But had a bunch of encounters with Christ and having demons casted out etc. last august. left catholicism and people like you who put an ease to my worries about salvation and renewing my mind from what strongholds i had before. I have been praying for alotta things like this. I feel like its so much easier to argue from the religious side cause they have so much power and structure already in the world. But its hard to take the step yourself and read the bible/consult with God directly if the religion i was taught my whole life was actually true. How can any denomination watch this guy's videos and deem it wrong? Everything he says is based on biblical facts, nothing is left out, and he's speaking from scripture, not from mouth. Everyone needs to stop letting their elders blind them and open their eyes to The Lord.
'Voice of Reason' contradicted himself. First he said, all the traditions are based on the Bible. And then later, as if he forgot what he said before, he said that Bible alone is not the source of traditions but that there are other infallible authorities apart from the Bible. Also, they confuse what the Bible says. Salvation is not because of good works. But true faith & grace enables a person's heart to do good works NOT as a reward to self - but just as, say, a son who loves his father does work out of love and does not want to grieve his father - not for the fear of punishment.
I have an absolute certainty that I am forgiven, washed clean by the blood of Christ, and that when I die I will be in Heaven with my Father and I will spend eternity with Him. And nothing else comes close to bringing me that kind of peace and joy. 🙏🏻❤️✝️

I wish I could triple thumbs up this. Excellent breakdown of Scriptural points. It’s very difficult to share this sort of straightforward truth with Catholic apologists because their terms are so incredibly redefined when it comes to things like salvation and grace. All I can say is: is grace deserved? Or undeserved? Any amount of sacramental service would make it in some way deserved (“you did this so I give you that but only if you did the thing”)- which means we’re no longer actually dealing with grace at all. Grace is not given transactionally, but by the magnanimity of God- all we need to do is relent to it, and we will do our good works after it is obtained, not before.
Reminds me of the creature that talked to Eve in the garden: “Did God really say….?” Bible: you can have assurance of salvation. Catholics: we can’t have assurances of the promise of salvation unless we do X,Y,Z… Eves sin in part was not adhering to Gods word and considering and trusting in a source that was contradictory to Gods word. We must go to Gods word to know his promises to us. I’m 100% convinced that the ethic of sola scriptura is found as early as Genesis ch 3. In no way am I dogging on the people in the Catholic faith when I mean this as i want to respect everyone as i can. This is coming from my own searching, research, and biblical scholars not bound by denomination or schism based on doctrinal disagreements. I don't want to say that every time I hear most doctrines (like the ones spouted in the response from the Catholic youtuber) something in my being just knows there is something wrong. Not to say that one's "feelings" are an infallible judgement, but there is a biblical basis to trust the discerning we get from the spirit. As well as to not blindly believe people who think they speak with authority. You must guard yourself to false teachings/teachers. There hasn't been an argument for their exclusive teachings (teachings/doctrines exclusive to Catholic church) in my experience that can be supported by proper context and meaning of biblical passages. It's usually 1 or a few verses used out of historical context or without the proper meaning of the text either metaphorically or literally, that is used to support those beliefs that weren't a part of the early church. Especially concerning the pope as well as Saint worship to name a few.

The Council of Florence’s papal bull, _Cantate Domino,_ says: “The sacrosanct Roman Church, founded by the voice of our Lord and Savior... firmly believes, professes, and proclaims that those not living within the Catholic Church, not only pagans, but also Jews and heretics and schismatics, cannot become participants in eternal life, but will depart ‘into everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels’ [Matt. 25:41], unless before the end of life the same have been added to the flock; and that the unity of the ecclesiastical body is so strong that _only to those remaining in it are the sacraments of the Church of benefit for salvation,_ and do fastings, almsgiving, and other functions of piety and exercises of Christian service produce eternal reward, and that no one, whatever almsgiving he has practiced, even if he has shed blood for the name of Christ, can be saved, unless he has remained in the bosom and unity of the Catholic Church.” You won't find that in the Bible, either.
But CCC #88 says that every Catholic is "irrevocably obliged" to adhere to the official dogmas of the church. The RCC has added requirements for salvation which Jesus and the Apostles never taught or required.
