That's the case I'll probably get for my new build (within the next few months) since it seems to match my requirements well. Of course, my options are severely limited when it comes to both cases and other hardware by my opinion that the perfect amount of "RGB" is complete darkness. It even has a version with opaque side panel!
White + flat or satin grey. Thats always a nice combo. And would be neat for the floating glass case thing. Pretty wild design, especially for under $200.
Those first two cases are absolutely incredible. I love the floating motherboard tray and wrap around glass. Color feedback: make an all black version. I would love to build a completely blacked out computer with no RGB and all black hardware if they made an all black version. If it isn't glass, make it black. Black, black, black, all black. I was about to order parts for a new build but I will wait just a little longer now and see what colors they come out with because I absolutely love those first two cases.
I am a fan of the Enthoo line, ever since building up a homelab server in an Enthoo Pro. 6 internal 3.5 drive bays, 2 SSD trays, and 3 external 5.25 drive bays that I used for a 4x 3.5 hot swap drive cage.
That Evolve X2 is a very, very nice case indeed. I love how the rounded corners on the inside pieces kind of hide the sharp corners in the glass. Definitely will be looking forward to this to coming to market, hopefully fairly close to their target price.
Instead of the silver, black, and gold on the evolve, they should make it that sweet big brick pattern from the enthoo. It reminds me of something designed on a star wars imperial ship.
I have an older phanteks white case and it frustrates me to no end that their older white cases still had black interiors. SO glad to see them finally make WHITE cases WHITE on the inside too!!!
Love that water cooling kit! The GPU and CPU blocks, as well as the pump/res combo, look really good! Will have to keep my eye out for that when I do my next build!
As a guy who has access to basically every paint color and a way to make very high-quality paint, a non painted, primed case would be nice. I would order a few at a time to customize and sell.
I still love my Enthoo Elite. Yes, ridiculously expensive and over-the-top, but it is SO good. The feeling of _always_ having enough space whatever crazy stuff you are trying to build. It will be sorely missed.
That 24pin RGB shroud is a great idea. I don't want an extension, I just want the universal RGB option.. and it's technically usable everywhere and regardless of power cable.
The only issue I see with the Phanteks glass case is you need to keep up the housekeeping of it otherwise it'll just collect dust all through the inside of the glass much like vacuum cleaners with clear dust collectors. The sever case though, that thing looks awesome. Would make for a great case replacement to my old mid-tower case I have now.
That 24pin RGB cable looks kinda neat at first but if they don't include a normal non-RGB 24pin cable along with this one there's gonna be issues once you want to use it in a less lit up build. So I can see myself buying that if there's the right options included, but not if it's the only one. I ditched my Lian Li Strimmer cables and RGB RAM when I moved my system to the Termaltake CTE C600 MX as that would have been too much RGB in the middle of the case and I wouldn't want to have to buy another PSU because of something like that.
For the Phanteks cases, I LOVE THOSE! I love the gold one! I NEED IT. I am hoping the mobo tray is hollow with a magnetic plastic cover on the rear, so I can tuck cables and them not be seen. I would like to see more of this case. It is GORGEOUS! I'm quite tired of the same old, same old cases. I would love to see a micro ATX or smaller form factor version!
I had the Evolv, bought a modded top and front panel for them to rectify the restricted airflow. Currently I have the Evolv X which is the new version and fixes the airflow issue from the original and its BRILLIANT This Evolv X2 may have to be my next upgrade :O
Phanteks is KILLING it! NICE STUFF!!! Color really doesn't matter to me. If I like a case, but it doesn't come in the color I'd like, vinyl wrap has become my friend. I've been on a blue trend lately with different textures like carbon fiber and brushed aluminum.
I would immediately buy an Evolve X2 but for ITX. Wood veneer instead of the black contour (could apply a wallpaper on it) and the silver brushed aluminum finish would look sick. A combination of Mac look and Fractal’s. Loving their design path.
I really wish the Evolv x2 was a bit taller so that you could do a bottom radiator for full custom loop. I also can't help but wonder if it couldn't have been even better looking if they used chemically strengthened glass to create a curved single piece of glass rather than 3 panels of glass.
