  • After the Instagram clip a few weeks ago, some people have asked me about the Zippo cedar fire starter pucks, so I just wanted to take a few minutes to shoot a full test video.
I believe this product was designed to be used to get a fire going in those home patio fireplaces but I found that when broken down, it lights easily enough to be sparked with a ferro rod and burns very well.
At $2 or less per brick, depending on where you buy it, this stuff makes a cheap and easy to use fire starter. Whether you are trying to get your fire going at home in the patio fireplace or out on the trail, this will get your fire burning quickly.

Our guest star is Bella, who we found in the wheel well of a van at a local restaurant a few months back. Once we rescued her from the suspension, the owner of the van didn't know what to do with her, so we brought her back here and raised her.

The pants are From Mascot, the style I think is called the Lerida. Really durable, functional pants. Nothing seems to faze them. I can't wait to pick up a few more pair.

Appreciate video content! Forgive me for the intrusion, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you researched - Proutklarton Incredible Match Plan (should be on google have a look)? It is a smashing one of a kind guide for getting an understanding of how to survive in a disaster and make your own survival food minus the normal expense. Ive heard some decent things about it and my best friend Jordan after many years got amazing success with it.

Judging by how much it looked to be burnt, my home made one is about the same, and free.

+Mike Warren That is an excellent point. If a person has the ability to make something like this at home, it is definitely something worth looking at. You have the ability to tweak your fire starting mixture and gain the sense of pride of doing it yourself. Still, free might be a stretch for most people. Most can't make the wax, so you'll need to purchase that and at a minimum you'll need a mixing pot of some kind. That costs something, even from goodwill. This will allow you to at least make wax coated saw dust. Some other supplies, either purchased or made, could help you produce a more consistent and dense shape, which would make your fire starter more weather resistant and easy to pack and carry. For some people it is just less hassle to buy a few fire starters to throw in their kit.
