I think it’s a better way not just cause it’s cheaper but adds another skill and if you build more than one motorized bicycle a chopper one or other bicycle with motor kits it’s a helpful skill to make your own parts like those motor mounts and mounting brackets in house which saves you money and earn a little back from the maintenance or build for there’s as a business
I have a jessy James chrome 20 inch chopper bicycle my plan is to install a motor from eBay also put on an electric front hub and make my generator charge my battery as I drive with no peddles...

Hearing protection when using grinder or cut-off wheel and always put wheel face up on a table, when putting it down, just friendly reminders, I worked Sawmills 4 over 40yrs. Thanks for this. My latest G Bike project is a stingray and getting hold of the mounting brackets here in the UK is expensive as they are shipped from the states. Also the NoS kits are costly for the same reason, though I think that I could use a cream dispenser to make it work.
Nice idea. I just put an 80cc on my OCC Schwinn a couple weeks ago. I mounted it on an aluminum plate. Had challenges with the left pedal arm. Don’t hate me but I did drill a couple holes in the frame, one for the chain roller. It is a blast to ride and I’m 60. Had to modify the exhaust pipe also. It’s on my UA-cam channel. Bike was sitting in a barn and had rusted up. Could you show yours finished. Good video 👍