Evolve X2 case would look good with a bronze metal against the black. Also gunmetal. And a gold metal against white plastic/ interior would look pristine. Gold / black looks good as is too.
Phanteks - Love the Evolv X2 but I'd want a version where the main chassis is white with the internal accent piece the colors you're already contemplating (but white on that would also be good).
If I were making a case like those Phanteks 3 sided glass cases I would make the colored inserts easily removable and offer them in a slew of anodized colors. As well as some form of an RGB diffuser. Perhaps even a visible LED array that can programed like a display. All would definitely hike up the price but I think it would be worth it.
if they wanted to get really cool with the bottom of that case they could make the base thinner and put the mount pilers in the middle so you cant see them and it would look like the case is floating. For color they need a wood finish.
With VR moving away from base stations to inside-out tracking I don't mind glass panels on cases too much anymore, but early on having a big glass cube on your desk was very detrimental to everything SteamVR-related.
Re the Phanteks Evolve case; The gap between the windowed panels is horrid. Why not put a 45 degree cut on the adjoining panels, so they mate together properly. Either way, gaps between panels is not for me.
I reluctantly had to finally part with my mid-2000s Thermaltake Armor ATX full tower case last year because my PSU swap didn't fit in it for some reason. I'm a weirdo with a bunch of spinning hard disks and the Phanteks Enthoo Pro II was one of the few modern-ish cases that could actually take them all. It was worth it though because the airflow is a thousand times better and there's way more room for long GPUs.
Phanteks need to have more room on the right side of the case for cables in their cases. It's getting really annoying that case manufacturers are leaving very little room for cables. We need at least 2 inches of room between the right side panel of the case and the motherboard tray. To allow customer to sort out cables without having to squeeze the door shut. Give us room, we need room, please. As far as the new glass cases, would love to see a "candy Apple Red" color as well as blue and purple colors. 🥰👍
I have the evolv x and its one of my favorite case designs the x2 is just as striking but in a more modern way. I really like that brushed black metal look and it might make me think about upgrading my case again.
Love the floating motherboard tray. But definitely scared about temps with 3 glass sides. Maybe add some options for "floating" fans? And watercooling mounting options. With so much glass a watercooling loop would really stand out in it. Hoping to upgrade my case soonish and love the P600 Phanteks case I have now.
I work as a mold changing technician for plastic injection with water cooling and i use those kind of fittings (industrial ones) they are nice for fast install and take out BUUUUUT there are cons and pros. So i might get into custom water cooling with these new Phanteks stuff. P.S i am disappointed that Paul accepted Asus sponsorship after the shit they pulled earlier with RMA scams.
Always consider Motherboard, GPU, RAM and Cooler colors for cases that open. I would love something more interesting, but when you see everything inside, black, white and silver/grey are the most common options I think people will stick with.
I really like the G400. Especially the white one. I wonder if that software can control things over network so one PC can control another PC's fans and stuff. Also like that RGB sleeve for the power cables! The colors on those 140mm fans looks great! Kind of industrial/concrete kind of thing.
Love the ways those first cases could be made to look. I like it white but would like to be able to remove the mono trai so I can switch the side to better fit on my desk
Let's say those 'Shark Bite' style fittings have barbs, not 'grooves'. It's like a fishing hook barb. A groove indicates it's some sort of depression but this is a catching feature.
Really nice new builds there, and these cleaner cases looks really good. Personally, im not a fan of cases with a massive logo on, but these looks both less " game gimmick " and more stealthy and clean. As for colors, natural as wood and stone are always beautiful, but for going a step further, perhaps a sort of " mix your own pattern or color " when ordering in some sort of app or website feature, and get a custom look? Pricing for the watercooling really nailed it. Very affordable and looks easy enough for someone like me to test it out that's never tried it before.
Really looking forward to the Evolv X2 case. I'm curious to see how overall thermals will look like, but I'm thinking it'll be my next case. It would be my first from Phanteks. Would love to have a black and white version of it. Or the silver be brushed aluminum, but I'm sure the price would increase quite a bit.
