First of all thank you for fixing my Reylo addiction! 🥰 This was truly deep - Rey shows a degree of wisdom and maturity that far surpasses her age and experience, showing her as a true Jedi. I wish they would have somehow nuanced it in the movie to avoid the Mary Sue discussions. That scene with her waving the sabre around and Luke watching - a 7 year old would have done those moves 🙈.
Thanks! I dunno there’s stuff that works in a film that doesn’t work in a novel, and vice-versa...I love her reflection here but pacing-wise it would have slowed the film down.
@@LouellaWilla they could have shown her for 10 sec bent over him, unsure what to do, closing her eyes or smth like in the forest when they fought, then leaving. Instead of the horse chasing scenes...
After seeing the proposal of Kylo Ren "join me" and this scene I am sorry to say it, but in the book Rey DEFINITELY does not have feelings for him. She would have been sad that he had not turned to the light, that she had lost Ben all over again. Conclusion: Prefer the movie over the book for TLJ!
I didn’t get the romantic aspect until the end of ROS. I felt their connection, but I didn’t think Rey had feelings for Kylo. She was interested in Ben for sure, but she could never stand by Kylo’s side.

The romantic aspect was definitely played up more in the film, just in how Rian directed Adam and Daisy to look at each other 😍
