I assemble stuff for people all the time but specialize in Lifetime brand and Suncast brand sheds, this was my first time doing a Keter shed so I watched this video two times through and had it assembled in 4 hours solo! Thanks for the video, I’m much more of a visual learner than looking at instructions
You're a legend, thanks for your hard work helping people out.
This video was super helpful for me. I watched it yesterday and was able to set this building up today. I did it solo in 8 hours. There were two times I had to get help for about 10 minutes total. Nice quality shed and the instructions were so good! #2 Phillips on my drill and a ladder is about all I needed. Thank you guys!
That's great to hear mate, proud of you
Just built a 7x7. Exactly the same as the 11x7. Couple of top tips. The wall panels can be VERY tight. Rather than hammer them with a rubber mallet and risk damaging the tongue and groove edging, apply a little grease along the edge. They'll slip in no problem. Beware! Don't use oil. The oil will run down the edging a will 'pool' along the metal bottom. The walls will then soak up the oil and leave an unsightly stain at the bottom of the walls. Top tip #2 - use an awl to make pilot holes for those screws which require you to make your own holes. Cuts down on dropping screws before they catch. Lastly, Top tip #3, cover any gaps with masking tape along the bottom of the walls along the floor below where you are screwing in screws. I lost a screw through the gap in the floor and it fell between the cavity floor. Thanks for the video - it was really helpful! The instruction booklet was mostly good but I had to go to your video for clarification on a few occasions.
I just finished mine. The instructions were super easy to follow. All of the parts fit together perfectly. I didn’t even need to adjust the doors. It took two of us about 4 1/2 hours.
Hi Dan. Does the water run straight off the roof at the back as we want to put it close to the wall of the house. Or is there something that stops it? Thank you.
Thank you for adding this video to the web. It was very helpful.
Awesome video! Building mine tomorrow, this will help a lot. Thanks!
Thanks for that helpful explanation about getting the doors level! That's harder than it looks. :P
Thank you for your service :)
Great job! If this shed's a rockin' don't bother knockin'.
Well done 👍👍👍👏👏👏 professional team🌹🌹🌹💰💰💰💰💰
Great video, my boy and I knocked it out in 5.5 Hours. Waiting for rain to make sure there are no leaks (fingers crossed 🤞🏿).
Legend
Thanks for video made the job easy!!
Very helpful video, thank you guys 😊
brilliant video, thanks a lot.
I purchased this same exact shed and although I don’t typically have problems with items of this many parts and screws, I did acquire a bit of a heads up as I was watching you guys build it. I don’t really accept help doing what I do but parts of the shed are pretty big and my wife (who’s as gorgeous as the woman in this video) has no prob giving me a hand now that I know I’ll need her. Thanks guys 👍🏾
Great video thanks

cool
thanks for the great video, it helps a lot for us to construct it, very much appreciated for the effort!! we just have a question, as i can see the back of the shed is near the fence. would you recommend to install a gutter? i'm in a similar situation and wondering should i install one or not? thanks again!
I haven't had any issues with drainage here, but yeah if you have problems you can always install one round the back. Best of luck
@@headsofestate Hey Guys, finally installed our shed after watching your video so many times. it really help a lot. just want to drop by again to say a huge thank you again.
For the final step of putting the screws in the base, how did you get them in at the back where it’s against the wall? I’ve just ordered the 9x7 version of this shed and I also want it backed up against a wall. Do you think I could put those screws in on that side earlier in the build when it would still be possible to move the shed into place?
I could still shimmy it away from the wall after it was built to fix the back screws in, but I don't see why you couldn't screw them in earlier like you suggested.
That's exactly what we did when we assembled our 9X7. Assuming it's on a solid base it's actually pretty easy to shimmy it back and forth into place.
Nick you both work so well together. There’s a few problem with your installation and I may be wrong but your concrete pat is too low to the ground especially after a heavy rain fall or winter thaw. Complete seal all areas and keep your fingers crossed that you do not get a flood
I'd love to see how you've built the foundation for this shed.