Phanteks could've... pivot the motherboard 90 degrees so the I/O faces the bottom and making the glass full round at all four sides with the cabling, PSU and the radiator tucked away at the bottom making it full-float and looks very interesting, but they seems hesitant for some reason.
Looking at this 3 sided tempered glass case that directs air flow cery intentionally, i wonder if a 100% mesh case that just take air from everywhere would be much better than an aerodynamic one with intentional air flow direction
For the rbg power supply I'd hope it has better controllers than the Lian li one Right now for those your best bet is using Arduino to make it fully addressable
I like the first case. My only issue with bottom mounted fans is with big GPUs is it's harder to fit a sag brace and that poor gpu was holding on for dear life
I don't like the curve on the first case but otherwise its very nice looking. That tiny pump/res seems really nice though as an ITX user who watercools but looks like its a D5 and not DDC so not as thin as id like, I use a phanteks Glacier R160C in my build
Phanteks, that champagne/gold color would be hard to match with anything on the market…A all white or a white with black accents would be slick. But that’s just my opinion.
I like the Evolv X2 and would consider upgrading from my Hyte Y60. I would love to see it in white, but then again I wonder, will they make the custom cooling (EZ-Fit) available in white as well?
The Glass case needs a graphics card bracked that can be discreetly attached to the floating motherboard tray! Sagging card looks especially bad in that case, and having a "pillar" gong down to the bottom would ruin the look!
Need Phanteks to start making motherboards and GPU's. With EVGA gone and ASUS up their own butts. Not sure if GPU's are even profitable. Its only a matter of time before Nvidia announces they're leaving the gpu space entirely.
I like both the silver and the pictured black trim on the Phanteks case. I do wish the glass was curved to match the innards - just the front piece, with 2 flat sides. $150 is not unreasonable. $120 would be nice; $150 w/the curved glass.... :^) My pennies, -bZj
How many fans do you need in the NV9 MKII?? If those were all running, what would the ACTUAL COOLING AIRFLOW look like?? I give them that they have some cool RGB stuff. But that doesn't let me spend more time trolling Paul and Joe, now does it???
Phanteks doesnt get enough love IMO. Big fan of the G500a for my main rig. I have one of their old ITX cases too that had terrible airflow but modded it for proper ventilation in the front and top. Loved working in that case but considering how shit it was stock im not surprised its not around any more.
The 3 sided glass is one thing, but the way they also encased the floating motherboard is sooooo clean.
The amount of time cleaning all that glass of dust. Windex will get richer.
Beautiful display piece if you'd like to show your pc off!
@@aliensounddigital8729 it helps if you keep the PC out of the dust zone (at least 12-18 inches off the floor)
@@aliensounddigital8729 I just use car microfiber cloths on my cases glass. No cleaner needed, the little microfiber fingers do wonders.
you could totally make a wood veneer for the piece on the first case if they want to chase the wood trim craze
We using eco-friendly wood veneer with this one 🔥
the Evolv X2 case would benefit a LOT from being able to invert the motherboard tray for placing your PC on either side of your desk.
Absolutely!
The gold case with all that glass looks more like an expensive expresso/cappuccino machine.
I have a high-end Jura. None of their models look like that. Same for Miele.
Maybe some budget brand pretending it's high-end makes one?
n e r d Forge built a coffee machine into a running working pc
Lol that was my 1st thought too!
Haha, I was thinking exactly the same thing.
I have a Phanteks Enthoo ATX that is god-knows how old, and this thing swallowed a 4090 like Jenna Jameson in her heyday
LOL 😂
Now that's a name I've not heard in a very long time...
Hey ohh! Excellent
You sir have just aged yourself with that name drop.
You're talking about Phanteks Enthoo ATX, right, @@bryann6712? 🤭
That evolv X2 is really cool looking, I'd love to see a gunmetal grey and maybe some more vibrant colors like purple.
Could make for a wicked Doom 2016/Eternal modded build.
I've had a Phanteks P600s for 5 years... fantastic case with great airflow
you mean phantekstic hehe...hehehe
Same. Great case!
