Would it be better if they were forced to live with the memory of turning against the Jedi? I suspect the Grand Army of the Republic demobilized itself to a large degree. By self destructing.
@@Orto-jj2di But with hearts of confused heroes. They were aware of what they were doing. They looked up to their Jedi. They hated to have to kill them. Had they not been forced by brain chemistry, they would have at least simply imprisoned them. They were not monsters.
the clones kept their personalities, unable to use them.. be mad at me for saying this, but the final few episodes did not do a good job of doing this, to me the entire season was a mix of good and bad portrayal of the clones we know, these ones were different than the ones we saw in childhood
@@endminer9217 Clone Wars is the thing that made me a continuous Star Wars fan. Otherwise I might've watched all the movies, but I would've stopped watching all the new content they're making by now.
@@jamesashcroft8170 I mean the possibility where they got to complete all the other arcs planned for season 7 would’ve been cool. We were supposed to get a final Ventress arc, and an arc where Boba Fett killed Cad Bane. Oh well.
Filoni turned the biggest joke of Star Wars into a cold hard truth. To most people who view star wars, the clones will be nothing more than cannon fodder. To those who watched The Clone Wars, we know that they were the biggest victims of the war. Rex said, that the one good thing about the war, was that he and the rest of the Clones at least existed....I wonder if he still thought that as he and Ahsoka buried the bodies.
It's also sad that darth maul was nothing but a disctraction to lure ahsoka away. I'm willing to bet anything that darth sidious was counting on obi wan to let ahsoka go this time so that she won't be able to help anakin
Palpatine killed them. He killed the Jedi, the Clones, Anakin, all the citizens who died during the Clone Wars, during the Empire, he was responsible for virtually every death episodes 1-9, every single death in every TV show and comic. Damn
Anyone else just feel so much sadness when you hear the clones little theme mixed in there 😢 the boys were ultimately used as a tool to kill the Jedi and then discarded. Hurts a lot. Thank George and Dave for giving us the beautiful story of the clones.
I started bawling the moment I realized that Rex was carrying a shovel back to the Y-Wing. It was sort of like how I broke down when there was that moment of silence between Ahsoka and Rex after he pointed out that the other Clones would kill them or die trying... when Ahsoka raised her eyebrows... I just knew she was going to take off Rex's helmet.
I'm still butt hurt though that we didn't see Rex and Jesse fight each-other one on one. While that probably would have made the episode too sad and depressing for it's target audience, it would have been awesome
Guys where can I see all the clone wars seasons, I know u gonna say go to disney+ and pay for a month , but in europe disney+ ins't available yet , someone has an idea ?
The albanian pelasgo-Illire Shqiptar pelasge-Illire Get a good VPN and do it. Pretty sure it is out though. I’m in the UK and it came out officially here a little while ago.
I just realized that the arcs for all the clones in the Saleucami Trio ended in tragedy. Hardcase joined an unsanctioned mission with Fives only for the thrills, and sacrificed himself to save his brothers and complete the mission. Jesse died as you described. As for poor Kix, he suffered a fate worse than death. As a medic, he cared deeply for his brothers, and because he got closer than anyone else to saving them from Order 66, he was put on ice until long after the Clone Wars and is now all alone, probably a fate worse than death for a clone.
Sean Jau it’s crazy most people don’t know that, kix was the last surviving clone. crazy to think that when you see him in older episodes knowing his fate.
@@seanj4119 Yeah, that was one thing I was reflecting on when I saw Jesse's helmet in spoiler thumbnails and whatnot: We got Domino back in the game with Echo at the beginning of the season, but now we lost as you called them, "The Saleucami Trio". I honestly live for these kind of heart rips.
“You’re a good soldier rex, and so is every one of those soldiers down there. They may be willing to die but I am not the one who is going to kill them.” - Ashoka Tano
And that’s why Ahsoka isn’t a Jedi. She’s far better than any of the Jedi on the council. Perhaps not in combat ability, but in spirit, honor, and integrity.
@@menph1096 I think Its easier to judge people on their decisions than actually make them. If council wanted to stay true to the Jedi path they would have to completely remove Jedi from the military and that, as far as they knew, could lead to much more warcrimes and needles suffering as clone leadership didnt really have strong moral beliefs and was created with the purpose of winning the war at all cost.
