Best youtube review on the New SH Figuarts Han Solo yet. Well done Fwoosh! Pretty much sums up my opinions on the figure from what i've seen of it online. Still waiting for mine to arrive though! Really annoying about the QC issue with the eye. Are they all like that? I suppose a toothpick, a dab of brown/hazel paint and a steady hand could fix it, but yeah, for $60 this should'nt be something you have to worry about. Not too bothered about the lack of extra sculpt, but wish they could have included an E11 and Stormtrooper belt instead of the molded gun in holster! Everything else on the figure looks fantastic. I love the sculpt apart from the Bowie eye. Best likeness of Han Solo of any scale!!! Looking forward to mine arriving!
Have you thought about returning it for a replacement? Or even contacting bandai directly? I was actually able to get a replacement black series stormtrooper figure from hasbro when I complained about the shitty paint apps.
Even though my figure is on its way, I do feel underwhelmed by its face sculpt; and I was already trying to come to terms with its limited accessories. I think Figuarts just realized that they are have the best 1:12 Star Wars toyline and they're like _"Yeah we just ripped you off. What are you going to do about it, go to Mafex? AHAHAHAHA!"_
Grrreat review , as ever!! I've been waiting for this one since time immemorial, i hope he arrives this week. I've heard so many different opinions on ol' Han: bad sculpt, good sculpt, flattened nose, excellent paint, botched paintjob... it seems a lottery which version you're gonna get. Yours is pretty nice, except for the Chirrut Imwe eye. But you're right, SHF is copping out on the things it made them stand out. this Hans really deserves the extra smirky head and the stormtrooper belt. But in the end, it's the best available right now. They just HAVE to give us a Leia now!
They really do, and hopefully soon before quality goes down even more or the customer starts cutting back and they lose faith in the franchise. Leia, old Ben, Lando, and Tarkin. NEED.
The Fwoosh I just received my Han in the mail and he's perfect! No flattened nose, no iffy eyes, no problems! He shot to my top three favorite figures in no time (because he always shoots first, y'see) Only small niggle: SHF gave him the small, vulnerable wristpegs again. They were onto something with the Rogue One figures but this one doesn't...:(
I didn't have any trouble with the wrists but I can see how they may turn into a problem. And you're lucky, you got a perfect one. I guess I'm just unlucky, haha.
Finally got this figure this morning from Japan. Initially I had mixed feelings upon opening it. Holding it up close to the eye, it really does look like he has been blasted in the face with mud! Further away, its not so noticible and actually adds definition to the sculpt. Didn't have any major issue with the eyes on mine, although one eye does come up ever so slightly lighter than the other. No big deal really. Didn't see any problems with the nose on my one either. I know some people had been complaining of a 'dent'. Not really noticible at all! I agree, the quality control is slipping a bit on SH Figuarts. Slightly sloppy paint apps on the details of the belt. Still, this figure is 10 times better than any Black series human character. The headsculpt likeness of Harrison Ford is even better than Hot Toys in my opinion. IT IS Han Solo! I'd still really recommend this figure, despite some of its niggling little flaws.
I've seen a couple of pics of other people's Han nose dents and some are insanely flat on the end, it's crazy looking. But that's an easy fix, paint problems are a little tougher. But still I agree, definite upgrade from the Black Series.
Damn, that's the one! Seeing them side by side, I don't really want the black series anymore. Though it might come down to money. If I do get the SHF, I hope the eyes aren't so dead and wonky looking. If the face on the black series were more accurate like the elderly Han version, I would just get that for sure.
I think the holster with the gun molded in is to preserve scale so the holster doesn't have to be over-sized to hold the gun. I have this figure, it's great.
Jim Lohr did your Han have the same weird face paint in the left eye like Robo's? Just wondering if all of them are like that, or if he got a faulty one...
