yeah luckily I was standing off to the side a bit, otherwise if it had flown off and hit me he wouldn't have been so good... but the driver was also being careful, normally he said he would just get out and turn them sideways but he did them the cool way for our entertainment :). But he wouldn't have whipped it down like that if it wasn't held on to the grippers well.
A lot of the time drivers try not to hopper carts because they're hard to pack and take up a lot of valuable space in the truck.

you know it's funny, I almost always stand to the side and leave a pretty generous distance, but whenever I film a cool driver I always end up standing directly behind the cart and pretty close as well...

Ya call 311 in La and they will replace it for free and Rerhig pacific the company that makes them shreds the broken carts and puts them into new bins

wow those grippers saved your life at 0:25, if it wasn't for them, that can would have flown off and probably have hit you :/
that driver didnt want to take all those broken carts?? because If I was the driver and if I pulled up to the cart at 4:25 I would done an OOPS moment and say that It accidentaly fell into the hopper

Great footage, but you get WAY too close when a cats is stuck on the grippers. You and your friend might get hit one day.