@@menph1096 She is pretty god damn good at combat, not only being able to put up with an entire venator of clones while most jedi MASTERS got killed by like 2-5 of them, but also nearly killing Darth Vader in Rebels. Actually I think she couldve killed him if she wanted, she aimed for the mask on purpose.
When the camera panned over to Jesse’s helmet I swear to god I started crying. Everything they’ve ever known was gone. Wiped away by 3 words. Practically everyone Rex has ever known, all of his brothers, were dead. Fives, Jesse, Hardcase, Tup, probably Dogma. Kix was put in stasis. Echo’s off with the bad batch. Cody’s under the chip. My heart hurts.
“We’re just numbers 99..” “Not to me.. to me you’ve always had a name” Even when they turned against her Ahsoka never saw them as faceless soldiers she saw them as friends and brothers
Having Jesse's helmet there really represents all that was lost. The trooper who had the Republic Cog painted on his helmet and tattooed to his face is burried along with the Republic he fought for. Used as unknowing pawns in a plan to kill the only people who cared about them, they were thrown away and replaced by Storm troopers who ironically lack the individuality that the Clones once had. RIP troopers.. we won't forget you.
Both were intended to be an army of identical, faceless soldiers. The true irony being that the most individual of the armies was composed of clones, while the real faceless force was made of actual people
Just so you know, the "republic cog" is the symbol of the Order of the Bendu - which was an order of pre-Jedi monks who were all about protecting the balance of the force and such things. The Empire added two spokes to it when Palpatine took over, similar to how Hitler took a religious symbol (the Swastika) and used it for his own, nefarious, devices.
@Ocyrax_2 Actually the contrary bud. We all know Rogue One happened right before A New Hope, while when Rex and Ahsoka said it, it was during Order 66. Therefore Ahsoka and Rex said it first you clown
Seeing jesse’s helmet there made me cry even more because he was like the last clone (with Kix) who had a place in my heart. A tribute to Fives Echo Cutup Hevy Tup Jesse 99 Vaughn And more (Wow this blew up!)
- Rex: Fives, Echo, and before that, Hevy. There's so many troopers... gone. - Cody: Yeah, regular folk don't understand. Sometimes in war, it's hard to be the one that survives.
It would suck to think about the trauma many of the Clones faced after killing their Jedi Generals once the people who didn't believe the Jedi betrayed the Republic began treating them like garbage, like Vietnam War Vets faced coming back home.
My Son who started watching this when he was young, is eighteen now. We watched it together from the very beginning and he said one of the most profound things about the show that I will never forget. "It grew with me." I had to really think about that, what the Clone Wars, my generations Star Wars; which was the Original Trilogy and all of it combined must look to him. A show that started out as a cartoon, chronicling the adventures of one of his favorite heros; Anakin Skywalker, grew into a very adult and poignant story with serious meaning. The heart of any story is family. If you, the writer, can bring people in and make them feel a part of it; the loves, the loss; the triumph and the defeat; then you as a writer have achieved something profound. The Clone Wars ended the way it should have. We were drawn in and at the end, we shared the loss that we all knew was to come. This whole story, all of Star Wars is about family and redemption. What they failed to achieve in this new trilogy; in their quest for the almighty dollar, using directors and writers who didn't know or didn't give a damn about Star Wars; the Clone Wars made up for. I was so happy to be a part of it. More importantly, I was happy to share in it with my family.
Ben Saxon this show came out when I was 6. I’m 17 now. I never lost the love for this show I had. It grew with all of us. It went from a Kiddie Star Wars cartoon to one of the greatest TV shows produced
You’re son perfectly described how I felt about this show, and Ahsoka especially. We grew up together. Clone Wars was one of the only shows I watched as it aired, and I’m so glad Dave and the cast got a chance to finish the story!
This show came out when I was in first grade. I remember counting down the days for the movie to premiere on Cartoon Network while watching the countdown timer displayed on all the shows leading up to the grand moment. I ate dinner in our living room while my family ate in the kitchen, and I was captivated. I watched every episode with my dad every Friday night they would come out. I am now 19 and a rising sophomore in college, this show, more so than anything else I have experienced, I feel has grown with me. I matured alongside Ashoka, I messed up as she messed up and learned while she did. This show might not mean much to some older audience members who just see it as a Star Wars TV show, but to me and many others around my age, this show represents our childhood and growing up. It’s a perfect thing to experience, and I am beyond lucky to have grown up at this exact time.
