Thank you very much for the compliments! Glad to know that my research on continuous motion has helped you better understand the physical principles and truths behind popular ideas. Indeed, many videos circulating online can be misleading about principles such as perpetual motion or self-sustaining machines without the need for additional energy. However, as you said, everything only exists based on initial inertia and energy, and when the energy source is exhausted, everything must stop.

@dab9742: And yet you are wrong. The world spins and also rotates around the sun. The moon rotates around the earth yet never shows us any but the same surface view. {We do not see the back side of the moon.} The sun travels through space at great speed as we rotate around it. All the other planets of our solar system rotate around the sun. This has been continuous at least since creation and maybe from long before. All the the same constant speed. So there absolutely is perpetual motion; but we humans have not figured it out to make it happen. So for all those who deny it perpetual motion is occurring all the time. Just something to think about.

Hello! Yes, balancing the weight of the flywheel and springs is important to ensure system performance, especially when you are working with engine mechanisms or transmission systems. If the weight is not properly balanced, it can affect the even and efficient transfer of force and can cause unwanted vibration or wear
The project anotomy is facing several challenges. 1. Try and reduce the lenght of the springs 2. Try and straighten up the flywheel from it unbalanced rotation. 3. The crackshaft is just damn unbalanced which accommodate serious vibrations to counter-rotate.
this is a big problem but i will still try because i still dont believe it can work, i am trying with a bigger flywheel if you have any ideas please let me know
@@HTN_creativity It is obvious that this can't work, never mind how you fiddle with the length of the springs and other details. Neither a flywheel nor springs are a source of energy. Advices like that of ChristopherLadipo and others are futile. Such an arrangement will always loose rpm after the manual start due to friction. If you leave all springs away it will run longer since the springs contribute to friction but do not cause any drive. All videos showing such "spring motors" running are fakes. It is sad but a fact, UA-cam is full of such fakes.
Aren't the video's showing much larger versions? Maybe this ones flywheel isn't large/heavy enough for continuous momentum seen in other videos? Make a larger model just to test theory. Flywheel and springs it would seem if it really would work need to be in balance and size ratio?
Sure, its not perpetual motion, but i can see an application for making a generator that was very efficient. The drive motor could restart the reaction every minute or so. The spin could be made to genrate power for the restarter, as it doesn't seem to use much power itself. This makes affective use of input energy. Would be interesting to calculate the total energy loss.
Your ideas are very interesting! 😄 Although as you said, there is no such thing as perpetual motion, but you are talking about a pretty cool renewable energy system. Using a drive motor to "restart" or maintain rotation can effectively optimize the use of input energy. As you say, if the system doesn't consume too much power to keep it running, calculating the power loss will be an important factor to improve performance.
You are so persistent and determined! 💪 Investing in such a large project certainly requires a lot of effort and resources. However, if you feel that the engineer you are working with is not delivering the value you expected, you may need to reconsider your approach or seek out other experts in the field.
@@HTN_creativity That's what I mean mate, it's never going to work when you have friction in the bearings and even the air around it. It's a pretty good try though 🙂
@@Duppavich Friction is not the point. If you could remove friction completely - which isn't possible really - this thing would rotate forever. But this is nothing extraordinary. Every movement lasts forever if no force interferes. But it would still not be a motor. Attach a load and it will come quickly to a stop.
@@Duppavich If you build something which runs forever despite unavoidable slight friction you have always built a machine with a drive. Without drive friction could not be overcome. And if you could reduce friction slightly more something of this drive would be left over as energy which could be used for other purposes. Although the nomination "perpetuum mobile" does not include that with "perpetuum mobile" we mean a device which can deliver energy in addition to eternal movement. That's why the many fake-videos about such spring-machines have "free energy" in their titles. But actually all these designs run longer if you take the springs away, since springs contribute to friction but not to drive.
Haha, thank you! I'm just trying to find creative ways to apply science into practice. But there's no doubt that every small step will get us all closer to solutions that actually work. Let's learn and share great ideas together!
It's not really a proof that there is no such thing as perpetual motion, just a demonstration of some variants of a flywheel winding down from lost energy.
If you add a source of perpetual energy such as from the sun then the machine should run perpetually. Hell, I've got three machines from a dime store that keep on running and running. Maybe not at night, but they fire up automatically every the morning. In a manner of speaking thats perpetual. All you would have to do is add solar energy storage to keep them running at night.
It might not be THE proof that perpetual motion is impossible ... but it IS one MORE proof that perpetual motion is impossible. Even if you could get that thing to spin for days ... hook it to a generator and it will quit spinning within minutes.

