Lola is in good hands with Rod and Freddy. We've have had some strong storms come through. Albrook airport was flooded yesterday. It's raining in Boquete now but not bad. Still no gasoline or propane. You can purchase gasoline and diesel black market prices. Trucks got through to Boquete on Tuesday but no more gasoline left as only the Tercel and Delta received gasoline/diesel. I'll email you my number if something does happen with Lola and Rod and Freddy need assistance. My vet is right up the road from Eshop she's really good vet she also works with the Amigos de Animales. Stay safe. Everything will be fine sending 🙏🙏

I’m not sure you guys realize how much joy you are creating. I see how real your struggle is and I just wanted to say thank you for doing this series. Everyone that finds your coffee is so happy and that happiness spreads to all the viewers who watch. We see the people finding the coffee sharing with others and many have a great story of connection while hunting. You guys are truly special people and you are doing more for humanity than you will ever understand.

Just a suggestion. My dog Charlie has seizures. We took him to the vet and was told that if we put him on antiseizure medicine, he would have to take it the rest of his life. We actually put him on CBD which has totally done away with the seizures. Hopefully that might work for your pup.

Yes, CBD works fantastic for seizures. Definitely use CBD instead of prescription meds.

Totally agree with this. There are veterinary formulations of CBD. The big question is if it's legal in Panama.

I watched jungle boys video, and Lola turned out to be fine. Freddie is really good to her. Rodrigo and Freddie are really holding down the fort. But it must be very difficult to be away from home for so long.

Most post offices accept General Delivery. Pick a post office in Hawaii & Alaska & label it "1st person that asks for coffee." and you'll gain 2 days to make the trip less pressured however, I know you want to get back to Lola. But just throwing the idea your way.

You are almost at the end of this humongous road trip and Rodrigo and Freddie are taking such good care of Lola.
I know I’ve said this before but I have had a really shitty day. Got into a fight with a coworker and am loosing my housing, just dealing with really hard life issues.
HOWEVER,
Watching Sadie smile and laugh just lightens my heart. It really does make me feel better.

sometimes when you just DROP something old like it's a hot potato the new answer just gets in your face immediately, which you would have missed if you were still hanging onto your bad feelings about what you lost.

Shawna I'm so sorry it's not going so well for you. I have started speaking what I want not what is. Remember 3 things=1. What do I want? 2. What am I getting? 3. How do I get what I want? This is our movie; we are the directors. So put out there what you want and watch the universe bring it! When you find yourself having negative thoughts, do what the Tibetans do; pretend your fingers are scissors and cut the thoughts coming into your head. Then start thinking about what you want. Do this right before bed and when you wake up. You will reprogram your life and it will turn out wonderfully for you. Peace❤
So often there's a silver lineing that can be found when we encounter difficult situations and change. We just gotta keep our eyes open and be ready to receive it. I'll be saying a special prayer for your health and well being and that you'll find that silver lineing. Just don't give up.

Our little dog had frequent seizures and after discussing with the Vet and my wife doing some research, we began to give her a little honey in her food. It took a while, but she has not had any seizures for several years now. It worked for us hopefully it will help you also.

@@berklia We use raw, local honey but manuka would be okay I imagine. There is info out there so do your research and it's really important that you chat with a Vet too.
If she is on nextguard flea and tick medicine stop it now. My dog had seizures and it turned out to be the flea and tick medicine. When we stopped it the seizures stopped.
Not just that brand, so many of them are toxic. Use herbs ir dog wash or diatomaceous earth instead.
I’ve read that too and someone I knows dog had huge reaction with the her skin it does seem problematic
I won't put my dogs on flea prevention I am so afraid of the bad reactions.
I just want to clarify that flea and tick meds do not CAUSE seizures but lowers the threshold for dogs that are predisposed to seizures. Flea and tick prevention is safe for most dogs and it's very important for a lot of dogs. But yes, if she is having seizures, stopping the the prevention will help. I'm in no way attacking you or anything, I was just a tech for 6 years and I saw pets die from fleas or tickborne diseases because they thought F/T prevention CAUSED seizures. 💚
My dog had them when I put her on Advantix. Switched to the Seresto collar eight years ago and she never had an episode again.