Kamui Dragon although he directs animated shows imagine if the whole team from season 7 of the clone wars had written and directed ep7-9, i think it would have next to no hate and everyone would be impressed and taken back.
My big brother died three days ago and this is all I can listen to. We both loved Star Wars so much, this hurts so badly but it reminds me of him in every good way possible
I remember being seven watching the episodes with my brother who was in preschool. I’m in college now and he’s a sophomore in highschool. This was the end of my childhood 😭
I went and saw the movie for my 6th birthday with a group of friends I dont really talk to anymore. The Clone Wars was and always will be so much more than a show to me. This is probably my favorite part of the Star Wars universe ever. That movie and this show is just as special to me and will be as the original trilogy is to those who watched it all those years ago. This is what our younger generation needs to be remembered for when thinking of Star Wars.
"During the waning hours of the Clone Wars, the 501st Legion was discreetly transferred back to Corusuant. We all knew what was about to happen, what we were about to do. Were there any doubts? Any private, traitorous thoughts? Perhaps. But no one said a word. Not on the flight to Corusuant. Not when Order 66 came down, and not when we marched into the Jedi Temple. *Not a word.*
@General Grievous well it was because of sidious that they even existed, sooo... He made his toys and it doesn't matter to him, if some die through the hands of a Jedi or Maul. But in fact, Maul killed them
It’s been twelve years to the day since the movie was released. We sit here today, aged and far wiser than when we first gazed upon the movie and the series, and can now sit back and reflect on what everything truly meant. Who the characters were to us. What the stories told us. What the morals and lessons taught us. The Clone Wars began on this day, twelve years ago. It may have ended earlier this year, but the ways that it has impacted us will never be forgotten, and it leaves us with memories that will last a lifetime. Farewell. May the Force be with you. Always.
Its what made her the best commander of all the Jedi - she had attachment, but she didn't let it rule her. She understood the 'greater good', but knew that sometimes, you have to set that aside for what's truly right. RIP 332nd. The Tano Corps. The rest of the galaxy may not remember you, but your commander always will.
To me the reason this show ending hits so hard and is harder to let go is because this is a show we all grew up with and it grew up and matured with us teaching us important lessons in the beginning of every episode and now it’s over and it’s like saying goodbye to an old friend who you made so many memories with. The clone wars was something special
I was an 8 year old kid back in 2008, super excited for a new Star Wars show when that first episode with Yoda and the clones dropped. Its been 12 years since then and I'm in my second year of college when the finale came out. So much in my life has changed in between but Clone Wars has always been there
@@leftenantthunder Exact same with me. Looking back, I was too young when it started to see why people disliked Ahsoka, so I never saw her in a negative light. But as I grew older, and I matured, so did the show. It went from this happy, every thing ends well show, to things like Death Watch, the Citadel episodes, then the Maul and Mandalore arc. But for us to feel the weight of these episodes, the break between season 6 and this work of art were necessary. Because many people in our generation would have stopped watching Star Wads around that time because it "wasn't cool." But now many of us have grown past that stage, and can watch it without fear of judgment. And furthermore, we can understand the pain in this episode. We have had actual experiences, and may have suffered loss, betrayal, and simply pain. And with those experiences in mind, Order 66 carries a burden that our younger selves would never have (or nearly have) wept about. It carried more weight than episode 3, because without the build up, we only ever saw clones as little better than droids. But this showed us otherwise. Thats why the Clone Wars will always have a special place in our hearts. It showed us a weight that no movie ever could have.
I'd love for some Disney executives to read these comments, and see what it is we really want out of Star Wars. Did the ending of Rebels elicit even nearly this sort of reaction? The sequel trilogy? HELL NO... I think Mandalorian might though. We need more content like THAT. No bullshit politics or agendas; we want good characters and stories that actually MAKE SENSE and deal with things we CARE ABOUT.
@@nahor88 Sadly, nothing will change as long as Kathleen's involved. Notice how things such as TCW or The Mandalorian which she had little to no involvement in are some of the best Star Wars in years.

