- This man would prefer not to communicate with anyone, which led him to hide from the outside world. When he met me, after I knocked on his front door, I offered to clean up his entire yard for free. He was so taken back by the offer that he was willing to pay and hire me for the service. I told him about my social media presence and how I am able to give back to the community with free lawn makeovers. When I finished explaining, he said that I inspired him so much that he was going to go out and help a random person in need out there in the world.
One knock & a hello were all it took to shine light on someone in need. Are you the light?

I watch this channel and a few more of the yard transformation channels. There is a house up the street and I pass the house every day going to work. The grass is waist high and I couldn’t stand it anymore. I stopped by and asked if they needed some help and they said their mower was broke and needed a new belt. I told them I would cut it for free and they were so thankful. It took me 3 hours to get back into shape but that was a work out for sure. Thanks to all the yard make over channels for the inspiration to get out and help someone in need.

I also had been watching some so my neighbor had cancer and cut from one end to the other. I started last year every time i cut my and my girlfriends yeard i would also cut hers. I'm 72 but in good shape. I always make sure her yard looks good on special days like mothers day ,valtiantime day and others. It does give me a good feeling afterwards.

What a shame that dandelions are considered a weed! He had a beautiful yard of them. I’m glad that you were there to bring him out of his shell and venture back out into the world. His mental state might have been in jeopardy had you not knocked on his door! I pray that God will bless you and this gentleman so you can both continue to shine your light in this sometimes dark world!
Agreed! I was wishing I lived there to pick them all before he mowed! I have nine chickens that would have absolutely loved them for a meal each day for the next week and of course me to put them in my salads. And then there's dandelion tea and all the medicinal purposes they serve. All well. You got to do what you got to do!

100% agree. I'm trying to get the dandelions to take over my garden. The daisies are coming up too. Trying to cut the grass between the flowers is no fun though. 😂
Here in the UK dandelions are one of the first flowers of the year for pollinating insects, and goodness knows with the deline in insects we need the dandelions and other flowers. I never understand why we don't treasure our native plants instead of calling them weeds and destroying them.
Everyone had different likes and dislikes. That's what makes this world so great. What is beautiful to you may not be to someone else and what is beautiful to someone else might not be to you. Be happy that he is happy without them. I don't want them in my yard but my cattle like them in their pastures. So I'm happy I don't have them and I'm happy my cattle have them.

You are an inspiration, yesterday after finishing my lawn I decided to go across street to neighbors who hadn’t done their lawn yet this year, it was 12-16” high and I had to do it 3 times with my little John Deere tractor but it’s done and he came out after thanking me and said physically he just can’t do it anymore

It is autumn here in Australia, and my front yard and naturestrip are covered with leaves. Every time l go out to blow them with the blower, the wind starts. When l can, l do my neighbours' yards. A great feeling doing something for others. Even if it is something small