It's good for Sadie to see that her mommy and daddy love each other like that, and one day that's what she'll want to be for her little ones!

Ender, my beagle died with epilepsy. It was heartbreaking. He went from the most joyful dog I've ever had to a shell. The vet put him on a narcotic which was as bad as the seizures. Later I learned that CDB was a better treatment. I know the pain your feeling.
My daughter dog would have seizures and the music really helps. I know I am a Christian so I put on praise and worship music and that really helps. Give them peace. I’ll be praying for your dog.

Never feel bad to just go straight home to Vermont and prepare your travels to panama. We will all still be here and this coffee hunt was a bonus but family and wellbeing is always first! Your family will have more time to bond with Sadie before rushing off to Panama. No one can blame you for that. If it was me, I’d just haul ass home to Vermont or Boston and be with your family and have some solid stability before your trip to Panama. ❤

My gorgeous husky Mika had seizures, just like her mama it turned out she had epilepsy. With meds we were able to get it under control and she lived happily for 12 years. Hope Lola gets the help she needs and that things improve in Panama soon.

Jordan you are so close till you finish you just can’t give up. Maybe you should drive just 2 hours and stop and sleep for a whole day. I’ve driven with my husband from Florida to California in our RV in 6 days and it almost killed us so I so feel your pain. You can do this!!!😊

So, my Chow Chow Shepherd started having seizures. They became more and more frequent.
I always fed her dry Purina kibble with canned moist dog food. I had a tight month, money-wise; and, stopped feeding her the canned dog food. I just added a little of whatever we were having for dinner.
Her seizures completely stopped.

I lived in Atlanta Georgia with my late husband when he was an army at Fort McPherson Georgia and we were stationed at in Atlanta Georgia. I loved it in Atlanta but that was back in 1975 today. It’s not so good and Alanta got a lot of crime there now. I’ll pray y’all get through there safely. Be careful. You would find peaches on the side of the roads in Georgia but I love their pecans. They have a Lotta pecans in Georgia too. They are very good.

I have six children. They’re all grown now and I have a set of twins and I know little ones like to go barefoot I don’t worry about it you know she’s a baby let her be a baby you’re doing a good job as a mother.
🦋 oh my goodness I want to move to Italy so bad, but I’m still working on saving money to be able to take my dog into cats with me because I can never leave them behind. So I understand how much you miss your animals and your farm your friends. Have faith it’ll come together. Just keep visualizing yourselves, laughing and hugging and being back home it’ll happen. let the universe know how you want it to be more than talking about how it is. I had a small dog that I gave luquid phenobarbital to daily to keep seizures away AND, a big dwal was, NO PEOPLE FOOD, strictly what they call dry canned food. I even had a sign in our house not to give her even a bite of anything. Kept the seizures away for several years, very few. Unfortunately she had one in tne early AM that part of her came out of but her brain did not, vet said she was with us but couldn't respond. Broke my heart, after over an hour in my arms at the vet and testing, she was layed to rest in my arms. I pray for tne very best with Lola ❤

I had twin Beagles that had seizures all of their 13 years. It was devastating to see happening but they always got over it in just a few minutes and they took off on their normal life like nothing happened afterwards. There's really nothing you can do but just hold them through it, and they're fine. The VET will try to get you to feed them tranquilizers daily but that just is worse than them just living with it. Don't panic over this!!

Sister's dog has seizures. Vet says the most important thing is to watch their temperature and keep them cool. Hard to have them sick or in trouble if you aren't there but at least you have good friends watching out for her.