@@headsofestate Thank you! Glad to see that you had fun working on that project.
I didn't get your explanation why you went with tiles as opposed to a concrete slab. You've mentioned the slight slope of your property, but a poured concrete would have created a horizontal surface just like tiles did.
Nice video... Was good to confirm I've assembled mine correctly last weekend, but had some rain today and noticed water in four locations on the floor at the back directly below the rear roof fixings showed at 21:21 of your video.. Not sure, but it seems to be tracking back from the roof fixing on the exterior in.. Really odd.. Need to reach out to Keter it must have happened to other owners?
Nice one, we had some heavy heavy rain with 90km winds these past two days, but no leaks inside the shed so far 🤞.
Perhaps you can try putting some roof and gutter silicone on any gaps on the roof you find? Let me know what Keter tell you.
Just bought this shed got the same thing happening did you find a solution?
Same problem
My communities HOA only allows for 6ft tall shed. Could this shed be cut down along the bottom while building to meet that requirement?
Your guess is as good as mine
Hello,
I am writing from France where I enjoyed watching the assembly of your garden shed.
I just received mine, exactly the same, the Keter Artisant 117!
Question...
Mine will be glued along the neighbor's fence, is it necessary to leave a passage to screw things behind?
If there are screws in the back, are they to be put at the bottom of the panels or at the top on the roof elements?
Thank you very much for your answer, I hope it will give you complete satisfaction!
Sincerely
Pascal from Orleans, near Paris.
PS: Excuse me for the translation, I am on DeepL...
Hey mate, I just slid the shed forward, screwed in the final screws round the back, then slid it back in place.
Ok, cool! Thanks for your answer!
31:44 how did you manage 36 screws on the back? Where is against the wall?
Just shimmied the shed forward, screwed them in, then shimmied it back into place.
Did you have to anchor this into the foundation?
You can, but I haven't needed to thus far.
you wont need too once you fill it with stuff only a twister will shift it, but a twister will shift anything, so save your self the hassle, there heavy enough.
Judging by wardrobe changes. This took you guys a full week to build.
Yeah we fit a bit in here and there between work
@@headsofestate im about to start assembly of one today. Wish me luck.
Hope you have fun mate, let me know how you get on.
@@headsofestate got it all done, finished same day.. started around noon, everything cleaned up by 8pm. Mine was the Cortina model. Looks like yours and dimensionally the same. Assembly was a little different.
Was just myself and my 7yr old helper handing me screws.
Today, wiring in an outlet and light.
I just bought this shed and during heavy rain the water tracks up the roof brackets at the back runs down the wall and leaves a puddle inside. Do you get this on yours?
No water inside here so far 🤞. I guess if you can see exactly where the ingress points are, you could always put on some roof and gutter silicone there to stop it?
How much snow will it hold on the roof?
@FM-db3ft Specs say 400 PSF
I’m on the fence on this purchase as there is no where to put shelves from what I can see.
Metal oř plast vs Winter?
We don't get real winters over here, but cosmetically speaking at least, plastic seems to last a lot longer than metal as it doesn't start to rust and creek.
I'm thinking about pouring a concrete pad for this exact shed. Is the shed exactly 11x7?
I was wondering the same. According to the specifications it's H 89 in, W 134.6 in, D 85.80 in
Same fault rain flowing in round and off roof bracket
This shed is on my wishlist, I found this video reasuring as to the quality of the product, i am concerned that i do not have enough outfits to keep up with how many times you guys change clothes!

It's pretty hard paying attention to the shed build with her in the video. Beautiful!
Weirdo
Thats so creepy

What a creep! She does look good though
More adverts then actual content lol i gave up after 10 mins and just read the instructions
UA-cam premium is add free for $12 a month. I think it's worth it.
@@tedtimmis8135 that's $12 too much considering the content is uploaded for free
@@peterkarczewski8200 How much is your personal time worth? Many U-Tubers get paid for their content.
@@The_Good_Life_starts_today i help people as much as i can for for free, but i suppose that concept is lost on many people
So you can’t close the door from the inside lol
That chick 👀
Really deters you from buying this shed. Looks easy, but this will take a lot of time.
You can always hire a handyman to build it for you, my elderly neighbours do that.
Did they say that they were going into the shed to make a baby?? TMI! They were doing okay right up until the end.
DO NOT RECOMMEND! I am very disappointed ... The shed itself is nice, but during the assembly, which I have done exactly pursuant to the video and the written guide provided by the manufacturer, the ladder (same as in the video) broke into the floor and damaged it. The problem is that the floor is hollow (just two quite thin plastic sheets with plastic ribs between them). If you put the ladder (or anything else heavy) outside the ribs, it breaks through the top sheet. The manufacturer denies any responsibility …
Is it possible your base wasn’t level
No, I placed it on profesionally prepared concrete base slab.
So the ladder punctured the plastic flooring?
I guess I’ll have to put an OSB sheet down first then the ladder on first. Thank you for the heads up!
