  • One of the most interesting aspects of developing an H2ICE with an extensive background in cars, street racing and engine building since I was 14 is the exhaust element. I also worked in a local garage/mechanic shop during my high school days. Running an engine indoors was always a problem risking carbon monoxide poisoning so either we had a tailpipe tube that ran outside or the garage door was left wide open.
Working on an H2ICE while its running inspires and automatic response to open doors. But with no noticeable gaseous fumes it causes kind of a mental short circuit since running engines indoors always required a door to be opened. In this video I have the garage door open from a previous video I will be posting which showed the running engine on both gasoline and then hydrogen so venting the exhaust was a given.
Here you see me start up the 350 small block Chevy V8 and manually adjust the hydrogen feed (knob turns) to produce a smooth running idle.
