2ZZ’s have about as much usable power as a 1980’s dirt bike. It’s all high RPM and very short range. Not sure why people like that swap so much. A lot of noise but not a lot of performance. Nice Spyder though! Cheers!
For the road I'd agree, but have you driven a 2ZZ swapped ZZW30 on track? They are a hoot, and for me the fun of it is trying to keep the engine within that power band and if you can they are plenty quick and surprise a lot of other so called performance cars with much higher power.
2zz and crawling past a saxo at the end 😂
That GT86 is bloody quick !
This. I know the Spyder had an extra passenger but I thought it would pull pretty hard on the GT86.
when and where is your next track day?
i have a 2zz swapped 01 spyder.. what have you done to prevent oil starvation etc ? what mods ? good vid !
Thanks. I'm using an Elise parts baffled sump. However you can use the 1zz sump and oil pick up spacer as a cheaper option.
@@MRS-2ZZ ive got a 1zz pan on mine as we speak.. what is this "spacer" you speak of ?

You really don't know what you're talking about, and I doubt you have even driven a car with a 2zz engine before.
swapping the cams help, as well as ECU tuning
No gt86 is that quick standard
GT86 is far from stock- supercharged I'd say.
