- In this video I will make a set of Alnico 5 reverse wound reverse polarity Telecaster pickups, which makes them hum canceling in the middle position on the switch when both pickups are active. Come along with me on my journey while I attempt to get something done while my husband aggravates me endlessly!!

If I had the tools/supplies, I’d learn to wind pickups too because it’s a cool skill, but mostly so we could start a pickup business together called Kabonk Pink Pickups and Doggos, Inc. Great job Cathy. Very Instructional. I am hopeful for you that in the next few years you will have a start to a following like Seymour Duncan did. If you know his history he started out hand wiring every pickup and was making them one at a time. You and Sean seem like wonderful folks and I am hopeful one day I will be able to meet you guys but I am not sure when my net trip to Florida will be. I watched your live video last night but only got to it after you guys were done and waited til today to tell you about my dog. I found out that after he hit the age of 12 he developed dog MS. He had the same symptoms that you have said your dog has like wobbly when walking like a drunken sailor, lethargic and intermittently had the shakes a bit especially in his hind end, his eyes one day would look clear and other days cloudy and even though the vet said he wasn't going blind I could have sworn he was because he was always running into stuff head on. My dog would sit at my feet all the time and would whimper like he was having a nightmare but he would be wide awake so I think he was in pain as well. He died at the age of 15 so he lived with the MS for 3 years or longer. My dog was a shepherd mix with a bit of chow in him. My vet said that dog MS is more common with mixed breeds than pure breeds although pure breeds have their medical issues as well. I hope this helps you find out what is wrong with your dog and if you find he has MS than all you can do for him is show him love and attention and let him know you are there for him. There are meds available but they don't really help that much. My vet charged me 300.00 for the test for my dog to find out if he had MS. I was glad to pay it because it eased my mind on what he was going through. My dog was part of me. He was was like my right arm in that when I looked at him I saw him as a part of me just like looking over and seeing my arm attached. I don't know how to explain it. I think I can only say that if you are a dog lover and have one as a companion then you know what I am trying to say. God Bless you guys and keep up the good work.

Excellent! Now you will have to find a paint pen or a certain Sharpie or some sort of appropriate pen to autograph, or initial and date, the back of each pickup. Maybe one day in years to come people will trip over themselves trying to get a set of Cathy autographed pickups, like Maricella "MJ" Juarez signed ones at Seymour Duncan. Also, the more pink tools, especially neon pink, you have, the less chance they'll disappear to Sean's side of the shop.

You are giving away the secrets! Would it be worth it to get an inductance meter to measure the inductance? That is a better way to measure the tone of the pickups than DC resistance (although there is a high correlation). Fender and Tonerider lists the inductance, but Seymour Duncan and others don't.

So cool to see how pickups are made now i get how back in the golden day of gibson u got those "magical" sounding pickups and super hot pickups, when people were talking not paying attention to the number of winds when they had to time it to keep track, they talked to someone for a few seonds etc and boom u get a hot rodded paf!! haha awesome content i subscribed

You know that’s how Tom Jones (T.V. Jones) started, winding pickups in his garage and look at him now, maker of some of the finest pickups you can get, anywhere. I know, have them in my Gretsch G2420T. Cathytrons in the future?
Hey Cathy put me on your list for 2 Almico 5 Humbucker. pickups. I don’t do the EBay thing, I just want a set , I wish yall offered loaded pickguards , the Silvertone is a Strat copy with 3 weak ceramic pickups. My wife and I listened to Sean’s video of your pickups and Oh man, I have a Fender Tele and it sounds like junk compared to yours. My wife loved the crisp clean sound that they made! Congratulations!

I have 3 pots and a 5way switch. I will need a 2 H pickguard, but since I am blind I am going to just keep it simple. Thank you folks!
