I bought an NZXT C1200 PSU with significant coil whine / electrical noise issues. I sent it back and the replacement was actually worse. After extensive testing, it was confirmed there was an issue with the PSUs. NZXT have since confirmed that there are issues with the capacitors on some models / batches. I have since put in a different brand of PSU with no issues. Sharing on the off chance this is helpful to someone. Happy gaming all.
Sadly that's not surprising. NZXT seems to put appearance over performance.....or quality for that matter. Everyone is jumping on the ASUS hate, while ignoring how NZXT had a case that actually caught fire and handled it terribly until GN called them out. I understand they eventually made good on it, sorta, but they seem to have been given a pass....same goes for MSI and Gigabyte. I'm not excusing ASUS from their terrible customer service issues that have come to light, just that it seems like they are getting more heavily blasted than NZXT, MSI, and Gigabyte combined.
@@emilyshabangNZXT isn't under fire because that very serious issue was ultimately resolved (albeit through government intervention), and they don't seem to have had major, widespread issues since. Asus, on the otherhand, is an ongoing issue that, while not as catastrophic, is much more widespread and legally dubious.

I'm simply saying that it seems like Asus is being jumped on harder than some of the others. How many years have they continued to have issues with their GPU pcbs cracking? Yet they blame the user over and over. I remember in like 2006 I cut a bunch of motherboard trays out of a pile of Nemesis Elite(?) cases. I think it was the Elite... Whatever the Aluminum version of the OG Nemesis was... But the first batch used like 3/16" Al plate for the MB tray and they made for absolutely KILLER test bench stands! Sweet action Paul, excellent edit Joe! Hope you guys are kickin back this week! @@SquintyGears if your fans are dying after 2-3 years, I recommend: a) buying better fans, b) stop smoking, c) not leaving the computer on the floor. 2-3 years is ridiculous.
My very first build was in an Antec P180 where I removed the 5.25" drive slot covers and installed a Scythe Kama Bay for some amazing cooling performance on my overclock C2D e6600 and Tuniq Tower. Good times.
I had the black w/ green accent NZXT Phantom fairly recently i bought used for about $30 with disk drives previously installed from my local computer shop. I liked how it came with a big 200mm fan with green led lights as a little bonus. I decided to diassemble it eventually and do a case mod/test bench build that my current x99 build is in. I plan on doing another case mod with an older lian li or Antec case to put my x99 in so i can store it out of sight but still use it as a server/NAS system.
NZXT needs to make an updated Phantom! I am actually shocked that they did not have the S340 on display as that was one heck of a case for its price for the time, and I think its the foundation for the majority of their new cases as well!
Not a huge fan of the combined fans. I feel like case compatibility, and having the flexibility of individual fans is better. I am glad they are trying something different though! Always loved NZXT’s white aesthetic products. Thanks Paul for the AMAZING Computex coverage.
New MANTA please! An updated ATX 2024 Manta would be great. I know it was called The Whale :D but I loved it! A bigger Full ATX updated 2024 design would be great, with more airflow.
NZXT should do custom water cooling stuff. They certainly could see about getting the tooling for it as they likely have most of what they need already.
NZXT is still on my blacklist. There AIO Software (forgot the name) was bugged and they couldn't fix it over 2 years (sold it, don't know and care if they fixed it). And then the H1 desaster... sorry, takes more time to forget stuff like that.
Some of the stuff looks cool, dunno if I’d dish out for it. What I am tired of is the hospital white aesthetic that has dominated everything for over a decade. Would it hurt to have a more of a colored palette than white & black?
Thanks for stopping by, Paul! 👍👍
I really like that psu mounting solution, looks so much nicer than being in the bottom with a shroud over it.
I like that case design with the small room for the PSU at the back so you can get airflow from the bottom of the case.

Then we do rma and pray it's not another asus 😂

I not long ago bought a fractal case with a 5.25 bay at the front cause I'm eventually gonna buy a built in blue-ray drive.
That sounds like my case. I debated getting something external, but opted for the Fractal.
I wish a modern good looking case had a 5.25" bay...I'd like to add an internal Blu-ray player

I still use a black/orange phantom for my home server. Had the case since 2014 and still love it!
Kinda wish they'd done an H6 Flow micro, just tall enough for matx, only 2 fans up the side. Would have loved a really squat version of that case.

I like Orange too. Your wife is super cool.
Clean. Very clean.
Happy birthday NZXT!
Looks absolutely beautiful 3:32. But unless the fans are dead silent, I don't want it
NZXT’s fans aren’t very silent. Their P fans are worse than Lian Li’s SL Infinity.

i love my nzxt phantom 630 back then quite a lot
NZXT I want that C1500 psu in white with white cables like how the C1200 is.
I'm a big fan of those Fan designs, what a great idea!
I got the special editon with red details still til this day!
THEM NZXT fan prices looking good

We need a 420mm fan frame too, fills the front of the H7 better!
Have the H6 Flow which is just a great case and I want one of those new C1200 Gold white PSU's as they look stunning.
well im seeing my next case my H500 from 2018 has served me well..
Good thing I'm not there. I wouldn't be able to control myself. I'd point to that yellow case and yell "That NZXT has got FIRE!" 😂
I preordered the white NZXT 1200watt psu
excellent!
Now they just need reverse fans, everyone who sells fans should.
those RGB Core fans have a lot of potential use in GPU deshroud mods.
So when will the rgb version be available?

took till 2024 but NZXT finally made a decent case with the H7 IMO.
I've built 3 PCs till now and all of em are NZXT 💜
Still amazes me that practically everything is RGB now. It just took over. It's getting harder and harder to find gear in local shops that's NOT RGB.
I'm still using my NZXT PHANTOM 410 in Red, I want a new system for Christmas so I keep looking for candidates to build in!
can't believe but new h7 is prob most interesting case from computex

Hey NZXT where's the Zero or the Zero 2 those were amazing cases I still have my Zero 2
nzxt speaking to the true minimalists
I swear I wrote a comment earlier? Just asking Paul for a review and opinion on the NZXT H7 2024 Version.
What happens if one of the fans in an F-series double or triple core fails? Can you replace one, or will you have to throw the whole thing out?
is anyone making desktop/horizontal cases any more?
Cool !
I want to know more about Lian Li’s new L PSU
Pristine All-White Case and PSU (Comes in Black Too) lol , i may be alone on this one but oh well its still funny
No 420 fans?
Damn all the GPUs are Nvidia in the both showcases..
ugh why are cases so big. Im looking for something roughly half that size.
I need a new desk
I liked very
ngl the old H7 looks better, too much empty space on the new one
