I was hoping that Romulus might be some kind of adaptation of/sequel to Alien Isolation. But there's no mention of Amanda Ripley on its Wikipedia page, I'm afraid.
Greate work!!! For me, this is not just a game - this is a real gift for a fan of the Alien Universe. Thank you so much to your team! Respect from Russia. P.s. I really hope to someday see the continuation of this story. And so it was you who developed it.
Being a super fan of the first three movies, especially the first, this game was a love letter to those fans such as myself. The game far exceeded my expectations as few games do. It was the reason I bought a PS4 and the only PS4 game I got a Platinum trophy for. Not dying on a perfect play through on Nightmare mode was truly terrifying. It had me on edge the entire time. To Creative Assembly, thank you for creating an experience I will never forget. Thank you for making the Xenomorph terrifying again, a feat that Sir Ridley can't recreate anymore. Thank you for bringing legitimacy to the Alien video game franchise. I don't foresee this game being toppled as far the Alien Universe experience goes. The other one that comes close is the Alien vs Predator game for Atari Jaguar. That game far exceeded my expectations as well.
One of the best and most atmospheric horror games there are. It was the first game we played on our first playstation and it just blew us away. We always looked for a similar experience after that but no game came even close to this nerve wracking atmosphere. I would be so happy if they made a sequel!
I must say thank you Creative Assembly. You guys have breathed into life a game that I have wanted ever since I saw the first Alien movie in 1998 as a child. All these years and to finally have a game to do ALIEN justice is phenomenal. Thank. You. Now please, make a game to do ALIENS justice and show Gearbox how its supposed to be done.
What's glorious with this game, aside of the astonishing tribute payed to Alien: It's really an indie concept in an AAA skin. Not afraid to piss anybody off by deaths or by making them feel bored from spending minutes in a locker. Where's my guns, set pieces and explosions I'm used to see in my blockbuster games? 4 outta 10. It's a miracle this was at all greenlit. And this also only happened because of Creative Assembly's alien fandom -- and guerilla style pitching to Sega. Same as the movie: one of a kind.
These creators should do for The Terminator what they did for the xenomorph. We need a game that captures the horror of the Terminator like how we have it with the Alien.
Amazing game! Really feel many elements and props from the sequel ALIENS was also included, possibly indirectly. Set decor, rewire system, sound effects... shoot just finished the game and watched Aliens the last two nights. Watched Alien about a week ago...
Alex Carby damn , no wonder Triple A catch hell by gamers who know what care and attention rather than bottom line gives you in a game. Best games for me : “Golden Eye” 1994 best shooter of its time. And Alien Isolation one of the Best Horror experiences ever made .
Such a fantastic game...but yet there is so much potential for a sequel, both technically and story-wise. My only issue with this game was the character models were animated somewhat poorly and even the Alien moves around a little jittery sometimes. I feel like if Creative Assembly had sufficient funding and time, they could totally make a sequel that would excel over the original in every way. They could perfect the Alien's AI and animations, have it crawl on the ceiling and and give it the ability to jump. Would probably make the game significantly harder but then they could also give the player more tools to distract it. I can only hope someday they will get the opportunity! Thank you SEGA and Creative Assembly for this gem!
I started a new game a couple of days ago and loving every minute of it. Would be great if the team could make a VR patch so that you are really in that universe. That would be awesome!
Still the best and most terrifying horror game I've ever played to date, gave me nightmares for years to come. Would love another game like this one, not necessarily a sequel (since the story of Amanda has now been told fully), but perhaps another story that immerses us again into that horrific world, where the Alien is portrayed as extremely smart, as "the perfect organism" and a "menstruous killer" (NOT as an animal that you can easily kill, as portrayed in "Aliens", which sucks imo).. Alien Isolation captures absolute horror of the original movie, perfectly.
Would be great if they are the one to re-make "The Thing". The old pc game was good, the trust system and learning who was the imposter was a really great mechanic. With the current technology, that would be really terrifying to play
I played this years ago on my pc that had no graphics card, lol. It actually managed to play on my Intel 4600. Thought it was a great game, it was kind of frustrating to never have enough weapons but that's part of what made it so great. Not sure if they actually put it in the game but I swear I ran into the alien at one point in a tunnel while I was going down a ladder, like I pressed the button to climb down and the alien went climbing up the chute just as I turned.
