have to go for the Bravia 9!!
Wait for g5 reviews first
LG is killing it this year!
Brian, you think we will get it 2026? Or i just better buy a 77 qd oled now?
@@pocangel no it will never happen
you need to have Vincint on this week.
Breaks my heart too, but what if Samsung is using an LG Tandem panel on the 83 inch A95F? That wouldn’t be so bad, would it? Let’s wait and see. SAMSUNG Also seems confident in its AI processor and color boosting tech to be willing to market this 83 inch as its flagship OLED
It's an excellent point! We will have to wait and see.
My Heart is Broken 💔 Too..I was Counting on Samsung To Release a 83" Qd-Oled for 2025...This is Unbelievable
I know my friend 😔
"Not for my family. But for me" 😂😂😂
😅😅😅😅
I was going to buy the 83F95S only if it was QD-OLED but Samsung have shattered my dreams
I feel for you BRO.😂😂😂
🤣🤣
The sad music hilarious 😂
😆😆
It's actually funny that every time LG surprises more than the other, first with LMA and now again. With old technology.
Best caption ever, I make more mistakes when I'm sad. 😒☹🤒
😁😔😔😔
Please can u confirm if the samsung s95f support WiFi 7
Articles I've read says it does
The more I read into it the more I think the four stack LG developed will probably be a great TV assuming uniformity is improved a bit. I think LG is going to be the OLED to buy this year if you want 83 inch. Shame on samsung.
So, I'm also stuck to a 77 Samsung S90C but I was eagerly waiting for 83 or bigger QDOLEDs. Suggestions?
Mini LED is eye candy. It’s not in a price range for the masses.
Will 4 layer stack be available in 83”?
4 layer stack is definitely available in 83" C5
I love QD-OLED, but colour-fringing is a deal-breaker.
83 C1 checking in.
I added some FancyLeds sync recently . I’ll keep waiting I guess
First things first;1) i hate matte finish
2) I wanted 83 qd-oled
3) I like the G5 and the qn900d 8k
Based on having almost similar specs w/ QD-OLED/W-OLED panels , Brian would you go with the 77" S95 F with matte screen or the 77" S90F with glossy screen? Is the glare free 2.0 on the S95F really worth paying the extra $$$ ??
The S95F is definitely worth it. The S95D was a good deal better than the S90D. Brighter with better tone mapping. The S90D also tends to get nerfed with updates
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY Thanks. Also your intro was hilarious. Sad that Samsung didnt come out with the 83" QD-OLED. But that LG G5 83" might just be the best yet. Thoughts?
@Pocket_Surfer thank you! The S95F with primary RGB oled at 83" is interesting but I'll most likely be grabbing the 83" G5 by default
is it the new tandem OLED panel though from LG?!!
We can only hope!
I think you guys are dismissing the G5. There is no way they would release a new g series that is a step back from the G4. It will be brighter, and more cost effective for them. They have to compete with samsung…
Is it going to be that much of a difference? Woled vs qd oled?
Dull colors vs alive colors
Yes, it is.
AWOL is coming out with the micro led and it’s gonna be insane
BRIAN YOU ARE DESTINED FOR A G5 NOW
Here I am using a 42" C2 where moving to a 55 S95F will be huge buts the only real upgrade, all the smaller displays getting scraps.
At 42 and 48, it's the same problem but at least you can move up. Thank you for watching
Matte finish display screens (any manufacturer) look like trash when the panel goes full black period! I couldn’t care less if they’re 4,000 nits or not or how good the color volume is. Or even how much light they block. They’re look like trash. These companies can take all of you guys money but they’re not getting mine. Trash… ☮️
I have a 77” G2 and a Samsung QN90B mini LED tv that I use as my daily’s. They have been great and I have no issues with either one, I will be looking at getting a 83” OLED and if there isn’t going to be a QD in 83” than there is no reason at all to get the Samsung OLED over the G5. However I would consider getting the 85” QN90F depending upon if the issues with the QN90Ds are all fixed this year.
Its fun but we're smart year or two behind buyers. We'll be looking for the 77inch S95D/S90D/G4 Deals at Best Buy this winter/spring
After owning a couple of OLED's back to the LG EA 9800 I thought my next purchase would be another OLED. My LG EA9800 needs to be upgraded finally and I think I am gonna go TCL QD LED. The price for a big panel is pretty affordable these days.
Thank you for reporting on this
You're very welcome!
If I had $7,000, I would be just as disappointed as you. In fact, knowing (1) that QD-OLED is the best and (2) I can physically fit it in place of my 85-inch Sony X90L if I had the money, I AM as disappointed as you. However, being that the difference between the larger sizes within my maximum physical space isn't that significant, I'd put performance above size, wait a few months, and see if Sony replaces their A95L with a model with a fourth-generation QD-OLED panel. Whether they replace it or keep the A95L, I'd get a 77-inch version, sit a little closer to it if I need the emersion, and be merry. When I was researching large-screen laptops back in 2019, I chose a 15.6" AMOLED over a 17.3" IPS LCD. If you do the calculations between 83" and 77", the percentage difference is the same. If I have to replace my laptop, I'd hope they have a 17.3" AMOLED, but if they don't I'd get another 15.6" AMOLED.
