In this video I'll show you how to remove the sleep timer on the PSBSAP 20-Li B2 drill from Parkside. this hack should work on most of the Parkside Performance range of tools such as the parkside impact wrench PDSSAP 20-Li B2 and alike.
After 40seconds the tool goes into sleep mode and requires a longer press of the button to get reactivate. when bypassing this function the drill still uses around 26ma (after the light turns out) of power and that would drain the battery over time thus I installed a button to make it go to sleep properly, so you can leave the tool on the battery while not using it.

You should put magnetic switch (reed switch) in drills handle and glue magnet in drills case where it rests. So you don't need manually to turn on/off switch and it switches automatically when you put drill in to the case.

I'm currently working on the next Parkside video, it's a big one and will be a nice upgrade to the tools, so more is definitely to come.
i like parkside products as my local lidle sells that brand. If it's a tool that i need and don't use much then i buy Parkside as it will get the job done at a low cost. as for that sleep mode.....Why ?, one thing that would annoy me would be that sleep mode. so i understand your modification, well done on bypassing that useless feature. have you contacted Parkside and asked them why this has been implemented in to the drill ?

You can put tiny button on the triger while holding the triger it wil turn on like on a camera shutter button!
That's really smart! Almost like a Glock safety trigger.
You should have connected the original button connected in parallel. That way, if you forget the switch turned off, it will still work.
Mine died after 2 70mm screws . Now LED works for the first 10s after battery is placed in and that is it. Tried everything including multiple batteries with different charge levels and had no luck whatsoever.
I've been using mine for quite a bit and it's still holding up strong, hopefully you got a replacement under warranty?
