Awesome video! Honest question, is the Sl2s a rebadged Panasonic, or is it actually different? I'm trying to decide between an M camera and the Sl2s. There's pros and cons to each one for me (the Sl2s has the built in diopter which I think is awesome) but the Sl2s has that awesome deal going on right now for it. I just am not sure I could feel comfy paying that much extra for basically a Panasonic when there's really no difference aside from the red dot.

Sorry for the late reply and potentially unhelpful response. I haven't used Panasonic's full-frame offerings so I can't comment on whether it's a rebadged Panasonic, but I can wholeheartedly recommend the SL2-S based on its own independent merit if continuous autofocus in both photo/video is not important to your workflow. The build quality is amazing compared to other mirrorless cameras. The low-light is also top-tier, which is not something I've typically heard about Panasonic cameras.
For what it's worth it might be best to consider what lenses you intend to pick up. I had trouble finding both new and used L-mount lenses in my city, let alone rentals, so I cannot bring myself to commit to L-mount.

You’re gonna have to shell out & get the official Leica R to L adapter if you want the IBIS to work. I learned that the hard way.
I think I've turned on the IBIS by manually selecting the 50mm Leica R profile. Can you confirm if that doesn't work?

How big/ heavy is it really? And how bad is the AF?
I'm not sure how the actual weight compares, but reminds me of the weight of a Canon 5D Mark IV. With the larger zoom lenses, it's not a convenient walk-around setup, but with the Leica R (M is popular too) prime, it's much more manageable.
AF, I haven't played around with the settings enough to really test it, but with default settings, it's unreliable for professional work, good enough for personal. I have a sample video with the 16-35, which was 99% shot with AF if you want to see everyday examples.
