Sandpoint has always been neutral territory, we've had loggers drinking next to tree planters, hippies next to church people and everyone has gotten along, never any violence and even long friendships between them. Please respect everyone's opinions and beliefs, live in freedom and peace and allow other the same consideration. Good video from an old time Sandpoint resident.
not looking to move there just visiting. Will certainely respect all people's views. Really nice to hear theres towns out there that can have diverse views and all get along
If you discount the giant Trump country sign when you drive in from the south…. Sure, it’s neutral. I’m guessing the logger and the tree hugger were both white too. This is not a safe place for P.O.C. 😅
after 15 years, i can't wait to move back next spring! was just there in July, and IMO, the town hasn't been destroyed by growth over the past 15 years. it has matured quite nicely, but 75% of the same small town businesses are still in place. unfortunately, cost of living is getting steep, but what is to be expected of such a beautiful place?
One thing i remember about visiting sandpoint when i came to america was the second avenue pizza shop, still one of the best pizzas i have had to date, and the lake is also awesome, i would like to try some fishing on my next trip there
We sure miss the Canadians! They used to come to Sandpoint in droves because the currency for Canada was so good! Had a lot of fun times at Kamloops and Bugattis!
And" there's Logging work and valuable properties "and what I like is it's still like Post Falls was like in the later 1970's.before and CouerdAlene is still hanging in there "oh part's of Post Falls is still fun..
I love my sandpoint. But this town has been ruined by Californians and California developers apartments are going up everywhere! Even in places you wouldn't think they fit. Used to be a smooth flowing pedestrian town. Now it looks like a mini LA
Great video! We are trying to decide between June and mid July. We wanted to hike, enjoy the outdoors, and maybe kayak. Just don't want it to be too hot or humid. Would appreciate you input. Thanks :)
This was end of June last year which was unseasonably wet. I’m not sure what the snowpack has been but this was a great time of year and was not very buggy. I think beginning of July /end of June is great if you don’t want it to be too hot.
That is a great community, looks like a very well managed area and inviting for all kinds of outdoor sports, especially the lake. Canoeing would be my thing, slow paste and peacefulness. No motorized sounds to endure. Thanks for the views. If I can add a comment about the geese, those are Canadian Geese actually, they probably got lost on the way north and decided to take a break there. I dont blame them. It is a beautiful spot. 🇺🇸🍷🇨🇦😎👍 p.s.: Pend'oreille is french for earrings.
😂 I was kinda joking about the geese. Apparently they always return to the same place year after year when migrating north to south, and vice versa. They have a developed sense of orientation we still cannot explain.
Do you have any videos of priest lake off of 57 going north it does not go into Canada understand that I bought property up there in by priest lake okay cool I guess I'll look through other things or just call up priest lake and see if I can find something thank you your videos cool not long enough just too short I want to see you know.
I’ve been to priest lake there isn’t much going on over there. Checkout the video I have on Spirit Lake which is pretty close to there. Trying to Ride Single Track in Spirit Lake Idaho ua-cam.com/video/BUszvuHtuTc/v-deo.html
Eichardts replaced Donkey Jaw over 25 years ago, before that it was Locals I think but neither the Donkey jaw or Locals lasted too long. It's a great place.
You know, I grew up here and I’ve always loved this place and called it my home. I truly want to move back, but as of now, there isn’t much there for me. If you want to raise children in a safe and good community, go to sandpoint, I live in California now and I can assure you. There are no gangs. Not as much drugs, not a. Hunch of homeless people shitting and pissing all over the streets. I miss home a lot.
If you want to live in Sandpoint these days. You better be a Millionaire, if you want to move here!!! You can thank all the realtors for that. No more affordable housing in this area. Unless you’re a Millionaire. 💰💰💰💰💰💰💰 Have a great day!!!
My opinion is if you come leave your politics where you came from. Sandpoint has always had many different people and there's never been what seems to be going on today.
What's your favorite summertime water activity? I used to love water skiing, but these days my favorite is paddleboarding or swimming.
Fishing, canoeing is relaxing, kayak if you're on your own, but if you're in tropical waters snorkeling.
I was born and raised in Sandpoint and everything North of it. That was back in the 50, 60, and the 70s what a way to grow up.

This is amazing and I'll be happy to visit later this year.

Sandpoint is the best place ever

Thank you Brian, as a visitor I just loved Sandpoint and thought it had so much charm and local businesses too
Not completely destroyed yet but developers are trying their hardest to get there.
One thing i remember about visiting sandpoint when i came to america was the second avenue pizza shop, still one of the best pizzas i have had to date, and the lake is also awesome, i would like to try some fishing on my next trip there
I live near Sandpoint and 2nd Avenue Pizza is the BEST!
Nice. I used to live just across the border in Kimberley BC : )
We sure miss the Canadians! They used to come to Sandpoint in droves because the currency for Canada was so good! Had a lot of fun times at Kamloops and Bugattis!
That’s beautiful
It’s much prettier on your side of the border for both the views and the people.
Luv Sandpoint, ID . Almost purchased a home there at the Idaho Club . Enjoy 😉 & be safe . 👍😘⚾️
Sandpoint is awesome
The Idaho club is super nice!!!!! Can’t wait to play there this summer I just moved up here

years
красиво!
😍 must be amazing to live there!

@@Cocoleavemealone why not?
It's alright. Increasing becoming a retirement town however. There's a lack of options for younger people.

Thanks for the info. Sandpoint is just 40 miles from Canada so this might be where these geese have always gone but who knows

Hi nice video super 👍👍👍👍
Well done! We just released an Idaho state video as well. How long did you stay in Sandpoint?
Our Idaho video: ua-cam.com/video/RYBdLmyb5Z0/v-deo.html We just subscribed. At the moment, we are in Finland.
Nice. Sadly only a few days 2 of which had rain, would love to go back and get to do a few more activities
Will I owe you a commission if I acquire property in northern Idaho? Feels like I will. Beautiful area.
Morning Alice got curious the donkey jaw tavern change owners and is now Eichardt's pub grill and coffee house somewhat more civilized
Are the tech workers moving back yet?
😂 I"* 📽️🎥 your video with another phone we was working here today.

Sandpoint is a great community. But doing to Sandpoint what's been done to whitefish mo. Aspen co. Isn't what locals want . Come visit, then go home
Did I say anything in my video about moving there. The answer is no.
You don't have to there are already people doing this for you, on a grand scale.
My opinion is if you come leave your politics where you came from. Sandpoint has always had many different people and there's never been what seems to be going on today.