It’s always been remarkable to me how real the clone wars was. How real the characters were. How you could laugh with them, cry with them, learn with them, and even grow up with them. Each of them had flaws, strengths, weaknesses, and unique mannerisms. So much so, that seeing them on screen was less like viewing a TV show and more like watching something happen from a few feet away. The last episode was like saying goodbye to an old friend. I’ll never forget what you did for us Dave, never.

"Three years. Was it truly only three years? Three years of fighting and bleeding and dying for the Republic. We knew no other way. We came to depend on our Jedi officers, trust them as we trusted our brothers. They trusted us, too, trusted us to fight alongside them, to remain loyal to the Republic. Then it all changed. The Chancellor gave the order, and we turned on our commanders. It was like our minds were removed from our bodies; no matter how we protested, how hard we fought ourselves, we had to watch our bodies fire on our leaders. We knew, then, that this was why we were created. The Jedi are gone, dead and buried. Our war is over. Why would you wanna exchange that for some lousy troopers that cant even shoot right?
I have never been so emotionally attached to a show like the Clone Wars. I’ve been reflecting on what this show has meant to me and how it has impacted my life in more ways that I could possibly imagine. I didn’t think I would cry and be so emotional with the final conclusion of the show. My emotions stem from truly realizing that my childhood story that I loved dearly has come to an end. I’m tearing up just from writing this:( I can’t emphasize enough how blessed I am to have such an amazing childhood from this series. My best friend and I use to occupy the downstairs part of the house with 100s of Clone troopers, Battle droids, and Vehicles and made our own stories in line with Clone Wars. Back in season 1 of the Clone Wars, we would always call each other from our little flip phones at 8pm to tune into Cartoon Network and “watch” the show together. He is like a brother to me and I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to share these memories with him. I truly grew up with this show and learned so many valuable lessons from it. I’m 24 now, it’s been one hell of a ride and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I will always cherish the great memories this show has give me as we proceed into the future I’m so touched scrolling through the comments and seeing how much of an impact it had on so many people. Here’s a quote from the show that is fitting: Never give up hope, no matter how dark things seem. May the force be with you. Always.
A lot of people grew up beside these characters and watched them grow as we did. This is more than a show and they are more then characters now. I consider them my brothers and comrades (Even if some people think it's ridiculous), because even though they may be fictional to some, they're not to me, not anymore. They taught me more then I ever thought I would learn. They taught me to stand up for what I believe in and so much more. They kept me from ending myself, it's time someone did the same for them. They're more then numbers, they're men and I'd like to think that even though they were being controlled, they died as men. Not as the numbers so many thought them as. I will remember, I will not let their sacrifice be in vain. The world is changing it's time we changed too. Follow in their foots steps, be loyal and courageous. Be kind and smart, be stronger then our enemies, whoever or whatever they may be. But last of all remember these men, these brothers, for they will have our back when no one else does. Remember for all the people who chose to forget. All you need to do is trust in the force and we will prevail. We will triumph. May the force be with you and may hope always light the way. Because hope is the only thing that won't lead you astray.
@@kalairahallred3608 Your reply, amongst the many others, made me realize something. George Lucas is a genius. I can't say if he intended this or not, but I feel like he did. He came up with stories and a universe for us to admire. Think about the connection everyone has with his creation. It's silly to think about characters in a SHOW or MOVIE the way we all are in these comments, but we are. In a way, they aren't just characters. Someone created them, gave them purpose, development, a story, etc. We are supposed to connect with them. George Lucas, Dave Filoni, and the others have given us all so much hope. No matter how childish or cheesy the scenes may have been, they carried heavy values and ideals. Things that every one of us struggles with daily. Star Wars gives us hope by allowing everyone to connect with each other, to understand one another. And, it has been very successful in this way. Not only within our generation but for DECADES, has the stories from the Star Wars universe carried so many people. We're all just trying to live our lives. We all struggle in many ways. Very similar ways too, but because we are so incredibly unique and that our universe is so incredibly chaotic, the same scenario for one person can affect another person in a completely different way. Clone Wars was so great because it was almost a representation of our lives. There are SO many negatives we face, but there will always be times of happiness and relief. Shit sucks, but you just have to deal with it and allow yourself to deal with it and move on. It's too easy to destroy yourself in our world. Find something you love, find some sort of goal, and work towards it. Make it your life's work. Die trying to achieve something great. Who knows why, but this is what we're here for. Having hope is essential. I've lost hope recently and it destroyed me. I ended up in a position that I never thought I would've. I thought about my future in horrible ways. Never give up hope, find something that you can love. Our world is amazing in so many ways. Our universe is amazing in so many ways. It's impossible to fathom it all. The only thing every one of us on this earth needs to remember is that YOU deserve to be here and to exist. No matter who you are or what you've done, you deserve to exist. Believe it or not, we are all fighting alongside one another. There will be casualties and pain, but we can't give up on each other. We just cannot. I just hope that our society can heal and come together. It has pained me so bad to see everyone's mental health suffer so greatly on this large of a scale. We are struggling, but come, let's struggle together. Good luck to you, I hope that you may find what you're looking for in this world. You may not believe me, but trust me, you will. You may not be looking in the right place right now, but you eventually will.