I probably would have rather had an extra head than the interchangable holster, but still I cant wait for mine to arrive. Tarkin would be awesome in Figuarts definetely would get him, but yeah we really need a Leia now. Great review as always Robo
I'm glad (nervous) you're happy with this one! I'm getting mine today in the mail so we'll see. I'd like to ask you for the permission to use a screen shot of the SHF/BS for a video review. Yes I have a teeny tiny toy review channel on Spanish and I'd love to use a screen shot of that comparison (credits included of course)
No problem at all man. Here's the original pic if that'll work better: thefwoosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Bandai-SH-Figuarts-Star-Wars-A-New-Hope-Han-Solo-Comparison-02.jpg
Great review, as always - am still bloody-well waiting for mine to arrive! But good to know about the eyes/head issue. I'd heard similar comments on IG, but no one went into the same detail. Am thinking I'll get a recast head from somewhere and paint that up, rather than risk repainting the Figuarts head, as I'm not 100% on how that'd go! Am with you on the whole Figuarts giving less and less over time - I'd have preferred a gloved shooting hand (again, maybe another recast and conversion job) or another head, over the holster. I've already aired my views about Padme costing so much and will probably skip R2 and C3PO as the Bandai model kits are so good, and unmasked Kylo was a pass too. It's sad, as it's not like they're bad figures, but when they've set their standard soooo high, any dip becomes very, very apparent.
Yeah, I passed on unmasked Kylo too, just too much money, especially being an exclusive, for essentially the same body I already had with a new head and accessory. I don't know, it's almost like I'm starting to bunch Bandai in with every other company when they used to be the cream of the crop. I think maybe they are taking on too much at once?
The drop hips wouldn't work on the right with the holster implementation. Bandai has basically gone with making sure the line of the strap and holster itself stays clean, rather than having it stretch, or compensate in another fashion to make the hip drop.
I thought about that too, but they made the obround slot flat piece that hangs from the belt longer than the peg for the holster. The holster pegs through that flat piece into the leg and the longer obround would have compensated for the shift down.
Should be getting mine next week and I...am.....PUMPED!!!!!!!! Just wanna say this...you gotta get rid of that TFA Chewie man, the original release is so much better paint-wise. That being said, SHF Chewie doesn't really look like he'll be all that much better than the Black series figure...I know, almost heresy to speak such words, but I just don't see him being much better. Good to see that he scales so well with SHF Luke and Black Chewie. Great review as always sir.
There's also the fact that the SHF Chewie, in addition to not having substantially better paint than the TBS Chewie, is also kinda short, even compared to other SHF figures. Basically, for Chewie, you're paying 3 times the price for better articulation and sliiiightly better paint.
I agree with pretty much all your points but at the same time I do feel like bandai gave us the shaft with accessories. I would've preferred two heads, one with the scoundrel smirk and the other more serious. It seems like they tried to combine the look into one head and it works well enough but I'm used to them going above and beyond. since we don't have two heads I feel like the holster should be replaceable with the stormtrooper as it is on the Hasbro one. for me it's a rare case of the black series being good enough for the shelf if you don't want to shell out the extra dough but once you have it, there's no going back.
I was lucky to get mine about a week ago. The eyes are fine on my one but the nose was a little flattened and I had to use the hot water trick to get it back into shape. It's a great figure. Just a shame they didn't include an extra head. Oh and when are they going to figure out that guns fit into holsters? I was puzzled with Jango and I'm even more puzzled with this one. It seems such an easy thing to do yet they make hard work of it. Minor gripes though. Long live SHF! Great review as always!
I was hesitant at first, cause I was quite happy with my BS version, but seeing them side by side, I'm gonna have to pick this up. And it looks great next to Farmboy Luke. Sad to see your copy have the face issues, kinda looks like he has a glass eye. Hope you can get it fixed.
Shouldn't be a huge deal, just have to get over putting paint to a SHF figure, heh. I'm hearing that a lot of other people got way better QC on theirs, so I wouldn't worry too much about ordering it. Too much...
Spot on review. I'm a big fan of SHF (they've earned that with a lot of great releases) but I won't excuse a faulty faceprint in a figure that comes with ONE head: they should have either released Han with two heads (like Luke or Harley...and even her had the problem of some print mishapps which was aliviated by having three) or made damn sure the digital printing was on point. I have mine bought waiting in a warehouse (that probably tells you which site) and it's a shitty feeling being anxious about how mine turned out. If we pretend that issue isn't there, I think it's a pretty nice release: his face may seem a little chubby but he has a great likeness to Ford, even down to his asymmetrical features. A SHF Indy Jones would probably end up being amazing.
Completely agree. I had some lipstick issues with Harley but because of other head options it was almost a non-issue. Han should have comes with a serious head and a cocky smirk head, minimum. I'm happy, but not overly happy, I guess, heh. And hell yeah, an Indy would be amazing!
