- Using charcoal powder for drawing is a quite effective way to achieve a smoother-looking artwork. I have used the following tools for drawing: charcoal powder, graphite, cotton swabs, makeup brushes.

I've got a question, what did you use around 2:20 to spread the charcoal? Is that a tissue or something else? I'm very curious
He's probably using makeup pads. They're great for spreading powered color or charcoal power around.
