I love how the card reflects her character. The way I read it, she (+1) knows how all the creatures work and how to trick them, and if she trusts you, she will (-2) share her knowledge with you. And in the end, if you prove trustworthy (-8) she will help you remember all you learn, and show you the essential secrets of a knowledge-based people; How to never forget anything.
I really do think that Tamiyo is an amazing card and I am really happy to learn her lore. Thank you for making all these videos, I really enjoy what your doing here.

Tamiyo has so interesting lore, but they could of done more with her. I think we will see her again. I know wizards of the coast claimed that we won't return to kamigawa, but I believe a return might happen especially now since They had time to create cool mechanics and keywords. I mean Battle for Zendikar is going to be amazing. I am thinking we will go back to alara so a return kamigawa might not be to far away. It would be cool to win a copy of Tamiyo she has a neat card design.
Tamiyo was one of my favorite walkers. She really tied together the first control deck I'd ever built. Nice to learn a little bit about her, thanks Seiben!

I didn't know anything about moon folk, since I started playing when Avacyn Restored came out. I bought a few packs with some friends and was blown away by her when I saw that my friend pulled it. I've been jealous of him ever since, haha. Thanks of the cool video!

Kamigawa is the block I started my MTG journey in. I freaked out when I saw Tamiyo for the first time! All the feelings of 12-year-old me playing Magic for the first time hit me.
Hurray for Tamiyo. Such an interesting PW. I always wondered what her backstory was and how/why she was on Innistrad. I think her story being so open ended is great, because it leaves us open to return to not only Innistrad but Kamigawa as well.
I really enjoy this concept that you have came up with and it's quite unique and pretty fun really. I must say, Tamiyo was a Planeswalker that confused me when I saw that she was in Avacyn Restored. She seemed so out of place, so you creating this video really puts me at ease because you have taught me more than what I was able to find. I really hope she makes a return in future sets. She is such an interesting character and she really has quite a uniqueness to her. It'll be very sad to see her be tossed aside completely.
I really enjoyed Kamigawa for multiple reasons. It was the set that was around when I first started. I loved the lore of the plane. Bushido is one of my favorite mechanics (I still have a Boros Samurai aggro deck). Tamiyo just gives me hope that we'll one day revisit there.
I once traded away a Tamiyo for a Mind-Sculptor. Then someone stole the Mind-Sculptor. If I get a second Tamiyo maybe I can find someone stupid enough to give me another Mind-Sculptor for it.
Kamigawa was my first Mtg, so this is just too great. I also use Tamiyo in my Stoic Angel control deck (modern) with great success, this brainy gal can really lock down the board!
I'd like to see her return in eldritch moon. It feels right, with so many things basically throwing the concept of Jace following her research, and with all the weird stuff happening in SOI, she might be the answer to so many questions

Tamiyo seems like a powerfull ally to any planeswalker she will enconter considering the amount of secrets and spells she posesses. Maybe some "ajani steadfast/cursed veil" effects on her in the future? For now she will fit perfectly in my modern choke, urbog, mindbend deck.
tamiyo is definitely one planeswalker I have not learned much about. so thanks +seibenlore for the video it helps me to put her into a little more perspective.
At first i thought that this planeswalker wasnt any good, that was a while ago but now i realize how awesome it would be to have nothing die and to have no max hand size!
I have a moon folk themed commander deck. basically the whole theme is out draw your opponents and lock out any answers your opponents may have. I know blue is an evil color but I still love the deck.

Tamiyo is a odd apearence indeed. Some of those curiosities - like a Kamigawa-only being influent on Innistrad, for no appearent reason - give the impression that Wizards are like "hey remember that?"+"hey, they also go to places"+"hey, we just want to be random"
I always thought Tamiyo was one of the weirdest planeswalkers since she was scarcely talked about. But hey, she still is a MOONFOLK planeswalker, and that is pretty cool.

First off, as a person who really got back into the game as Kamigawa came out..I loved the Moonfolk (You should really watch Kubo and the Two Strings if you have no concept of what Moonfolk are...it's just fantastic). And I love her card in my modified Jace "War of the Spark" Deck. His deck is Blue-Green and she gives me another avenue to winning...and it's a relatively cheap!
From WotC's Inside R&D videos on Avacyn Restored, they said they needed red and blue planeswalkers to complete the cycle, but they also already had their main characters set out. That is why both Tibalt and Tamiyo got little attention. I think they chose a moonfolk partly because the moon is so important to the horror theme and partly because Kamigawa was the last set that featured so much flavor. Obviously, it did not fare as well as Innistrad did. Kamigawa is now low on their list of planes to return to, but I for one would be excited, especially given the new block structure. We can see a block focus on Tamiyo's return home much the same way Sarkhan was the focus of the Tarkir block. She has a different look and ability set than Jace, and I would welcome a little diversity. Also, we need that astralmancer as a card. He would have been perfect in a commander product like Geralf and Gissa.
I actually loved the Kamigawa block for the flavor of the lore. It may not have had the most powerful sets, but following the original Mirrodin block and the ridiculous affinity builds that ruled the world, I think overshadowed this set. I'd love to get her, and to see another version down the line since MaRo pretty much said they're never going back to Kamigawa.

i personally loved the set that she was driven from it has some of the most powerful cards in magic like sensei's divining top, Sakashima the Inpostor, kumi of the crescent moon, and let's not forget the star dragons and many more