Great review as always bro and I do like the figure but at this, price point these QC issues are unacceptable. I've personally felt like for about the last year or so Figuarts has been making more mistakes charging more money and giving us less. There was a time not long ago where if it said Figuarts on the box I knew it was going to be a great figure. They worked hard to get to the top of the import figure hill and now it seems like they are just wresting on their laurels. They need to step up their game again get a more humble attitude and start giving us the top tier quality that they are more then capable of.
Toy Man 1976 Completely agree with you on this. We see they're testing soft goods with the new TDK Batman, so hopefully they do continue to make improvements. But yeah with an average retail of $50-$80 these should be damn near perfect 1/12 scale figures.
I dont disagree with you, if you look at the SHF does with DBZ figures almost all of them come with a handful of additional hands and faces and accessories. I wish the SW line would also come with those types of additions even if it will raise the cost a few dollars at least make it awesome give us cool stuff for the price. At least an additional facial expression and blaster effects ect. Outside of the New Hope Luke they have been light on additional items recently.
Mine came with blunt nose that I was able to fix by simply holding it close over the steam from boiled water for about 10 seconds and the nose conformed to its original shape on its own. I guess a hair dryer might do the trick too.
Yeah, I had heard people talk about this. Deep down I had hoped that mine was like that just so I could break out the heat again, and really, I would have preferred that to the eye screw up I got. But nope, haha.
I got mine like 3 days ago and it had a flat nose which I fixed by dipping han's face on boiling water. It is not the greatest figure and it makes think that Figuarts need to step up its game again. I may need to stop preordering if what I'm going to get is less for what I'm paying for. Regardless of all the issues it has, for the moment it is the best Han Solo we have, so yeah. Nice review as always.
Oh, completely agree, it seems Figuarts is slacking, thinking that sales are great and we'll keep buying everything they're putting out. But we know the potential now, things could be better.
The Fwoosh Definitely. Things need to be better, if not, well, I guess I'll switch to Hasbro again. Not really. But It makes me ask myself if I'm willing to put my hard earned money in that kind of mediocre effort by Figuarts. I rather spend 20 bucks on the cartoonish version offered by Hasbro so the QC issues it may have can be "justified" and my wallet doesn't suffer that much. I already preordered Anakin some months ago and now I feel a lot more scared of what will be of the actual figure. Collectors need to start emailing the company. Time will tell. I have my fingers crossed.
Finally pulled the trigger and picked one up. Thanks for that. I think I know what's wrong with Han's face. It's neutral. Harrison Ford never has a neutral face. There's always a smirk, or a wink, hell, even a confused look. Figuarts just has a neutral look to him.
Ah, you know, I can go with that. I just got a third party head that looks nicer but still isn't quite there. Ford is just one of those faces that's hard to capture, I think.
Just got mine, his eyes were better painted (a little on the whiteish side but not quite as white as the left eye on yours), probably yours just had an error in the painting process, BTW I tried the Black Series Stormtrooper Blaster on him and it fits his trigger hand quite perfectly (I also tried the Stormtrooper belt that came with the Black Series Han but it doesnt fit since Figuarts Han's Belt is sculpted on and it gets in the way of the storm trooper's belt)
Good to know about the Stormtrooper blaster, I forgot to go back and check. And yeah, mine took a hit in the QC department, hoping to fix that sometime.
the only thing that bothers me in this figure is that it doesnt have any extra head i mean they put an extra head in the mace windu figure why not han?
I feel like this one deserved a smiling head much more than the dumb grinning head that came with ANH Luke. Mine's on the way, eager for it to arrive. Looks infinitely better than the Black Series (which I thought I was ok with, but this blows it away).
Yeah, a serious head and a smirking head would have put this over the top. As is it looks like they tried to mash several looks together and it just kind of comes out neutral.
Beardie can Figuarts do Xmen figures? I would die and go to heaven if they did a Jackman Logan As for the second head, definetly with you on that, a smirking Han would have been awesome. Looking at the eyes they are doable with a slight dark dot in the center I think they would be much improved
There may be some kind of restriction there, but it may be lightening up since it looks like Revoltech is trying to get a comic Wolverine out there. But the movie stuff may be a whole other deal. And yeah, should be a big deal to fix, I jsut have to get over the feat of laying paint on a SHF figure, heh.
If I purchase a 60$ figure or higher and it still needed a few modifications to suit my liking...I'd rather buy a model kit to be honest, so come on bandai!!! I'm itching to build me some iron man figure please!
I also feel Figuarts is lowering the quality :c I saw this one on Tokyo and the face (the actual look and the fact that there was only one) disuaded me and stronged my will to wait for Empire's Han.
