Thanks so much for all of the positive feedback. Mark Adams was a powerful inspiration to me and even though I don't practice much these days, I can play those songs in my sleep. I used to play with a high school band called Radiance in the early 80s out of Rochester, NY and the funk is what got me over the hump. Thanks so much!
I don't know where you are and if you are..... I hope ya all do well !! An and Hey ! ......if you got some more of those great epic jamming stuf..... hit it on the channel ............ !!!!!💝💖💗💓🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍♥
You guys sound incredible together! How talented and fabulous a group! Truly saddened about the lost of these two wonderful human beings. May they be in a better place than this and deepest condolences to their families, friends and countless fans.
This is one of the best tribute videos i've seen so far for Mr Mark and Drac. Ya'll did em justice. The groove and delivery is on point fellas and this is comin from a true Slave fan!!! Thank you guys so much... Rest in peace Mark and Drac.
Man!! Mr. Mark's sound still ringing in my head.and to you Mr.scott Brown and your guitar player, an amazing job to both of you.hope you guys are still rocking.❤🎉❤🎉🎉😊😊😊
I'm 50 yrs old and listening to this brings back memories off me and my friends in the projects with our card board instuments thinking we was SLAVE..we the (THUNDERBIRDS) lol its really funny now 😏but anyway lol I loved it!!!
marcellino smith -guitar Centre has some nice tutorial DVDs. They might have to order them. Depending on where you live. I never was a fan of the 30 minute, see you next week type classes at most music stores. Try the cds. But don't be afraid to go by any music store and ask questions.
Man it’s something in Ohio’s water!!!! I was in the road with the late Gerald Levert and Sean Levert!! Billy Beck is one of my favorite keyboard players! I personally play the TalkBox because of Roger Troutman who is also one of my top guitarist besides my uncle Wah Wah Watson! RIP to Roger, Wah Wah, Big G and Sean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everytime I hear y'all in this video it makes me so happy and sad cuz Drac and Mr. Mark are gone Damn they gave us so much Funk ! And u all keep the funk going Lawd !
With the concept of R&B Rock fusion Cosmic funk with a slight pop feel (Steal your heart away.''Can we spend some time'') Slave has been the most underrated in Black American Music Culture. With Me. Curt Jones lead vocals on ''Never let you get away'' is monster, and his funk rock vocal skills are second to none!!! I was greatful to have Me. Mark Adams on my funk track called ''The Cold Funk House Jam'' Will be telling the whole story soon......Stay tune,I got some homemade funk for your ass! Solid!!!
Thanks for the video. Although I loved Mark Adams as well as any Slave fan, most of the posts forget about Drac who died before The Hansolor did. I appreciate you guys including Drac's work as well.
@mhbass Thanks so much. The guitar player Rick Marcel is the man--he played on a lot of the Cash Money records stuff--e.g. Party Like a Rockstar. I pretty much just mess around on bass to keep chops up. Thanks for the encouragement.
Great job brothers. I wore Watcing You out when it was on wax. I didn't know Drac had passed. Slave is part of my foundation in music education and my bass playing.
I was a singer with Drac for 4 years until he died June 14th...Thank you so much for showing this..much Love ... I am sure Drac and Mark is looking down on you both smiling...:) Thanks...Benita

This here is some vintage FUNGK from the Heart . Keep grooving fellows by the way I wish you guys could do DREAMIN' & SNAPSHOT or Aurra's When I Come Home. GLIDE(Pleasure) would was coming in Funky as well. BIG PROPS & RESPECT BROTHERS. Make it Funky from PHILLY!
Uncut FUNK!!! There’s not enough Lysol or Febreze to kill this much funk! I wish they would’ve kept going another 2 minutes. Stone Jam is Slave’s best album. These two brothers threw it down!!!
This is by far the best tribute I have seen of Mark Adams, The Hansolor and Mark "Drac" Hicks! You guys both possess tremendous talent to lay the groove down just like the originals, "Watching You" and "Stone Jam". And I know Slave's music very well, as a matter of fact, I love their music and I own every album they ever put out from their 1977 self-titled debut to 1996's Masters Of The Fungk.
Yo Scot, I didn't know brother!!!! I thought you just like to talk and brother you laying down the funk!! That's why you can talk bout it!!!!!! You keep it on the one I see!!!!!!

Great job. Both Mark Adams and Drac passed away the same year (2011) but their memories still live on. Wonderful!
