Good job, I'm replacing mine with OEM tie rods. What is the torque on the top nut on the OEM front tie Rods? Do you know by any chance? I see that you did urs at 65 flb
all fine but is there no dust shielding on the bears? would be good for a track tool but for a daily driver it will be a nightmare, or not?🤔 i mean, i wont drive my C5 in winter but there is not always sunny dry weather in germany. 🤷♂️
Chris, I know you said the guys on the forums did not use the spacer but the manufacturer specified it. Since they are in your hometown, why not ask them why the recommended it if it is ,it necessary? I am sure they would appreciate feedback if their instructions are unclear.
Dealer did my oil and dif fluid today. I find out later, my tie rod end boots are toast. They want $900 to fix em. lol. nah. i'll get the parts and have a garage do it
Thanks for the tip! Itsgood to see you teaching your daughter the tricks of the trade!
Was nice again to see Chris thanks, and a beautiful kid early on in training top.
Easy to understand thanks Chris 😎
Put 303 protectant or silicone grease on the new rubber bushings to help prolong their life.

Do they offer any kind of boot to protect that rod end ? Road dirt really shortens the life of rod ends.....
No. They are greaseless joints.
Do you have part numbers for the front and rear tie rod ends? Thanks!
Do these come in pairs when you order it or single?
Pair
@@mycorvettelife Thanks for the reply. Appreciate your time.

The manufacture directions are not vehicle specific. That’s why I didn’t follow it.
Are those used when your car is lowered?
The can be. They help correct bump steer. Can also be used when not lowered.

My advice, next time you tap on the tie rod put the nut so you tap on it and not on the thread…
PS: It looks like your brake rotors are facing the wrong way!