I've heard from other people that theirs are better, there seems to be a whole spectrum of quality when it comes to Han. May want to hunt around and see if there is a better one.
Help me robo you're my only hope. I collect Hot Toys and Sideshow Star Wars figures. I have a bunch and they are KILLING my bank account. Now I only collect Darkside characters and watching your vids has me itching to start a smaller line. I feel like I'm too late for the black series, what do you consider to be the best articulated 6" figs. Model kits? Not sure I have the patience but they do look great. I just think I like taking them out of the box and putting them on my shelf with little to no effort lol. Any advice is appreciated. Do you feel it's too late to start collecting Black Series figs at this point if I want Sandtroopers and figs like that which have already been released? sorry for the long winded question. I was hoping the 3.75 articulated line would be more promising, but it looks like they are few and far between these days which sucks.
I remembered buying the Bandai Megaman D-arts for only $30 yet it came with tones of effect & accessories. Now Bandai SH figuarts really just trying to rob us with little to no accessories but cost more than $50+, and they still use the plastic cape for the upcoming Dr. Strange while other companies already used cloth cape for a more realistic feel and allow for more articulation. Kind of weird that they're using cloth cape for their new Dark Knight figure but not Dr. Strange.
I think once they get far enough into a license they start to slack, like they have an idea of the audience. Someone just reminded me of the Suicide Squad Harley and how we got three heads and nice accessories. But with Star Wars it seems to be dwindling in the extra department. The Marvel characters are getting less and less but Figuarts does a movie Batman and it has a lot of extras. Start a line with lots of stuff, hook people, then slowly whittle down the extras. Hmm.
The Fwoosh Now that you mentioned it, I realized that the trend for other companies as well, like figma for example. The new One Punch Man figma only comes with one interchangeable head and the standard hands set.
Hello there! Thx for this review! Well I have got my Han Solo too, and ...I'm dissapointed...( I like the figures all, but when I took a closer look on him, I found a couple small, but annoying issues on him. What you mentioned in your review ( strange colored face, eye not that nice ), but mine has two more issues. A bigger kind of deep scratch under his chin..and the top of his nose ( if you look closely ) a bit pushed in. I dont know this can be found just on mine, or all Han has a same problem. Please take a look on yours, and share with me your experiences. Thank you very much. ( sry about my crap English :-) )
B NCS The pushed in nose can remedied with a little heat. I fixed mine by simply holding it over steam from boiled water for about 10 seconds and the nose conformed to its original shape on its own.
Thanks for this idea, if this method can really work..I will be happy. But this is a joke..we talking about a "High End" 6 inch action figure.. And I dont like a quality probems..if we talking about a 60 dollars expensive stuff. But thx anyway!
As far as I tell from the video this looks like the best 1/12 scale figure of Han so far. However would it be criminal to spend that much money on a figure and then make some subtle adjustments to the paint on the head including the hair? He's £60 plus postage in the UK. I'm in two minds....or is my lack of faith disturbing?
Once everyone's favourite Wookie arrives The Force may be too strong to resist. I've all the Bandai 1/12 kits but not ventured into the ready made. Yet!
I'm just not seeing enough in these SH Figuarts figures to replace my Black Series figures with them, specially for the price. And I don't pose my figures so can't justify paying more for more articulation. And my Mother just said she prefers the black series one so thats that settled lol.
The Fwoosh I should say I'm not knocking the figures, they do look good, and if I had the funds and display space I would probably get them too, along with soooooo many others (Hot Toys, i mean Hot Toys) but I'm happy with just my black series figures. My Mum always voices her opinion on my collection, or possible choices to add to it, and moans at the clutter a lot!!. But to be fair she's good about it, drove me round three places today to look for some. (I'm a none driving wheelchairer so she's always doing that, or rings me up asking if I've got a certain figure she's seen).
Oh no, I didn't think you were knocking them, and even if you were, I have nothing against that. I just know that moms are usually right. And yes, yes, I would be so into Hot Toys if I had the money. Lots and lots of money. And a castle to display them in.
Robo, why does it always seem these company's are always sending you these figures with so many issues? The only figure that I had mutual problems with you is the jango fett figure.
+Elite Gshaw I haven't had a huge amount of problems, but yeah, heh, seems like I've been getting the short end lately. It's not the company, I preorder from several different online shops so it can't be just me. Can it, haha!
