    Hey a suggestion as I like the idea of the smoke test to show off a case's ventilation: Please put in a GPU, whether faux or real, with its own fans running. Because of how big a 3090/4090 is and how restrictive some cases are when it comes to card orientation, I'd have a much better understanding of what a case is capable of when fully loaded.

      @@Flipstips Liquid cooled systems even out with Air cooling systems. The difference is slight improvement in Liquid based setups till it reaches saturation point. Then it's just an over glorified and horribly priced Air cooler. Air is easier and faster to determine your cooling limits, also far quieter than 4 fans trying force air through a Radiator. Also, Water based systems need to idle down before turning off due to waters slow dissipation of heat. The best bonus is if something goes wrong it's super easy to change out parts in a Air set up. But I hear electricity loves water so have fun!

      From the owner of a basic H510 case, this case stood out to me like a sore thumb! I’ve been looking at all the O11 Dynamic-type cases and I’m always worried about the intersecting airflow, but this case definitely makes more sense to me, and also looks dope as a heck 👍

      @@pseudo3857 The type of case it is caters to PC enthusiasts, those who would put it on a desk for display purposes. Hence the unobstructed glass panels and RGB fans, the entire point of it is to be aesthetic and functional. You aren't getting aesthetics if you're putting it on the floor. note that JayZ is wrong here on this point, a positive airflow is indeed good for DUST reasons, but for TEMP reasons it is BAD.
      why? because exceeding airflow is gonna vortex inside the case in every corner and etc, all places aside from the main air stream, which will accumulate hot air inside the case (real world comparison: cold winter, people wearing multiple layers of clothing are going into a very warm shop and start sweating, but there is only 1 cashier)
      to achieve the best temperatures, u have to make intake and exhaust exactly the same (which is nearly impossible, coz meshes and filters reduce intake and u wont know how much exactly), or simply make exhaust stronger than intake, in this case ur exhaust fans will take the air from every spot possible, ensuring constant air refreshing, u dont want hot air to vortex and stay inside the case.
      and honestly, dust is not a real problem if u have filters, i clean my pc twice a year and every time i barely see any dust, but i personally tested all this stuff for myself 3 years ago using 5 fans with different in-out setups and all those variants with 3 or more exhausts gave me the best temps after playing the same game for 20 mins.

    • @triliner254
      @triliner254 2 місяці тому

    Id love it if you guys did a video that showed the airflow with the smoke in multiple cases like the 011 Dynamic, the Hyte Y60, other NZXT cases, ect. Would be an excellent showcase for people looking at case designs and capabilities for cooling especially with a GPU (real or Faux) in a horizontal and vertical mount as that would be helpful in showing the pros and cons for that configuration in select casses

    • @creedy5258
      @creedy5258 6 місяців тому

      Honestly? Not really. Case designs have become quite similar and the temperature variation just isn't that high, especially with the cases you mentioned, which are all using the same base for the internal layout with minor variations between them.
      It would mainly matter in the situation of vertical mounts, and the cooling capabilities of vertical mounting are usually reliant on clearance between the GPU and side panel.
      Source: My work builds PC's, we test and benchmark all the cases we use, it really doesn't make a difference, just ensure you have a proper positive pressure air configuration and adequate clearance for parts, spending an extra 50-100 for 2-5 degrees is utterly pointless

    There are posts on web forums and reddit with examples of a fan on the rear, facing the VRM. It dropped their VRM temp 10c to 30c (maybe 40c IIRC). One guy even made his own copper waterblock for that area.
    Stable voltage ceiling was raised for overclocks, but the lower temp on capacitors, and to a lesser degree, the surrounding components, directly translates to a longer board life.
    Probobly all depends on the number of Phases, if it has a VRM heatsink, and if you're using a cpu waterblock.
    Edited : spelling and grammar

    Just set up my rig with the H6 Flow non-rgb model. For anyone using air coolers on your cpu, NZXT recommends only using front, bottom, and rear exhaust. Apparently, top fans impact thermals with air coolers.

    I did a graphics card and power supply swap in my prebuilt recently. It was the first time I’ve done such extensive work too my PC, and I had to remove the front panel connector to get the power supply cables for the Graphics card out.
    And it was the exact situation you described when I tried to turn the PC on. Nothing happened because the connector was plugged in, incorrectly. It took a couple of go’s, but I did eventually get the connector plugged in.
    That was the most stressful part of the swap.

    I was going to get an o11 mini, but decided on this for a couple of benefits over the mini. One the angled fans finally happened, I've been waiting for this as I believe that this will create a more laminar flow of air directed toward my GPU and CPU. Second the front i/o of the case is perfect for table top, its convenience i know but it mattered to me. second was the fans on the bottom of the gpu as intake, but only con was 140mm holes stock. I only had 120mm but easy mod to drill out the holes for my 120s. I got the non rgb as I had 120mm fans already that i replaced them with.

  • @vMaxHeadroom

    Just recieved mine last week, non RGB version and more than impressed. Really nice layout, easy to build in and cable management is a doddle. Airflow with the side fans is very impressive. Have a 360mm AIO in the top, both 140's in the bottom and 3 120's fans in the side and cools my 4090 and 13700K without any issues and quietly...Very good design and at GBP 99 or $109 it is a steal...

    I have been watching very closely at your build videos, and my Fractal Meshify 2C is the exact example of what you demonstrate here. The front fans are 140, 240 AIO in the top, I do use a rear fan because of the VRM. The drive coolers are never exceeding 45 degrees (under load even) but this is of course because of fan curve adjustments and manual measure points. I am debating on bottom fans.... not 100% sure yet.

  • @Jan-zb5nc
    @Jan-zb5nc 6 місяців тому

    I love the flush fans in bottom. I wish they would do this for top fans also! It would look so clean! I don't like how top fans look from the side in any cases, except if you use Lian Li fans that actually look good from the sides.