The only time the Alien ever jas scripted movements where cut scenes or in game cut scenes other than that the Alien relies on its own AI. Its actually quite cool how the Alien functions. So there are Two AIs the manage what the Alien does. Theres the actual AI for the Alien and then theres another that keeps track of the Player Location and the Alien location at all times. Now the Alien is never given there players location but is written to investigate nosies lights ect. The Ai will also second guess itself and will have the Alien double back and recheck an area it was just in. The "God" AI will tell the alien to look in this general area but at the same time it will also monitor how long the player is idle in an area. So if you are stuck in a room for too long the "God" AI will tell the alien to look elsewhere to give the player a window to make a move. But at the same time also is trying to keep the Alien nearby to creat the tension that is needed. Now the Alien AI will learn from the player anf through out the story if a player hasn't done X Y and Z the Alien will already be aware of those tatics but that doesnt happen until late in the game. But if the player keeps doing the same thing over and over again to get past it it will stop reacting to it. For example if you rely on yoyr noisemaker aloy early on eventually the Alien will eother ignore it or will only investage briefly and then immediately go back to where it was. This happened to me and I had to come up woth a new way tonget around the Alien. Really impressive code that was written for the Alien to make you feel that your being hunted. And it makes sense really, that AI makes or breaks the game.
Esse jogo ficou muito bom e é inesquecível na minha opinião é o melhor jogo já feito da saga alien xd tamo junto ótimo vídeo abraço brasileiros brother
When he talks about sound design it reminds me of the first time you use the transit system and the audio goes up like 200% like a heartbeat in your ear and nothing even happened. So suspenseful made me say oh fuuuuuuuuuck you
the game was a master piece, although I would have liked to see a different approach to how the alien moves about the station, instead of the Alien relying completely on walking and running, why not have it jumping on obstructions in its way, and making its way to the player in a very creepy way by not letting (lets just say) a table- get in the way of itself and the player.
This game was basically drowned by IGN, at the time, I stopped reading their reviews after that. Alien Isolation is the most realistic and respectful game franchise EVER made. It’s also the scariest game I have ever played in over 40 years of gaming.
I just read it and totally agree with them tbh. I had the exact same thoughts playing through this and it should have ended 2 or 3 times before it did. 🤷♂️ The spacewalk segments were also thunderously dull and killed the pacing stone dead 🤦
This game wasn't a masterpiece, it has a few real issues, but even with those the game is far more admirable than most, there is so much love and care put into it that a sequel with more refined mechanics and a better cast with the same visual team could be sometbing truly amazing
Isolation really doesn't get enough credit. Solid concept, story, gameplay, world building and stays true to the original. Hope they make a sequel.
Because of that crappy Colonial Marines.
This game needs a damn sequel because it was a masterpiece!
No it doesn't. It was an amazing game that doesn't need more entries or to be milked by devs.
@@benfica1171 But the ending was too open, at least a proper sequel to conclude Amanda's jorney would be great.
@@ChLemS I think when a game is that good, it just needs to be left alone
@@warterbear8009 That depends on how it end and, like I said, it is too open to be left in that way.
Agree
Best game ever made,. The detail is amazing. The Story is great. Would make a great movie
I was hoping that Romulus might be some kind of adaptation of/sequel to Alien Isolation. But there's no mention of Amanda Ripley on its Wikipedia page, I'm afraid.
Alien isolation was perfection. And it runs smooth as butter.
MAKE A SEQUEL!!!!!
Please...gaming needs you.
Needs updates, like an fps mode with machine guns :)
nicolashrv
No COD, just a Pulse Rifle
@@lustrazor44
I was just saying there could've been a DLC mode where you could use guns.
This game honors the original film and yet it stands strong on its own as a survival horror game. Would love to see a sequel to this.
Greate work!!! For me, this is not just a game - this is a real gift for a fan of the Alien Universe. Thank you so much to your team!

This game deserves not only a second part but a movie
I don't want a mobile game, what I really want is Alien Isolation 2
Absolutely 10/10 score very best game horror / sci-fi ever. Hope team sequel for part 2

Best horror game ever, still play it, simply nothing else like it
fucking love this game. played it 5 times now on nightmare mode

Deferred rendering in their own in-house Cathode engine.

I've never reviewed a game but if I had to rate this it would be a 10/10. I just can't see any reason for it to be any less.
Spacewalk segments alone are beyond tedious and destroy the pacing dead so its clearly not a 10, my guy.

What's the name of the song that starts at 2:40?
It's the theme played during the game's end credits.
