Looks great so far. The stain came out very well. Looking forward to the next parts.
Thanks. Part 3 is uploading now. It wraps up the project.
Again, thank you so much for sharing your techniques. Much to learn from you, that's for sure. Looking forward to seeing you complete the project. Especially as you strive to keep the end results from looking like something from a modern assembly line. Your treatment of the new keyhole is a good example.
i realize I am quite randomly asking but does anybody know a good site to stream newly released series online ?
@Izaiah Brayden i watch on Flixzone. You can find it on google =)
@Finn Callan Definitely, I've been using FlixZone for since march myself :)
@Finn Callan thank you, I signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D I appreciate it !
10:42 Like a glove!👍
Thanks.
After I watch your videos on restoring this table I feel I’m going to be able to do a good job on the 1920’s Minnesota sewing machine table. It was given to me and unfortunately it’s in worse shape than the one you did. I’m very patient and very meticulous, and haven’t done a lot of wood projects but I feel I can do a good job.
Good luck! You can do it!
So far so good... on to part 3.
Looking forward to the next video!
I’m looking forward to refinishing my machine as well. It’s a 1911 w no motor, I’m nervous about messing up the machine tho. I would love to have a chance to ask you some detailed questions about your process
By the way my table is missing the wheel and rod that connects to it so I’ll have to match up parts from eBay. It’s just for my own pleasure and not for resale.
You can normally find the wheels on eBay, but the axle shaft for the wheel was a rivet and they normally get pretty well ruined getting them off. I have used 1/4" bolts to replace them. I mount the nuts on a spindle and grind them round. I Lock-tite them on and paint them and they resemble the original peened over rivets pretty well. Good luck.
Lost Mountain Restoration Ok thanks! The table belonged to my mother in law’s husband who passed away. I’ve always wanted one since I remember watching my grandmother sew on hers. I’d really like to do the restoration myself, and do it well.
Hello, I just came across your channel and I wanted to ask a question since Google has been no help. How do I find out what year my Singer 201-2 was made. I do have the serial number off of it.
This is the site I have used before: ismacs.net/singer_sewing_machine_company/serial-numbers/singer-sewing-machine-serial-number-database.html