Lola will always be with you , don’t worry. Not only did I have 2 cats with epilepsy, but one died of seizures last fall. But when he died, I sat with him for hours, talking to him about going into this other cat who was pregnant to reincarnate. I would sing him his special song that he loved. I told him he could let me know even as a little bitty kitten by doing things that the other kittens didn’t know about to tell me it was him & he could recognize his song. I told him to come back as a cat that had his same fur pattern. I called him puzzle pieces because it looked like he had puzzle pieces on his fur. So I told him to come back to me as a kitten with the same pattern so I would recognize him. I saw his father mating with a stray cat that liked me too so that’s why I told him this. I hoped he’d be orange/ white tabby a similar puzzle pattern. Then the mother had kittens somewhere & one night I thought I heard them in the ceiling over my bed, which seemed crazy. I went back to sleep & had a dream that kittens were falling from the ceiling. I would catch them before they could hit the ground & run to catch another one falling through the ceiling. 😂 But then when they stopped falling from the ceiling, I started laughing in the dream & said “what’s next?! is it going to rain puppies?!” And for some reason in the dream, it just seem like it was the most natural thing for kittens to be raining from my ceiling & like I had done that before. Two weeks later, I noticed there was some little pink thing wiggling from a hole in my ceiling! it was a kittens foot! And before I could even manage to figure out how to get the kittens out of the crawlspace in the ceiling, they fell through the cement board, because apparently there was some peeing happening from the kittens when she would leave them and the cement board got so weak that the weight of the kittens Cracked it open. I stuck my finger up there. The whole thing just fell through and the first kitten fell. 😂 I put him on the ground & then the next kitten fell… and…. my dream came true! Five little kittens fell out of the ceiling. But None of them was an orange/white tabby. But there was a brown tabby had the most intricate puzzle piece looking pattern on his back that I had ever seen on any typical tabby. But I kind of just ignored it because I was looking for an orange/white tabby. I still have Puzzle’s sister, Dapple, who also has this seizure disorder. She has stabilized & although she has brain damage from lack of oxygen from serious seizures as a kitten, she’s doing pretty good & I’m willing to take care of her. When Puzzle #1 was alive They would have seizures & I would sing to them their specific songs using their names to calm them down. So one day I was just doing my chores & started singing the puzzle pieces song. All of a sudden I noticed that the babies were nursing, but the little tabby stopped nursing & started screaming at me, looking directly at me & trying to get out of the box. None of the others had even noticed that there was a way to get out of the box yet. None of the others had ever looked me in the eye, or acknowledged me. But here he was going nuts. Every time I sang the puzzle piece of song. If I stop singing, he would slowly calm down and go back to nursing & being a normal kitten. so I brought Sister Dapple over and I said “ puzzle” and he stopped nursing and looked me directly in the eye and meowed in my face… and I asked him “ do you remember Dapple, your sister? “ And I stuck her face over the side into the box & he went nuts! He was crawling all over her head & licking her ears & purring. I’ve never seen a three week old kitten purr before. And every time I picked him up & called him puzzle, he would meow back to me in acknowledgment of his name. so I brought out the kittens toys to see which toys he would pick out. He immediately ran to the toys that he liked from his last lifetime. All of this stuff went on and on and even to this day he knows everything the puzzle knew before and he does everything the same. he even has one eye that doesn’t work right & is the same eye that went bad when he had seizures in his last lifetime. In this lifetime, I can find nothing wrong with that eye. He keeps it closed & won’t use it. there’s no problem he just keeps it closed. So you guys don’t need to worry that Lola’s going anywhere, even if she passes away. Just make sure that you have another set of puppies & figure out which one of them is Lola. She will stay with you. I know she will. And if you kids feel like quitting because this is getting too hard, none of us are going to think any less of you for it. You do what’s right for you & the kiddo & you don’t worry about the rest of us. You don’t owe us anything. Everyone in life gets where they are going because of other people. Some directly. Some indirectly. Sometimes we’re not even aware of how many people work so hard to bring every little thing that we have in our houses & our lives to us and how much love they put into it & thought about us, without even knowing who we are… just doing a good job at their job. So very few of us go around telling everybody we meet how grateful we are that they exist. Right? How many people do you know who do that? Wouldn’t it be weird if a stranger just walked up to you & said how grateful they are, that you exist & you help them do everything they’re doing in life and they owe you a debt of gratitude and that they want to do something special for you? That would be kind of weird wouldn’t it? People think people who do that have lost their last marble. So, don’t feel like you have to do this for your fans. we know that you are 100% aware of our impact on your life. It’s not just because you tell us. It shows in everything you do. that’s why you have more subscribers and loyal fans than a lot of these other UA-camrs, who you know… Not mentioning any names… and things are going better for you, and the joy in your life is more evident. So if you guys need to call it quits you do what’s right for Sadie & her future. I’m just like you. If I tell somebody I’m going to do something, I will break my neck, making it happen no matter what hardship it causes me. But I’ve had to get over that & start thinking about me because nobody else is doing that for me. I can’t tell you how many times people tell me they’re going to do something for me or with me & I never see them again. They don’t care that they just made an empty promise, which is the same same thing as a lie. They have no conscience, regret, guilt about any of it. They don’t even remember me or remember making a promise to me. I’m the last thing they’ll ever think about in the the rest of their life. And whenever you’ve got that many people being awful but you’re making your life a misery because you made one promise to somebody and you don’t wanna be like that… maybe you gotta think about balancing it out somehow in the middle. Maybe you have to give yourself a break & say I tried the best I could & it just was over my head. And maybe you’ve got to say we thought it was a good idea & we really thought we could do it but apparently we didn’t know everything entailed & we’ve learned a lesson not to make promises we can’t keep. Because that’s really what this is about that you’ve overextended yourself and now you’re beating yourself up to do stuff so that people don’t see you as a quitter and as someone who says they’re gonna do something and then you don’t do it. it’s my pet peeve as well but at a certain point I’ve had to learn that it’s not the end of the world to admit I’ve gotten in over my head. I fix it the best I can and I move forward. As long as we learn from it, there’s no harm. So you stop this fretting and do what you know to be right. We love you either way. Those of us worth your consideration love you unconditionally. ❤

