Good luck. Nitro heli's are awesome, nice deal including the spare kit, you can never have enough spare parts. That looks like a mechanical gyro...(you mention as flight computer, there is a box attached to it behind the main rotor) probably would be wise to upgrade that at minimum, hobby king futaba 401 clone's are like $15. Have fun, practice a lot on the sim before trying, good luck getting idle up throttle vs pitch working well.
Agh 2019 but you did got the belt wrong ur tail rotor blade should be torning clock wise but since it's years back u should know by now :) Do you still have it?
The bigger the easier it is to fly it’s a great helicopter to fly when you get use to it you will love it trust me I have three of them and two raptor 90’s so have fun bud
I love my blade 230s v2 it’s little but it’s easy to learn from but you can also get it to be just like the raptor it will do what the raptors will do when your ready so you may want to buy a blade 230s v2 RTR before you try to fly the big one because they said the blade 230s V2 can take crashes it’s something to think about so you don’t crash that raptor 30 and spend close to 7 to 9 hundred dollars to replace stuff on it
Hey bud you can buy parts for the old. Raptor 30 the newer raptors are the same thing so are the engine so don’t think you can’t get parts for it if you want I’ll buy it from you
That thing will mess you all up it will not save you from a tip over or side hit I tryed them so many times I’m just trying to help you out bud or get you a TRX V3 helicopter
Dude, sell me that kit please! I have $125 for it, you can keep its engine and blades! Of all the older nitro helicopters that were made in the late 90's, early 2000's, the Raptor has the best parts availability! You wont need that kit lol I would suggest to buy a small collective pitch Blade electric heli, they are tough, fly great and will teach you better then a sim. @ 2:20 that is a govenor, it helps hold the rotor speed constant Definitely swap those carbon blades for the wood blades while learning! The manual is very good for setting it up, also the side of the frame has marks on it to make it even easier. Need any more info Ill be glad to help, i bought one right when it came out in 1998! Lots of info on a site at, www.raptortechnique.com/
Well, I'm not so sure I want to sell it because my grandpas friend gave it to me as a Christmas Gift and he specifically said never to sell the spare kit because it's "difficult to get your hands on one". He said either use it for parts of built it if you want.
No thanks, it isn't for sale, and don't worry I won't crash it. I'm going to practice heli flying on my simulator, as it is not something I'm extremely familiar with unlike flying planes.
I noticed no follow up video showing this helicopter in the air? Either you never figured it out or you crashed is my guess. You need experienced pilots from a flying field to teach you (these are not easy like cArs they have many learning curves, terms...etc). Learning nitro engine settings in the air is tough enough for noobs, learning to hover nose in then inverted is even tougher. Training gear suck and always make it worse. Canopy, Gromets and Posts are the terms you were looking for. So, what happened?

Awesome heli!! Were you able to fly it?
Not yet.

@@rcbrosproductions9129 Id sure love to build that kit! Good luck
How is this massive? You have not seen the 100+ pound scale turbine helicopter that is rc? This is not big.
As far as helis go for me, it's massive. Especially compared to most RC helis. I know there are much bigger ones.
I give u 300.00 cash right now for it it be shame to c u crash it
