Do you have to take them off to charge them and what do you do with 7 way plug on trailer if you need it to charge your trailer battery and if you need trailer brakes?
Good questions! You can plug a four-way plug into the end of the 7 pin transmitter to provide a 12 volt charge to whatever you are towing, but of course that won't power the brakes. I'll bet there is some kind of male/female adapter available that would allow for piggybacking the 7 pin plugs. If not, it wouldn't be difficult to make one. I will research that and do an update. The lights have to be charged via a 12 volt plug or USB port and the charging cords are not very long, similar to a short phone charging cord. So, they will have to be removed. But these are intended for temporary or emergency use. They come in a nice little container that I keep under my truck seat. Thanks!