My dog used to get severe seizures frequently. Fortunately though, once I tried him on Zonisamide, he’s had almost no seizures and the few he’s had have been far less severe. There have been no side effects either. Now he can go years between episodes, but I do give him medication twice daily. It’s not expensive and he takes it well when mixed into food. At 13, he’s going strong and is in good health. I understand some not wanting to rely on a medication, but it was a game changer for us! Nine years later and my little guy is still going strong.

Once on vacation went through Georgia couldn't wait to get some peaches! They were the worst of peaches I'd ever had! I was so disappointed. Prayers for Lola. I know Panama is your home but I wouldn't be in any hurry to get back there until everything settles down.

I don't even like coffee and I still get teary eyed when people find the bag of coffee. I think it's the joy they feel when they find it and you guys are responsible for gifting that joy. It just warms my heart. Again, thanks for spreading some joy around.
You may not see this comment but the most amazing thing is that if your mouth is moving, your eyes are open. I have a toothbrush in the center console of my vehicles and if I get tired, I just dry brush my teeth. A little spray bottle of peroxide can disinfect if you are worried about that but it’s amazing. I also sing or snack because those work too.
My dog Dora used to have seizers regularly. A friend told us to give her CBD while in the seizure. Over time, her seizures were less and less, to not having them at all. thank you CBD oil, it's a miracle!
Give her honey...I had a chihuahua and we were so insinc, that I knew when he was going to have one and when he felt it coming on would come get me to get his honey. It stopped the seizure from going full blown. Put it in her food every day or every other day. I promise it will help. This advice came from a vet.