Also Brian, if you saw this TV in person and loved it why does finding out it’s a WOLED completely kill it for you? That seems really shallow. If the TV design and picture looked amazing, isn’t that all that matters? Not some label on what type of tech they used to give you that glorious picture.
BTW: I really do think the 83” Samsung is using the tandem OLED tech. Seemed to really impress you Brian 😉
I hear ya! But the label means the nothing but the tech inside is tangible. QD-OLED is unreal in its capabilities that I can see in all content. These still look amazing as they are oleds after all but I'm looking to go beyond what I already have.
Thanks Brian
Always great to see you Craig!
Well, I’m not going down in size lower than 98 inches and one of my living room. I have a 75 inch in my bedroom. And I want to put an 83 inch Oli in my office. I thought this was gonna be the one by your thumb now. But probably not. I think I might just buy the best Sony 83 inch OLED and call it the day.
Ahh, good ol' First World Problems! 🤣 Coming to you from my 2018 entry-level Samsung TV, which is the best TV that I've ever owned personally.
If you said Vincent T. And FOMO are brothers from the same mother.... I would believe you!!!😂
🤣🤣🤣
lol crazy fool great video as usual though
🤣🤣🤣I'm so glad you enjoyed
I am glad i am limited on size of 55 or 65 inches but i would never have anything other than a qd oled again.
I wish I was 😅 thank you for watching!
@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY downsize 😆
@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY get the beta version. 😆
Why is it so hard to make85"
Maybe the new LG or Panny will be amazing! Panny is offering more info on the new panel.
Yes I saw there tv's the same time that I made the video but I was under NDA. Thank you for watching
Speaking of coping man, I just bought a new OLED last month after 5 years of hyping myself. Now all these snazzy new TVs being announced.
It's all good man, i just bought a new one 2 days ago 😅
I got one 2 years ago and I'm still good with it. Though now I try to cope with not upgrading my 2 other TVs.
@@frommatorav1 Ive been holding on to my old 2008 46" HD Samsung TV because its worked well enough and the picture satisfied me. Ive been looking at 4K TVs for the last 5 years waiting for prices to get good and features to improve. But damn, I got me a new Bravia 8 and its been amazing jumping into OLED. I kinda wish I had waited for these newer OLEDs, but thats how the coping goes lol.
The real question is is it a woled from C5 or G5?
Samsung did us dirty. This RGB/MicroLED will be too expensive if even real.
Brian, you used to be team LED no? Why not get excited for the TCL QM8 or rumored QM9 this year? It’s not like LG or anyone can get us the 97” OLEDs at reasonable blue collar prices.
If it looked that good to you in person why would it matter if it was QD or WOoled. You absolutely loved it and was about to make love with it 😂.
I found out she wasn't who she said she was😁
@ 😂😂 Dude I got the A95L in the bedroom and I’m in love with Sony processing! I have a 83 G2 in the living room and I love the A95L in the bedroom I see so much detail.
Hear me out when the leaked product numbers exactly the same for 55 to 83 QD OLED ? It would not make sense to be different panel technologies in same product number maybe just maybe something wasn’t ready for ces and later in the year, it will be qd OLED
Isn’t it all about the picture? Who cares what it’s made of , or how it’s made , or what it’s called. If the picture is good enough looking at it then it’s good enough. Period.
I would say just get a G4 but those TVs went right back up to their ridiculous launch prices. As well as the Samsung QD OLEDs. So You almost have no choice but to wait for the 2025 models
A G4 for a content creator has no value as it's already old news. I would have bought this at launch . I guess it's the G5 or something huge.
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY I really like my G4 because ot just works. But I do feel like it's missing that wow factor
Vincent is everywhere 😅
You’re the best
Thank you so much! You just made my day!
Btw your vids don’t show up on my home anymore for some reason
@Botiozuu I'm sorry to here that my friend. Make sure you hit the notification bell and select all
You loved the TV, you were ready to buy it, it looked great, Then you find out its not QD-OLED so its suddenly junk? Maybe the 4 stack BRBG Panasonic OLED will give you that extra color volume that hardly any material even makes use of.
When TCL going to release their flagship model's
No idea! They never give a release date. Thank you for watching
We need 83 inch QD OLED.
I have a 77 inch QD OLED.
I think 77 inch S90F value and quality and will there be a 97' LG b series?
and love you brother
TV technology it's fast evolving n improving it's not worth to chase a trend.
6:40 The QD 4 4,000nits is washed out, the look colours washed out compared to the older version. Same in 6:42 it looks like it's pushing the brightness hard and washing out.
Could be the camera not being able to keep up. But the blacks are def washed out across several angles throughout the video. The anti glare matte is bad bad bad
Def sad day. I wanted the same. QD OLED 83". Now what? LG G4 83"?
G5 my friend
The G5 might surprise us all, I know if i get the samsung i for sure will go to the servicemenu to get the 4000 nits an 400 nits full field. The wait will be painfull. God they suck with no 83 inch. However i think samsung is rocking the new panels of LG with the 4 stacks. It looks bright. The WAIIITTT arrghhh
Looks like a c4