I had one of the wrist pegs break on me and get stuck in the trigger finger hand had anyone had this problem aswel? And does anyone know where I can’t get a new hand and some wrist pegs I also have luke leia and darth vader and I’m scared that the same thing will happen to them is this a recurring theme with figuarts I was messing with the figure a bit more and removed that left hand and that peg broke aswel i am really concerned I dont know if I have a bad batch or if it will happen to my other someone please help!!
I must be the only person who likes the Black Series Han enough not to pull the trigger on this one. I have a few figuarts though. Great figures.. Usually.
Yeah, for the most part. And even with the shortcomings here I still think it's superior to the Black Series one. Not that the SWBS one is a slouch, it's pretty great too.
Yeah, that's what I'm hearing from a lot of people. Some flat noses, some not. Eye issue, which mine seems to be about the worst but a lot of other people got better ones.
Two non-gloved open left hands. I don't know if it's worth returning since it's an import and the face on mine is good enough. Boba Fett's helmet on the other hand has a terrible brown paint on the black part of his left eye.
No, you should definitely give one a try. I did and then....I needed more. But go for either Jedi Luke, ANH Luke, or Darth Maul, those are my favorites.
I remember the days when the best Ford sculpt on an action figure was from a Sideshow Collectibles 1/6 figure. And then a few years later the bar was upped again by Sideshow on their 1/4 Premium Format statues, and then Hot Toys gave it their all but turned out 1/6 Han/Indy sculpts that looked more like Zack Snyder than Harrison Ford. I say this only to really emphasize that it's a Herculean task getting a decent Ford sculpt, and the fact that Bandai Tamashii Nations managed to get respectably close in a 6 inch scale is an achievement worthy of song and revelry. But, we have seen more impressive stuff from SHF -- Luke, Ep1 Obi, Mace, Maul. And this Han only includes one headsculpt whereas ALL OTHER SHF Star Wars figures come with two. By these metrics Han is kinda disappointing to me. *sigh* Anyway, thanks for the review, as always.
always a day for a star wars day...actually skipped on this for the hot toys one, being that this was about 60 bucks...i mean sometimes...its just not worth it..#plastic
From a 3/4 view, the Harrison Ford likeness is pretty spot-on. From the side it looks good too, but his chin seems weak. But from a straight-on front-facing view? All I see is Walter Matthau.
The Fwoosh My Han's eyes are exactly like yours. In fact, I've been checking other people's vids and so far they all seem like that. There's also a slight dent to the tip of the noses.
Sweet review and yeah they should have done something else and not the swap out holster thing. That's just freaking retarded to me and pointless. But the figure is nice, sorry about your face error. Speaking of paint errors, I got my Figuarts Suicide Squad Harley in last weekend and I love playing with her and posing her around... and for the perverts that are reading my comment I don't use it like that... anyway, I can't stop taking pics of her, in fact I also edited some of the pics so counting both the edited and unedited pics that I have of Figuarts Harley I have 52 photos of her.
When you see the side profile, it's spot on Harrison Ford, great review as usual, btw
Thanks! Yeah, a lot of angles it looks just like him. But in a few, not so much.
I totally forgot about this figure and the thumbnail made me so excited! Thanks so making my day!
I tried to forget but this was one of those releases where I kept checking the tracking. Over and over, hehe.
Just the review I was looking for! Can't wait to watch it
He needs a stormtrooper belt and blaster but, knowing Figuarts, this will probably end up as a Tamashii Nations exclusive.
Heh, exactly.
Facts
I'm happy with my black series Han Solo. Got it on sale awhile back 11.99 :)

Ah...good point.

I don't know if Bandai does replacements, especially being overseas and I had the figure imported.
Always love your reviews. So glad you finally got your Han Solo! Waiting for mine!!!
Thanks, man! Yeah, I'm so happy to finally have this one.

Haha, sad thing about that, MAFEX has been upping their QC game the past few releases, so if I were Bandai I wouldn't be getting TOO cocky!
Grrreat review , as ever!!
I've been waiting for this one since time immemorial, i hope he arrives this week.

really dig your translations, man! always good for a laugh.
I'm about to start teaching a foreign language class at my local community college, it should be great! Haha!

Metalpug79 nope, mine is good.
Jim Lohr awesome, that's good to hear! thanks
Of course, of course....haha!