The clones had three loyalties: first to the Republic, second to their Jedi generals, and third to each other. They all had nightmares of the order, the one in their dreams. Nightmares of the time when one loyalty would be placed against the other. They had the nightmares, but they did not know why the Jedi, the people who inspired individuality and dignity in them, would be their enemy, and they never expected the Jedi to be the enemy of the Republic. When order 66 was issued all the clones felt betrayed by their Jedi generals, who the clones thought had betrayed the republic… but Rex knew the truth: he was betrayed by the Republic, and the Republic had betrayed his brothers and the Jedi, his friends. “Were shoulder to shoulder on the front lines! This wasn't Vader here it was Anakin. The way he wiped the snow from around it and off it and treating it with care shows he is in pain at that moment. Thinking his little sister/padawan is gone and knowing this happened because of him. I'd like to have seen him maybe use the force and move the snow away from in front of him as a reference to looking for Rex's helmet. Maybe even picking up Jesse's before sitting it back down and walking away but I'm 22 been watching everything star wars since I was 5 and I have never cried like I did for this ending. It breaks my heart seeing Ahsoka and Rex have to bury there comrades before going into hiding and seeing Anakin have to come to terms with himself on that Ahsoka is "dead". 💔
I’ve been waiting for this.... this show was my childhood and I really don’t know what I would do without it. This episode was a perfect ending to the perfect show. Seeing Jesse’s helmet with the destroyed republic cog signified the republic dying and this was sad because he was also the last named clone of the show other than Rex and he died fighting for what he thought was right... Also when Vader picks up Ashokas lightsaber you can see his eyes, they’re not yellow so Dave let us see Anakin one last time... Edit: I know Kix is alive but for me I was more attatched to Jesse and seeing him die fighting for what he was told was right was really sad
,,I’m captain Rex. You can call me captain or sir.” ,,The names Fives, we call him Echo.” ,,The missions the nightmares, they’re finally over.” ,,Do what must be done Lord Vader.” ,,Execute Order 66.” ,,Find Fives.”
Commander Rex even if you and Jedi knight ahsoka tano don't join the empire I won't harm you two because of your bravest clone and Jedi that I ever met
What i think is the beauty of it, is the scene was built around the music. It drives home the end of the republic and the silent uprising of the empire. In the episode alone, when it fades from Ahsoka and Rex to the Lambda that carries vader, little is heard. It reminds me heavily of the 501st journal in its delivery.

Those working with the soundtracks for SWTOR cooperating with Kiner. SWTOR people for the movies and Kiner for the series. Would be incredible. Almost as if Williams never left
Watching the films only, Order 66 is between mostly nameless Jedi and Clones. Watching The Clone Wars made me realize how devastating this moment was, to both the Jedi and the Clones. We learned to care about them by watching this show, and Order 66 became a hundred times more powerful.
When Rex took off his helmet and was crying I got emotional this was such an amazing episode it ended the series so well and it left me with a emotional feeling inside and this piece of music just brings me back to that moment truly a touching episode
I never get emotional, but I literally almost cried when Jesse died. This will forever change how I watch Revenge of the Sith. The only other time I've been this emotional was, and this may sound stupid but, when I watched the season 13 finale of Red vs. Blue.
Beerman someone on reddit made a supercut of RotS and the new clone wars episodes. its about 4 hours long and is honestly the perfect star wars movie in my opinion. user is u/KifoPL
I hadn't cried once the entire arc until this scene and I just lost it. Just goes to show how much this show meant to me. It's my favorite animated series. I'm sad it's over but I'm beyond happy it got the ending it deserved.