That's right, you have correctly grasped the basic principles of energy! Energy cannot be created or destroyed, but only converted between forms. That's also why permanent systems are difficult, because friction and resistance cannot be completely eliminated. I am researching solutions to optimize and minimize these factors to aim for longer-term operation. If you have more ideas or experiences on how to reduce friction or generate additional power, I'd love to learn from you! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
To make it "work????" properly, (i.e. run for 30 seconds and no longer), it needs to be painted in bright colours, sound like a steam engine be operated by a smiling Indian, on a patch of dirt,
The spring hooks on the crankshaft are set incorrectly. They must be set in a star pattern every 120 degrees, and the best is about 55 degrees of the apex angle from the base to the shaft axis. The springs cannot be set symmetrically because they will fade.
Thank you very much for such detailed comments! 🌟 Proper placement of spring hooks is really important to optimize performance. I will try using the star arrangement you suggested, as well as consider adjusting the peak angle and asymmetry to avoid premature wear of the springs. If you have any additional experiences or tips, I'd love to learn!
I was waiting for him to show it with no springs at all, but I guess he figured we’d got the picture. I can never understand how people can be fooled by this sort of stuff. It’s obvious to even a first grader that the more resistance you add to a rotating object, the faster it’s going to stop. So how do they think it’s going to have the opposite effect? I guess there are people who don’t understand basic principles, like gravity, but you’d imagine repeatedly falling from high places would have wrinkled them out, by now, due to evolution.
The issue with a perpetual motion machine is that even if you were to succeed. You wouldn't be able to draw power from it. That would sap energy from the system and force it to stop
Can you share with me more clearly about your ideas so that I can improve in the next videos? Thank you for your positive comments. I will absorb and gain more experience.
Even if it could, it would be worthless. As soon as you attach the tiniest bit of resistance to do work it would fail. We can't defeat the laws of energy.

yeah, this variety doesn't spin very long. with a large enough flywheel, no springs, in a vacuum, it could spin on good bearings for several days. The springs are an additional source of friction so do away with those first. sealed ceramic bearings generate less heat from friction than steel, so there's another gain, but you can get an hour or so with just a bearing and flywheel
Yes, you have pointed out a very interesting point! Mass balance and smooth operation are important in machine design, especially when using components such as flywheels and crankshafts. Rotating the flywheel counterclockwise while the crankshaft rotates clockwise can help minimize centrifugal force and ensure better balance. It's interesting that you highlight that this could be a side claim for the patent! Thank you for sharing these details and useful experiences!

@@HTN_creativity Absolutely not, and dreaming isn't bad - on the contrary, it's good for you !
Well, all forces are equal. With no 'new' energy introduced, it will stop once the original energy applied to the mechanism is used up.
Ironically, the fewer springs the spring engine has the longer it runs. A child's toy windmill would produce more energy than this contraption.
Hello! Yes, balancing the weight of the flywheel and springs is important to ensure system performance, especially when you are working with engine mechanisms or transmission systems. If the weight is not properly balanced, it can affect the even and efficient transfer of force and can cause unwanted vibration or wear
Dear Sir, hook up your device with a generator and 50 watt light bulb and see how long it runs! No free lunches!!
Nothing perpetual about it, but it's great that people are seeking and thinking about how to make one.

The project anotomy is facing several challenges.
1. Try and reduce the lenght of the springs

Aren't the video's showing much larger versions? Maybe this ones flywheel isn't large/heavy enough for continuous momentum seen in other videos? Make a larger model just to test theory. Flywheel and springs it would seem if it really would work need to be in balance and size ratio?
Aren't the video's _what things_ showing much larger versions?
you are very stupid
Can it be used as a cat rotisserie?

thank you so much i was just about to invest a lot of money on this with a useless engineer here
You are so persistent and determined! 💪 Investing in such a large project certainly requires a lot of effort and resources. However, if you feel that the engineer you are working with is not delivering the value you expected, you may need to reconsider your approach or seek out other experts in the field.
Just remove the friction and it should work 🤞
I don't think it is possible to eliminate friction when in the environment, do you have any other ideas, please share so I can try
@@heinzpg Yes I know that, I wasn't thinking hey was trying to make a drive. I thought it was an attempt at a perpetual motion machine?

All you would have to do is add solar energy storage to keep them running at night.
do you believe people have made it permanent i still don't believe it i'm trying to see if it works
It might not be THE proof that perpetual motion is impossible ... but it IS one MORE proof that perpetual motion is impossible. Even if you could get that thing to spin for days ... hook it to a generator and it will quit spinning within minutes.
Strokes timer using ,(Similar to Pistons) Smart trigger Solnoid Electronics circuit through charged Capacitor to Kick, push rotation be added...will definitely yields result..as Capacitors charge from its Own output energy, Thus the gifts of Perpetual Energy success
I tried a similar method using a crankshaft offset with 3 springs [2 always overriding the third depending on position of crank]...it didn't work either. It was a great idea, it just didn't work.
would work best with no springs!
Even the earth will stop spinning one day, and that is the closest thing to perpetual motion.
Thank you for watching this video of mine. Hope you continue to support me in the next videos

Silly sod.
You can literally hear it squeaking from the friction
To make it "work????" properly,

it needs to be painted in bright colours,

Perpetual motion requires more energy output, than input, as can be demonstrated here...that is why the laws of physics in our universe makes it impossible.

yeah, this variety doesn't spin very long. with a large enough flywheel, no springs, in a vacuum, it could spin on good bearings for several days.
Yes, you have pointed out a very interesting point! Mass balance and smooth operation are important in machine design, especially when using components such as flywheels and crankshafts.
