Im 40 years old. I started watching these shows on tv when i was, like 14 or 15. They dont get old, and Im still jealous of their garage.
Anyways, thanks for the content, for the last 25+ years.

Honestly the first thing you should do to make a modern Ford a functional work truck is replace the drive shaft, do all the recall work, and fix all the design flaws. Cosmetics come second.

Too bad they can't get sponsors to pay them to showcase those products. The companies they showcase pay for the episodes.

Never a driveshaft problem or recalls in 20 plus years of boat hauling, even had a 6,4 for 3 years among other 6,4’s with very little to no problems. One egr and set of rockers in over 1 million miles between all my 6,4’s I have been driving 6,7’s since fall of 2010 with zero issues.

@@richarddubois5529 You must have an older truck then because most of their newer stuff has some sort of drive shaft recall on it. I know from experience.

And like everyone has said, you NEED to update that CP4 to the new S&S Diesel conversion kit so the cp4 won’t kill your fuel system!!

On the front hub removal you put a socket on nut, extension through hole, impact on extension, pull trigger on said impact and bam nut comes off!

My first mod would be a system protection kit for the crappy cp4 fuel pump before it inevitably explodes and ruins the engine and I would do it before anything else even another tank of fuel

As long as it gets oe filters on time, and maybe an additive every so often, it'll be fine. My 2011 6.7 F350 is knocking on 400k on the original cp4

My 2019 6.7 F350 is at 93K of trouble free miles. I've used Archoil AR6500 on each fill up since new. I even use it on my wife's VW 2.0L TDI since it also has a CP4.

Agree 100% - that and the scene directly after where they are just letting the nuts fall to the floor with no care - sloppy work. Stopped the video right there and after this comment I think I am done with it. Glad they have them on that TV show instead of being out in the real world scamming working people out of their money for car repairs with that kind of sloppy work.

Did not see drainage tubes installation on the Roll-N-Lock bed cover roll-up box. That puppy will fill with water without them. And you need to keep the tubes clear as they tend to clog from leaves/pine needles/etc.

Make sure to keep the camera far away so we don't see the surface rust on a brand new wheel bearing. I'm guessing they saved 20 cents a vehicle by doing that. Come on Ford, GM and Chrysler.

My 6.7 F350 is at 390k and doesn't miss a beat. Compared to my buddy's 240k 4th gen shipping crate that's leaking coolant and needs either a TC or a whole trans, or you can get a GM and replace front end components on the regular (IFS in a 1 ton truck? No thanks), or have a TCM failure that's on nationwide backorder for 6 months. F that. I'll work a Ford or an older International before any of the rest.