I just imagine rex burying his brothers and remembering about them. I see him pushing the shovel deep into the ground and remembering through what he went with his brothers what incredible things they achieved.
The music in this last arc was just so enthralling. By the time that they were going away from Mandalore, that score just ripped through my dad, my sister, and me. We all knew what was going to happen. Order 66 was going to be declared in mere minutes, and that score made it all the more suspenseful. I know this sounds stupid, but it literally made me feel like I was sensing a disturbance in the force. And this beautiful piece of music was just so fantastic. This was a perfect send off to the best wars tv show there ever was.
Sensing it like you were using the force is such a perfect way to describe it … you just wanted to jump thro the screen abd warn Ahsoka right then and there
Imagine theres an alternate reality where Fives kept his cool and went about his knowing of the chips covertly. Then, during Order 66, Fives sacrifices himself to save Rex and Ahsoka. That would be a great way to end his character.
“I used to think that being a good soldier meant doing everything they told you, but we’re not droids, we’re not programmed. You have to learn to make your own decisions” ~ Captain Rex, The Battle of Umbara
When you realize that Ahsoka Tano was more of a Jedi than literally everyone on the Jedi Council...she refuses to kill the clones, only for them to die anyways. Even mr golden child Obi-Wan and Yoda killed the clones without a second thought. But not Ahsoka. And it didn't even matter in the end. Damn.
@Frost Stripe That's exactly what I was thinking the whole time. Where Yoda and Obi-Wan are cutting through the troopers at the Jedi Temple, Ahsoka is refusing to kill the men she knows are not to blame for their actions. That choice is what makes her the best character in Star Wars; from an inexperienced kid playing at war to a hardened soldier who refused to harm her men, even when they had turned on her.
That's why I'm telling everyone that Anakin Skywalker was a great Jedi master (who unfortunately lost his way because of the council's faults and Sidious's masterplan) because he raised her the way a true Jedi needed to be. A compassionate one who knows what trust, loyalty and empathy is especially for her comrades and the people she swore to protect. Anakin deserved that master title more than that jerk Windu and others! He did such a good job with Ahsoka. Do you guys remember the part in the old friends not forgotten when Ahsoka saved a clone pilot? At the same time, Anakin wanted to do the same in the movie but Obi-Wan didn't let him and said our mission is more important... She is his legacy. (Luke was like that too until The Last Jedi made him a coward and destroyed his character with that ''I tried to kill my nephew'' bullshit!) If Disney touches and changes Ahsoka's character too, I will be done with this universe.
The sadness that came over me when watching this was- to say the least- immense we have been watching for 12 years and now it ends, with 2 of our heroes (Clones and Jedi) killing eachother
"I hate to tell you this but they don't care! This ship is falling down and those soldiers, my brothers are willing to die and take you and me along with them!"
Wow, that moment was actually very touching. It was something that touched the very bottom of all our hearts. They committed to their duty until their last breath, unfortunately for the wrong purpose at the end when everything changed. Our 2 heroes now go into the shadows to appear again at Rebels like total badass. Amazing job man!
The fact he never became evil is amazing. He could have just as easily embraced the hate. He of all people had justification to become miserable and filled with rage, but instead he helped the Rebellion.
The end of what I think is the best series in Star wars. The where Star wars has also made what it is. A sad end. I'd be interested to know what they did afterwards.
There's a book about Ahsoka that takes place like a year or two after this episode. I'd recommend giving it a read. Rex isn't in it though so I'm assuming they went their separate ways not long after getting off that planet.
juka b In a certain way those words are true. We followed the story of those characters for more than a decade and now another Star Wars we now- Clone wars- has ended. We will likely never see another show like this in the SW Universe. Clone Wars introduced me to Star Wars a decade ago and the last episode left me broken-hearted that I have to say goodbye to it.
Luke: “How did my father die?” Ben: “A young Jedi named Darth Vader, who was a pupil of mine until he turned to evil, helped the Empire hunt down and destroy the Jedi Knights. He betrayed and murdered your father.”
