Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but currently call Vietnam home. I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. Ok 🇯🇲
Wow
🥺 OMG Ms Nigeria what she said about uplifting other women instead of tearing them down, I have been saying that for so long! I haven't had friends for so many years now and it's because not enough women think like us when it comes to that crucial ideology. You go girl! I totally and completely agree.
Nice
Miss Nigeria was one hell of a special guest. She was so down to earth. The chemistry was very present. She has a good personality and great sense of humor. And celebrating her competitor in the pageant...RESPECT!!! She seems to be an amazing woman and human being. Great Video!
Did you have a little crush on her, did you? lol ;)
I assumed and expected for a person with her title to be serious and uptight...I guess she proved me wrong.

More than the food...I think one of the greatest strengths of this show is, Sonny's ability to connect with people. Just amazing.
No doubt.
Exactly!!! He’s amazing!

Are there no restrictions of killing wild game life in that country ?
Yes, I JUST noticed that early into the video, when he is offering a bowl of goat stew to that young boy, who nervously flinches away from him, but then accepts. Sonny never for an instant took his eyes off the boys initially frightened eyes. He was all at once getting into that child's mind just by being observant and very intuitive. I think the boy almost instantly felt at ease and connected too. That impressed me. So much is learned from the eyes.
I'm a Nigerian and I'm so so happy to see how he portrayed Nigeria. It makes me really happy for people to see that we are more than just our problems. Thank you
He really captured incredible beauty everywhere... Seeing the joy of people even in poor places makes you think about life and ask yourself what is true riches and what is true poverty. God bless them all...

Ignorance is not the word. They know it is wrong
@@SalemGurl8701 you actually just described what ignorance is. Not knowing something is wrong, due to the lack of knowledge, is ignorance.
@@SalemGurl8701 That's the exact definition of ignorance. "A lack of knowledge or information."

And it goes to show... look how many unhappy people there are with all the trappings of the west!
That’s understandable. You have to make the best with what you have.
It looks so beautiful, and everyone seems so kind and welcoming. (And it doesn’t hurt that the food looks incredible. Pretty sure I’d be determined never to go home after a couple of those fried bean cakes and some goat pepper stew.)
@@riotgrrl9218 “Trappings” is an especially good choice of words, in this case, indeed.
Absolutely addicted to Nyekashi now ! Thanks for introducing her to some of us! What a beautiful spirit ... Im pretty straight faced when i watching tv, docs, etc. but she managed to put a smile on my face a bunch of times. Props to you guys as well though for a very well put together and entertaining show, shining a spotlight on everything that matters, the good , the bad , the happy , sad , and the ugly! Standing Ovation!
Makoko people soo loving, welcoming they are the sweetest ❤️❤️🇰🇪

I love watching the different cities in Africa, the people and the different foods that I would never think that could be eaten. I can’t get enough. Please keep posting the wonderful videos. Africa is such a beautiful place and I hope to visit one day. Thank you for sharing with us.
I mean it’s actually different cities in different countries in Africa.
But, I love learning about them too, there’s such diversity and unique cultures and traditions
I watch these over and over, and I still find myself tearing up with Miss Nigeria. One of my favourite videos.
From Senegal 🇸🇳 really appreciate my brothers Nigerian 🇳🇬 people and culture. One of the most brave and courageous people in Africa ✊🏾Proud ! Enjoying meeting some of them in Guangzhou 🇨🇳 In shaa Allah next Capital Center of United States of Africa 🍀✅
I am Nigerian and I live in Senegal
I love how Sonny gave the guy from Makoko a chance to speak the truth about what they are experiencing, exposing the corruption of some of our African leaders.
Yesssss! This really got me thinking about how I can help remove and reroute all of that damn trash that is not even theirs…
It's been known in the world how corrupt african govt. is!!!!
@@victoriasalvador1749 that narrative is slowly changing now sis 😊
@@tobbsbrown50 Too slowly though
But we can also speak of Russia, North Korea, Europe, America, etc.
Leaders are *not* willing their people to be happy. They just want power.
If the education was not in a pyramidal shape but a vertival one... we would be ALL so much in peace !

No different from Asian countries, like the Philippines.....
I loved all the jokes, the yummy food, the people, the constant grind, the hustle and bustle of Lagos! I miss home and all the freshly cooked food! Thank you for touching on the societal issues too. A proud Naija babe.
Very nice people there. I'd eat there and tip ALOT.
