    23:38 I truly wish I had had access to these kinds of talks years ago when I was much younger. It would have had such an impact on my life. I used to feel so bad when I would try to better my life and people would say I’ve changed. Id have so much guilt. It took me years to overcome that and not fall back into old patterns and actually stick to making the progress I knew was right for me. Thank you for sharing your journey and wisdom.

    4:43 I think it’s also because she was able to lean on her man of God when she was feeling the temptation. I’m speculating. But that’s rare to never have backslide. Since my husband isn’t quite the man of God he should be or even wants to be I’ve felt myself go back many times bc I’m living with someone and have become one with someone who at the time equally yoked in the world standpoint but I grew spiritually. Or try to. It’s hard to continue when he doesn’t make it know that he prays. Or studies. Anytime I’ve seen him engage is with watching yt pastor like Jennings. 😅he gets mad when I tell him he’s gotta read the Bible as well. I’ve told him about 3 times in our decade of marriage. Each time he got mad.
    Any advice on how to handle a spiritual slacker or better yet when one grows spiritually becomes unequally yoked from their partner

    I wanted to know what does it mean if a man is intentionally (purposely) hurting his spouse’s feelings and in what way should their spouse respond?

    The Spirit les me to your podcasts this one especially and I realized I had a major soul tie with this one guy that I had been sexually intimate with. Even though things didn’t work between us I was holding on to him in many ways and couldn’t shake him off my mind and thoughts. I went through the practical ways of letting him go as you suggested … the clean sweep and all! I repented and renounced and reset. Thank y’all for allowing God to use you to help me a young Zimbabwean woman living in Canada.
    I have a question though. How do you break a soul tie with someone if it ended in the conception of a child

    • @reginamcclay6701
      @reginamcclay6701 3 місяці тому

      You can be there for your child because the child is innocent. A child need to have a relationship with both parents. You can be a mature adult and set boundaries so that the child can have a parental bond. Leave toxic situations alone. Why open up a can of worms. Your heart should be tied to that child, not rekindling a poisonous relationship.

    13:53 how do you deal with being used in a marriage for the Christian. Like what if they married u for the sole purpose of you serving them n it’s pretty much one sided.

    I love you both and have learned a lot from your episodes but honestly it bothers me that Ken brings up how Tabatha had to get herself together in the first 2 yrs of your marriage in almost every episode. I don’t know exactly what was going on the first 2 yrs of your marriage but I’m sure it was not just one sided. What about forgiveness? Doesn’t scripture tell us that love keeps no record of wrong(1 Corinthians 13:5). And if the Lord is able to cast our sins into the sea of forgetfulness then why do you Ken have to bring up Tabatha’s faults in almost every episode? May I suggest focusing on the amazing blessing that you both are to each other and how God is now using you to help other relationships because of what you have gone thru together?
