I have made a mistake: I thought I did a better job in my scripting at making it clear that your vocation choices are not permanent, and are easily changed after a few hours of gameplay, and that playing multiple vocations is encouraged and rewarded in the game. Please don't feel stuck in any choice. The video was meant to prevent wasting early time investment into a vocation you thought would be way different, as well as just educate about the vocations.
My old title also apparently failed to set expectations and was misleading, and has been changed. Again i thought my immediate and brief explanation of the video premise in the intro was enough but it was not. I apologize for anyone who felt mislead with the old title. Much love to the DD2 community from another DD:DA vet, and game on fellow Arisen.

Totally agree! Thats why I mention at the top of the video about how easy it is to change vocations, and different augments that are great for other vocations!

For anyone thinking they NEED this guide, it's not essential. This video does a great job introducing the "starter" vocations but as a small addendum, you're able to change your vocation at any time in town. Trying different vocations is strongly encoraged but not at all necessary. Not all vocations are made equally, I struggled so much with Trickster that I resorted to punching and using the enviroment. This game rewards you for experimantion so don't be shy to get silly with it.

Hey thank you for this well thought out comment. I thought I made it clear enough in my intro and discussing mixing and matching augments but based on feedback I fell a bit short with my explanation and Title. Thank you for taking the time to watch and point these things out for any new players, and being very polite. You're clearly part of what makes this community (DD2) so great.

You don’t have to time the fighters block for a parry,it can be held down it’ll just drain stamina

You can hold down to block, yes. It doesn't actually drain stamina, it just stops it from recovering while moving, and if you hold still it actually recovers very slowly. However a parry does have to be timed, and it creates a much more dramatic backwards stun than simply blocking an attack,f and leaves the enemy open for follow ups.

That's really sad to hear! Pretty much all additional media about games like UA-cam videos, written guides and stuff, is meant for people who get jammed up on stuff or want to do extra research to know more. Just playing the game is always an option!

Uhh no you don’t. You could just jump into the game blind and have fun.

Not everyone plays that way! Heck, a friend of mine was frustrated they couldn't restart the game right after launch because they didn't like mage and didnt know they could change vocations so early, until i told them! :)