And so, it ends. A show that affected millions. "May the force be with you" Good job Dave Filoni, you made us laugh cry and cherish this show. Goodbye Clone Wars
This last scene was one of the most emotional moments of my life. This show was a huge part of my childhood since six years old. The memories I have watching this show with my dad are some of my best childhood memories ever. I grew up watching every episode, from Boba Fett wanting revenge on Mace Windu for killing his father, to the citadel, to the Battle of Umbara, to Darth Maul’s return, to the story of how fives found out about Order 66, all the way to the Siege of Mandalore, I had been with this show for over a decade. I grew up with this show, and it grew up with me. This ending made me cry harder than I ever had before watching any show or movie or reading any book or playing any video game, the show was ending and this music made me reflect on all the time I had been watching this show. How incredible it was. And that’s when the emotions hit me hard. The last scene where Ashoka and Rex are sticking the guns in the ground and putting the helmets of the clones who died on top of them made my heart stop. I thought to myself, ”this show is ending” which made me feel sad, but I also felt like this was the perfect ending to a show I had spent my entire childhood on. Goodbye Clone Wars. Thanks for everything you’ve done for me.
The hardest part wasn't seeing these brave men die as monsters. It was seeing Rex cry for his brothers A battle hardened Captain that saw the best and worst of the war shedding tears because he saw through the fog and it broke him
A tear fell from my right eye when i saw that. You're right : he was probably the best soldier of all the Clone Army. The most hardened soldier. And yet he didn't fell in violence like Wolffe. Or in "madness" like Gregor. He just cry. Like any other human
The last shoot and soundtrack showing him(who you know)....it's probably the most heartbroken thing in the entire serie, all started with a clones and a young Padawan, and it ended up with the helmet of one of them with the symbol of that Padawan in the forehead, thanks for everything Clone Wars.
This is a masterpiece, it is difficult to look without tears, the Era has ended, now only hope remains. Many thanks to the author, from the heart for such beautiful music.
I started watching TCW when I was just 5 years old, back in 2008. Back then, my mind was so impressionable, so watching these brave clones fighting alongside their Jedi companions, sacrificing everything out of loyalty and love for their brothers and friends left a mark on me. My friends and I would impersonate them on the playground when I was in elementary school. I would enact their battles with LEGO minifigs. Watching them almost felt like watching a relative, or a part of me, or something, and watching them die for no reason, because of a command that pit brother against brother, friend against friend, made me feel like I was losing a part of myself, a part that had been so integral to me ever since I was barely a child. I truly hope I am not alone, and that I have fellow fans who can relate. We must all trust in the force now. May the force be with you, always.
i wish so much I could turn back time and see The Clone Wars as a kid but i never saw it on tv or internet i can't imagine the feels you must have, sir. May the 4th be with you
My dude I am in the exact same boat as you I was 4 when I first started watching it. I feel the same way you do my friend. May the force be with you, always.
I remember watching the show when it aired all those years ago, now watching it end and this is just making me cry even more. God bless you Filoni, you Onion cutting bastard and thank you for this amazing story and its ending.
Ashoka was a true Jedi. She protected the weak from a true threat, she was respected by her men while she show respect back, she didn’t interfere with politics she stood up for what’s right, she tap into the force without abusing it, she was trained by the chosen one and treated her as a sister, and she stood up towards the Jedi council corrupt ways. Master Qui-gone would love her as a Padawan and he’s smiling upon her after this event and so have many fallen Jedi before her. And to the men of 332nd you didn’t die in vain. You were lead well and taught to be the best of the best and you had one damn badass commander protecting and leading you along the way. May the force be with you as an era has ended.
@@noakhstrelec8478 Well there were those times she decapitated four people at once or stabbed someone in the back. XD Not that she was wrong in defending herself or others, but she definitely got some brutality from Anakin. I still agree that she's one of the best Jedi, though, in the truest sense, not the council's corrupted idea of being a Jedi.
@@artemisorwhatever9828 i get it, because technically, but she pretty much is one honestly, saying they failed her when they needed them is the equivalent of saying she failed Anakin, both may be true, but that doesn't get rid of there actions and motives with eachother

They did die with actions of monster.

Filoni turned the biggest joke of Star Wars into a cold hard truth. To most people who view star wars, the clones will be nothing more than cannon fodder. Poor Jesse. He died as the thing he hated most: an unthinking, non questioning soldier who followed terrible orders without question.

