Aw, this brings back memories. I still have my NIV Study from the late 80s. The only reason I changed to the ESV was that my new church used the ESV and it was easier to follow along. Otherwise, I'd still be using it. I was just looking through it today. It's amazing how small the print looks to me now. Even though it mostly lives in its case, if there was a fire, I'd grab that one over my new ESV. It has so many personal notes from when I first got saved and was learning to read the Bible. It would be interesting to do a side by side comparison to see what revisions they did. We are so blessed to have all these options.
This one is a classic. I still have a couple of the early ones I bought back in the 80’s. Thank you for the review.

It is a good price. I usually buy bibles at ollies but around here it seems they dont have many bibles anymore
I ended buying the zondervan study bible off ebay in like new condition. I was going tl buy the one your revieewing but left comments on this asking which is best. They said zondervan niv stody bible had better study materials and more indepth and the one i bought was bonded leather and 3.00 cheaper lol
Im glad i didnt buy this off amazon cause of the spine
