Lewis, just wanted to say it was really fun seeing your take on an anime style scripted duel. As a former competitive player, it both brought back memories while feeling fresh.
Agreed. It was fun. As a lover of the anime, I absolutely adored it. But as a semi-decent anime-style scripted duel writer myself and one who watches the Duel videos on TGS Anime where he goes over anime Duels to see if either player made any misplays that cost them the match, I also can't help but notice some of the misplays in the Duel, like the Bandit not switching his Monsters to defense mode after Blue-Eyes attack failed on Five-Hheaded Dragon, they hadn't attacked yet they could have been switched to defense and he would have been safe, unless of course, Linkara had something like Fairy Meteor Crush of Big Bang Shot in his hand. But much like when I watch an anime Duel I can just turn off my brain and enjoy the Duel because the Duel between him and the Bandit was absolutely awesome. :)
I personally loved "There are no bad children". I think that Santa and other figures too often are used as a way to scare children into obedience, to try and teach them bad lessons. A real Santa figure would love all children, would know all children are a victim of their circumstances and their parents, and that they all deserve love, affection, attention, and a chance for growth. Teaching the kid with the toy from Santa how not to get bored, and then him later saying "Santa brings toys to the good children, and I got a toy, so I must be good" as a turnabout instead of as irony I think was a magnificent choice. Made me tear up.

Happy New Year, EVERYONE!!
Hope 2024 is a good one for all
Oh hey, a comic I actually read. This ought to be fun.
You see, Linkara, I was right. The Christmas season is taking over.
I absolutely love Klaus, and it’s become a yearly read for me around this time of year. Great work as always, Lewis.
No joke I read this for the first time on Xmas eve and finished it Xmas morning. Has nothing to do with anything, just interesting timing is all. Happy Holidays Linkara.
11:50 - 12:27 🎵☃️Do You Wanna Ripoff Disney?🎵
16:58 missed opportunity to make a joke or reference to meatloafs song "anything for love"
11:42 or it could have been death dressed as the hogfarther
Hogfather has always been my favorite book in the Discworld series!
1:27 Don’t forget Elf Bowling, where Santa was a pirate!
0:58 - 1:05 *Santa Claus is Coming to Town*
*Santa Claus: The Movie*
*The Santa Clause*
*The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus*
*Santa's Slay*
*Fred Claus*
*Arthur Christmas*
*Klaus (2019)*
*A Boy Called Christmas*
"🤔Hmm... 🤷♂️Nope. I can't think of *any* other media that has done a Santa Claus Origin before."
🤦♂️
What a pleasantly fun comic. Happy Holidays, Lewis.
It's the origin of Santa Claus by way of Amon Amarth.
You forgot Duck Tales: First Christmas.
14:15 a mater piece SoundWave? Now that’s a Christmas gift.
This is a lot better than I thought it would be. Makes me want to check out the one shots he mentions at the end
Imagine if the people behind the Witcher show made a limited series based on this comic. I want to see that.
Spent most of 2023 binging the show, and I finish the year... being up to date. Happy new year to everyone!
Well at least Grant Morrison didn't make a official I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas comic book adaptation
Merry Christmas Linkara.
Also Christmas Story 2007 (joulutarina) a Finnish one that strangely was released outside of Finland too and has an English dub, not listed on the wikipedia page I just happened to find an actor who's wikipedia page listed a voice role.
Edit. I checked on IMDB to me the English cast is just bunch of people I never heard of except of John Turturro. Santa Claus character is played by Noah Emmerich whom I never heard before this. Also Jennifer Barnhart who has only done like Sesame street stuff and yeah.
9:09 Klaus would eventually teach this trade to a young man in France, and inadvertently kick off a horror franchise beloved by millions.
...SAW?
Ooooooh, wait, wait, wait. PUPPETMASTER?
5:28 Guard: What do you got there, boy???? Is that a toy????
Klaus: That is only a stone. That is not a toy. He is likely more to use it as a weapon. He can throw it at your face
and cause you harm.
Guard: Oh, well, that's different. As long as it's not a toy, feel free to beam me in the face with your weapon, boy.
Hey, it may not have released on December 25th, but, due to some schedule issues and other details, it released on exactly the day I got together with my family for Christmas Morning! So it still counts!
I was devastated when my Mom told me that we had a burgermeister as an ancestor because of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" lol.
Well, you're still within the traditional Twelve Days of Christmas, so technically this video is on time.
Oh wow I actually read this years ago!
