To be fair, keeping the game alive is against CA interest. You see, if you keep making huge, polished overhauls that keep players locked into, lets say Medieval 2, who is gonna buy and play their new "game" that is mostly a reskin of the previous oner?
I know that kind of way running company, but it not fair for the modder and the community, we still have to pay for trash game and the modder make them good game for zero benefit, that I call not fair, and karma will always come after. That all I want to say, thks all.
@@alannguyen5452 The karma is we go and support them and encourage them and hope they move on to making a total war like game from the ground up and actually functions then slams CA down the trash bin and hopefully recover all the wonderful devs and programmers while their worthless marketing and management pack their crap and move on to someplace like EA or Blizz Activision and drive those series into the ground.
I made siege maps harder to attack because it was very hard to siege historically. For exemple for the siege of Rhodes in 1480, Ottomans were 70k mens sieged and lost again 3600 hospitalers. So that's why Akko or Jerusalem (later) will be so much hard to siege. It should really transform mk1212 gameplay and make siege very interesting to play and no more auto resolve.
I dont know if someone covered it, but instead of making the map even bigger and getting more factions I wished we get more unique faction buildings and techs. This mod already has over 60 factions to play.
0:10 I never thought that the mod is dead, however they try to archieve something quite difficult with only one man (DTrooper). That takes its time 1:40 How many members left the team and who joined them? (I am just curious) 3:35 Please no false hope. In the Q and A they mentioned that they have waited 1 year for the new map and now they work with the old one until the new one is finished. That sounds like that it will take way more time - I think 2026.
@@TheErickDH it doesn’t make sense because England has such an easy go at it with them being on an island surrounded by nations with fuck all units. Most my games England ends up dominating so quickly because no body can threaten them. Why do you think when Scotland and England united IRL they became so powerful?
@@proleterriert8075the map change should help. Part of why England dogs everyone is because France gets annihilated right off the bat almost all the time. With a strong France that has better cities, more regions and better spacing they shouldn’t be so weak in the future. That should curb England a bit

But I wondered if you can draw their attention to the Venetian and Scottish unit rosters. They are both very a-historical, haven't been updated in years, and feel very unfinished as opposed to other factions. I love both of Venetian and Scottish medieval histories but the main thing holding me back from playing them in campaign is the look of their rosters. For Venice in particular, I've studied their uniforms and clothing and historically they wore much more greens, reds, and white. And none of the later armor pieces in the mod from the 14th and 15th centuries match anything they wore in history. A quick google search of Venetian armor or Osprey book images will show much more how they looked and you'll see how different it is from the mod. Same goes for Scotland, I mean it just looks so unfinished as opposed to other factions out there. Not that we need this done immediately by any regards, but I just feel like it shouldn't be overlooked for future updates.
If they are expanding the map, is there any chance for including Qara Khitai (Western Liao Empire), that, in the current version, would border the far northeastern region of the map? Precisely the Transoxiana region, that they've included in the interview! That was a state with extremely interesting origin story!
Gotta say that since that latest update MK1212 runs very well and is now probably my favorite game. CA should really hire this guys if they wanna do historical titles
MK1212 is great my buddy and i got 50 turns into a campaign before it got too bad off with desyncs (scripts on) and we had a blast using the great looking units in battles set during the medieval period.... it truly is a spiritual successor for Med3 that we all want! I can't wait till they add navies and am excited to see what changes they make to the world map.... by gamers for gamers, its glorious!

Dont get me wrong, the mod is great and I love it. But what really bums me is the lack of unit stats variety between units. For example swedish axe footmen (or something like that) dont have any more piercing power than the standart english sergants wich are using swords. Stats between units tend to be similar accross factions, it just follows tiers.
The Major Issue with MK1212 is that the campaign is literally 15-20 FPS even on the lowest settings. I have a good setup that can run RDR2 on high-ultra 1080p, but when it comes to poorly optimized atilla, my setup screams 😢. So even though the battles are entertaining, graphics are modern, but the game itself is so laggy that I can not stand playing it. Ive been playing it for a few years with 260 Hours played but as they add more content to the game it gets actually worse in terms of stability and performance. I believe that the BIGGEST and most important change is to work on optimisation first. Then all decorations😢
I think the biggest issues was building 1212 on attila instead of using rome 2. Theres a medieval mod for rome2 and it runs better and the units look as good

I love the work they put into the mod, especially city management, but as a minority italian citystates/naval factions enjoyer that's the only thing which has been holding me back from enjoying the mod, and so have just been waiting these years for boats! maybe one day :D
Did they ever fix unit balancing in this mod? Last time I played it, archers beat everyone else in melee and a charge of knights would massacre whole units of braced spearmen.

I think could be good new video about m2tweops, the things possibles thanks to that are insane (check Steam and Steel, Third Age DaC, DenMod, warcraft total war and the unnoficial patch to the elders scroll total war to understand how that shit could help to improve or overhaul a mod), specially with the last big update (3.2.0.) and the next coming (the next will blow the mind of any player of m2tw). So i woul suggest expect to the next big update of eops, check some of the video examples with imgui and then make a video about it.

I saw it was update 4 days ago but it doesn’t work. I download just the pak files and the stuff it says to do. And deleted everything else because the last 4 months the game hasn’t been playable. At all. Is it working now and how? I have scripts and model pack 1 through 9 and everything I need but it just freezes and crashes
Currently its on the Attila map with new factions, but the map is being worked on for a full extension into new areas and new factions in those areas as well
wish there was a mod that started a rome 2 or attila campaign at a later stage of the campaign where there was bigger empires and larger armies, waiting hundreds of turns keeps me away from playing alot.

Sadly the developers didn't include the region of souss ( agadir city and it's nearby) in coastline of Atlantic sea south of morocco the stronghold of native berbers who makes a big part in the almohads caliphate army under their berber caliph what a tragedy
I think agadir will be added later on when they remake the provinces. I saw that Morocco will have at least 4 cities in it for their new map. Also the almohads were mainly based around Marrakesh at Tin Mal in the Atlas, not Souss

Maybe Otrar or Tashkent only, but in the year 1212ad the kwazermian empire held those settlements on the Sur Darya river.

Otommans and Seljuk were so buffed. And the Byzantines/Vlach not be able to recruit many balkan units. It's historically wrong in my opinion.
The problem is without castles and proper medieval cities it not authentic is it
cannot start main kampagne... can only do prologue ... dont get it ..