That's the case I'll probably get for my new build (within the next few months) since it seems to match my requirements well. Could always put it in a cheap stand in case til the phanteks case or whatever else get released. Unless you are doing custom WCing or something

I can see that water cooling kit being many peoples first entry into "custom" water cooling.
I always thought a brassy finish would look cool, rather than gold
9:19 Gotta say;... I really do love "trims" and "back to front compatability" !
They should pair/match the evolv X2 case with a rtx4090 founders edition, that is what the wraparound shrouds immediately reminded me of.
Love that water cooling kit! The GPU and CPU blocks, as well as the pump/res combo, look really good! Will have to keep my eye out for that when I do my next build!
The contour fan mounting like that should really help case pressure 👌
As a guy who has access to basically every paint color and a way to make very high-quality paint, a non painted, primed case would be nice. I would order a few at a time to customize and sell.
White is a must. I absolutely want more Black and Gold options

How many double espressos can the first case make before you have to refill the rad?
I reluctantly had to finally part with my mid-2000s Thermaltake Armor ATX full tower case last year because my PSU swap didn't fit in it for some reason. That Prototype case is really nice. Lots of glass without coming off looking like a fish tank. Have to keep an eye out for that to hit shelves...
I love the idea of the brushed black metal or even a dark brushed copper

Always consider Motherboard, GPU, RAM and Cooler colors for cases that open. I would love something more interesting, but when you see everything inside, black, white and silver/grey are the most common options I think people will stick with.
looks like it would be negative pressure, so you'd want to close off the grates in the back to be safe, depends on the rad resistance Id say
_So, is it a sure thing that Phanteks will actually produce the EVOLV X2, or will it remain a concept never to see the day of light?_
I really like the G400. Especially the white one. I wonder if that software can control things over network so one PC can control another PC's fans and stuff. Also like that RGB sleeve for the power cables! The colors on those 140mm fans looks great! Kind of industrial/concrete kind of thing.

Red metal for the Evolv X2 if the rest is staying black... Red-Black is always a good combo
The watercooling kit looks very interesting. NV5 has some nice potential as well imo
Its really hard to find a nice micro atx case. I just cant stand these giant PC cases anymore like I used too.
Check out the Jonsbo D30, it's pretty high quality and decently priced. I'm pretty sure Antec makes them for Jonsbo.
Have you looked at the new Dan Case A3? It looks surprisingly good.
I'd like maybe a way to customize the color of those top and bottom pieces. They should just make them entirely diffuse RGB

White and black would be great for the phanteks case. I hope the scores with an air cooler on the cpu is viable for that case.
For the rbg power supply I'd hope it has better controllers than the Lian li one
Right now for those your best bet is using Arduino to make it fully addressable
I like the first case. My only issue with bottom mounted fans is with big GPUs is it's harder to fit a sag brace and that poor gpu was holding on for dear life
That glacier ez-fit is cool, it's about time we had more choice... I'm wondering if it's only clear soft tubing or can we choose black?
A black with copper colored aluminum version would look sick in that evolve x2.
I'll probably grab one of those Glacier kits. Extremely intriguing.
I have to say, the Evolve X2 cases look rather handsome. But not enough to get me to switch from my Thermaltake CTE C750 Air.
I don't like the curve on the first case but otherwise its very nice looking.
That tiny pump/res seems really nice though as an ITX user who watercools but looks like its a D5 and not DDC so not as thin as id like, I use a phanteks Glacier R160C in my build
That gold accented one would look so good with some Asus ProArt parts! (And yes, I am aware of the current Asus drama...)
It'd certainly be neat to have someone else besides Lian-Li get into the RGB cable game.
GOLD, ROSE GOLD, WHITE, PURPLE, SHINY MEDIUM BLUE, ALL OF THEM WOULD LOOK GOOD!
I do think that for the X2, a dark grey like gunmetal or space grey would be cool for like a nice blackout or galaxy looking build.
Doesn't look like that three side glass Phanteks case will be particularly custom liquid cooling friendly.

The first case looks like a kitchen mixer, I’m just wanting for someone to come lift the top up and put a big mixing bowl in