Isn't it ironic that the Clones had so much more individuality than the Stormtroopers?

The music in this scene affected me so hard when it's playing and it pans over to Jesse's helmet. It really hit me then that it was over. I told myself I wasn't going to cry listening to this version, and you made me a liar, Sam. You made me a terrible liar.
Yeah, the clones theme just hits differently. It has a hint of nostalgia and sadness. Especially in this scene when it pans over to Jesse
@@LatinoLizard Really symbolic too, because of the massive Republic symbol on his helmet. It showed both the fall of the clones and of the Republic
@@cassu6 we usually thought of the Jedi whenever we talked about order 66. This show made us look at things completely differently. The show was about the clones till the end.

The only question is, what will we be remembered as?"

I will always cherish the great memories this show has give me as we proceed into the future
I’m so touched scrolling through the comments and seeing how much of an impact it had on so many people.

She's not a Jedi... She's what a Jedi should be.
She killed some in the previous episode...
Ahsoka was probably the best Jedi. She and Qui-gon would have made a great team

Just think how Rex was feeling while burying his brothers who he fought along all these time.
The fact he never became evil is amazing. He could have just as easily embraced the hate. He of all people had justification to become miserable and filled with rage, but instead he helped the Rebellion.
There came tears when I thought that Rex must buried all of them. They were his Brothers.
They were my brothers not expendable clones
The end of what I think is the best series in Star wars. The where Star wars has also made what it is. A sad end. I'd be interested to know what they did afterwards.
There's a book about Ahsoka that takes place like a year or two after this episode. I'd recommend giving it a read. Rex isn't in it though so I'm assuming they went their separate ways not long after getting off that planet.
It almost makes me feel like I’m saying “goodbye” to Star Wars.
juka b In a certain way those words are true.
"War doesn't determine who's right only who is left." - Unknown
Fairly sure that's Bertrand Russel
What a way to end😥“ The war left its scars on all of us.” - Captain Rex. ...
Hearing this and remembering my friends from the military it makes me smile but breaks my heart at the same time. It’s time to move on.
Luke: “How did my father die?”
Ben: “A young Jedi named Darth Vader, who was a pupil of mine until he turned to evil, helped the Empire hunt down and destroy the Jedi Knights. He betrayed and murdered your father.”
And so, it ends. A show that affected millions. "May the force be with you"
Good job Dave Filoni, you made us laugh cry and cherish this show.
It was seeing Rex cry for his brothers
A battle hardened Captain that saw the best and worst of the war shedding tears because he saw through the fog and it broke him
A tear fell from my right eye when i saw that.
1:13 keeps reminding me of my deceased grandfather who served as a Lt. Commander in the Navy, every time i swear it jerks a tear out of me
@@tylergarrett7572 thank you my friend, he died peacefully
"I'm a soldier, like you! (To himself) This is what I was bred for..."
Our fallen brother, 99
It was similar for me. I had absolutely loved the clones, and it was sad seeing them go.
i wish so much I could turn back time and see The Clone Wars as a kid but i never saw it on tv or internet i can't imagine the feels you must have, sir. May the 4th be with you
My dude I am in the exact same boat as you I was 4 when I first started watching it. I feel the same way you do my friend. May the force be with you, always.
@@Reaperfighter04 May the force be with you
I remember watching the show when it aired all those years ago, now watching it end and this is just making me cry even more.
She will be the greatest Jedi galaxy has known
@Raini Firefly she wasn't grey though, there wasn't even a little ounce of grey, she was all light,
@@noakhstrelec8478 Well there were those times she decapitated four people at once or stabbed someone in the back. XD Not that she was wrong in defending herself or others, but she definitely got some brutality from Anakin. I still agree that she's one of the best Jedi, though, in the truest sense, not the council's corrupted idea of being a Jedi.
Just gotta mention that Ashoka isn't a Jedi. The Jedi failed her when she needed them. On the same token, she isn't a 'grey' either.
@@artemisorwhatever9828 i get it, because technically, but she pretty much is one honestly, saying they failed her when they needed them is the equivalent of saying she failed Anakin, both may be true, but that doesn't get rid of there actions and motives with eachother
You begin watching clone wars, you wonder why so many people loves it so much.
You finally gets to the end, and you now understand.
