The only thing I dislike is the larger arms but this thing looks awesome. Kid me would have lost his mind seeing this on store shelves.
I agree. I would prefer smaller arms with no elbow joints than an oversized jointed baby arm. I have no idea why, but a lot of the proportionally smaller armed figures have baby hands.
Finally Hammond Collection is starting to deliver! Hopefully we will get more with this work level we deserve, really hoping to see new classic JP figures with this greater quality.
I pretty much abandoned the Hammond Collection entirely because I felt like they just couldn’t deliver proper figures for adult collectors. But this gives me a lot of optimism and I may actually pick this one up when it’s released.
The Carnotaurus is gonna be on my wishlist and I’m gonna buy that to go along with the BOTM Styracosaurus as tributes for Disney Dinosaur the movie.

I remember watching the reveal and seeing the front of the Carno, it looked amazing. Like completely movie accurate. It's lovely! Can't wait to pick this and Blue up!
Like you mentioned I really hope they revisit the old figures and give them the same high quality sculpts to maintain the consistency of the line, mostly because I want more ceratosaurus
One thing that keeps the carnotaurus from being perfect are those arms still it's beyond amazing.
Honestly I don’t mind the hand claws being unpainted, because i think carnos in real life don’t have hand claws
As soon as I had seen the Carnotaurus image they created of it running, I instantly thought " Well they clearly used the Sideshow Carnotaurus as the inspiration ".

My dad got me this guy for Christmas and it is awesome. It really has that Rodger-Rabbit effect as if it were ripped right from the big screen. My only problem is the neck articulation, but otherwise this is perfect.

Apart from the beefy arms, I really like this figure. Now, if Mattel wanted to make a "1994 Retro Edition Demon Repaint" version, I'd snap one of those up in a heartbeat!
I want this figure so bad. I have loved carnotaurus since the early 90s. I seen him in an old dino book I had. It would highlight a particular dino every week and one week it was carno.

YESSS they finally fixed the raptor's arms & feet, man I just wish they can keep releasing more repaints and multipacks of the raptors but I appreciate them focusing more on new molds/dinosaurs
Speaking of revisiting figures, Im hope they redo the triceratops, making it larger, and the elephant in the room add jaw articulation.

Its very good, though i HATE the arms on the jw carno in general, its one of the main characteristics of abelisaurids and its ruined here.
I can't wait to get it, and give it some battle-damage paint

I'm not sure what to think of Mattel's decision to use glass eyes from now on. From a nostalgic perspective, it reminds me of the Dino-Riders toys.

Oh boy I can’t wait for you to criticize it and rescululpt and paint the whole damn thing!!! That’s what we all like!!!
The long arms on this version are terrible and greatly detract from the charm of the Carnotaurus. The arms will definitely need to be modded made short. Also, something needs to be done to better conceal the Turtle neck look of the segmented neck. Maybe painting more black on the middle section top seam would help there. Same thing with the tail, the segmented look really takes away from the realism. I would have preferred a two piece tail. Finally, the feet don't look great and could severely use some painting. Otherwise a very cool firgure.
