This Is a Huge major improvement for the Hammond collection line, this mean that mattel does listen to their fans. I'm definitely getting blue for my hammond collection.😁👍
If they decide to apply these changes to re-released versions of the previous raptor figures that would be most appreciated. Really good job applying them to Blue here. 👍

Mattel outdid themselves with this I will definitely buy it when it comes out.
Quick correction: the dimetrodon doesn't have glass eyes. Mattel used it as an example for adding glass eyes onto smaller figures but they actually didn't give it glass eyes. Instead they painted a tini bit of orange plastic and cut a hole on the head sculpt. My dimetrodon's eye hole isn't even cut out. So it's blind from one eye...
W MATTEL, this the best Hammond collection, or even mattel dinosaur entirely.
I also really really want them to fix the JP and JPIII raptors with these better porportions (with better accurate headsculpts, and paint apps on the female JPIII raptor). There's some in hand comparison images floating around already, and man what a difference these better proportions actually make.
Also comparing some of those other Blue figures/raptor sculpts, it looks like the leg joints on the HC figure start higher up on the hip, so having the stripe on the leg might be a compromise. It's probably an easy fix to re-adjust the stripe around with some grey (or some kind of paint remover like acetone I think), blue and white paint.
Another thing they got wrong here, and I'm surprised it took me a hot minute to realize, but Blue's jaw shouldn't be white either. It was grey, which they got right on like all the other figures. Hopefully an easy fix with some grey paint.
When I watched this video, I find out that Mattel has learned their mistakes very well and I love to see more new Theropods like Suchomimus and Yutyrannus ( both are from the JWE games).
Honestly for the raptor squad Mattel might just recolor them

Just came back to the channel to see what’s going on, and holy. This looks sick! Some changes, like better paint, wrist joints, and maybe beta as an accessory figure?? Otherwise this is sooooo cool, getting it for sure!

Personally my 2 only grips with blue is the use of glass eyes. In the in hand video she looks kinda dead 😅 and the other for me is the blue strip on the back half of her body. I feel its a little low for where it needs to be. And I can confirm that by looking at an official render of the cgi Blue on Google images and her strip rides along near more the center of her back not down on her thigh almost.
Now with those grips, i am still excited to be getting these two. With what ive said i can definitely fix those myself wiith some custom paints. If you think its absolutely perfect then im happy for ya.
I have the old and new HC T-rex versions and the newer glass eyes look much better so hopefully Mattel has got it right now.

The only thing I don’t like are the eyes. They look dead in some shots I’ve seen of it.

Not the biggest fan of the inset eyes and the way they lose their color and detail at some angles, but nice to see less clownish feet!

Amber collection in in a bigger scale so obviously it will have more detail sculpt and paint wise. This HC raptor has overall better proportions which is arguably better. You can have the nicest looking detail in the world but if the proportions are off then it just doesn't look great