The Fwoosh im assuming you imported? have you considered sending it back? not sure how hard it is to exchange an imported toy
I probably would have rather had an extra head than the interchangable holster, but still I cant wait for mine to arrive. Tarkin would be awesome in Figuarts definetely would get him, but yeah we really need a Leia now. Great review as always Robo

The Fwoosh excellent Man! Thanks a bunch

That's weird. I have a Dragonball Z shf that's just huge. Making Chewie taller shouldn't be an issue, you'd think.
Oh, I agree with the dwindling accessories. Han needed at least two heads. Serious and cocky smirk.
Youre right
I was lucky to get mine about a week ago.
Yeah, but Hot Toys is in a much larger scale. It "still" being cheaper than Hot Toys is not necessarily a positive.
+jmstwn Exactly..for the price...it should be damn fn perfect.
The eyes are little strange but it's okay for me ! The next figure in my collection....
People are saying that a lot of them are better than mine, so hopefully you don't have the same problem.
The Fwoosh You're probably right. Third party head, huh? Where'd you find that?
So now we have a Chewie and awsome looking Solo, when do we get the Falcon to go with them? XD
Mine has the exact same eyes. I may fix mine as well, but honestly the more I look at mine, the less it bothers me.
Yeah, it's on the shelf now and doesn't bug me as much, but I'm sure it will hit me again the next time I pull it down.
think acrylic will be ok to touch up the eyes?
ho ho ho ho hooo solo ne jawaba noka jah wookie ho ho hooo. Jabba the hut to Han Solo ROTJ :p lol idky I typed that uhhh :)
the only thing that bothers me in this figure is that it doesnt have any extra head i mean they put an extra head in the mace windu figure why not han?
Exactly. We needed a cocky smirking Han head to go along with a serious one.
I would die and go to heaven if they did a Jackman Logan
As for the second head, definetly with you on that, a smirking Han would have been awesome.
I also feel Figuarts is lowering the quality :c
I saw this one on Tokyo and the face (the actual look and the fact that there was only one) disuaded me and stronged my will to wait for Empire's Han.
I've heard from other people that theirs are better, there seems to be a whole spectrum of quality when it comes to Han. May want to hunt around and see if there is a better one.
Ya know, that Leia in the bathrobe doesn't look that bad next to Han.
It's amazing how much better that 40th anniversary Leia looks. There is still a plastic quality to it compared to SHF but it holds it's own, really.
Dat glaucoma eye O.o
DataSlam yeah dude. I think I'm gonna stick with my black series Han for now.
Mine comes up with a pair of good eyes. Their colours are identical. It seems like the qc isn't quite good
Yeah, I figure once again I got a pick from the not-so-great batch. Ah well.
Lucky where can you find it
I pre-ordered it but it should be hitting domestic shops fairly soon.
Yeah, like Kenneth said, put a little heat to the nose and it should pop out, I've heard that from several people.
Hey there! I know what you mean, but mine is not a scar..this one is a manufacturing defect.
I paid the standard price for it and will have to do some tweaking to the face paint, so not, not criminal at all, haha.
Once everyone's favourite Wookie arrives The Force may be too strong to resist. I've all the Bandai 1/12 kits but not ventured into the ready made. Yet!
When does Han wear gloves in ANH besides the Stormtrooper armor?
He's wearing these gloves when Luke and Obi-Wan come into the hangar and see the Falcon for the first time.
The Fwoosh What a pointlessly minor detail.
It kinda sucks that there's no gloved trigger finger... Otherwise everything is pretty sick
Yeah, that would have added a little bit more value and display options.
I hope Figuarts isn't just getting rid of the drop-down hip.
I hope not, it's such a nice feature for posing options that it would be a shame to do away with it.
I have this figure, and I love it, but it does look like they forgot to paint the eyes.
I got the re-release and it actually does look better.
I'm just not seeing enough in these SH Figuarts figures to replace my Black Series figures with them, specially for the price. And I don't pose my figures so can't justify paying more for more articulation. And my Mother just said she prefers the black series one so thats that settled lol.
Haha, I was about to counterpoint but then again, you should never go against your mom when it comes to toys, haha. Point taken.
And a castle to display them in.
ive had visions of a future hot toys display in my house so many times.
Can it, haha!
i really want a bespin luke
That's the next biggie, the more I look at the Black Series version the more I want it replaced.
Robo,
Where did you hook Han up for such a great price?
I pre-ordered it from Amiami.
Not that the SWBS one is a slouch, it's pretty great too.
i hope padme is good.
+Goddamswingking Me too, I'm afraid it'll be our only shot at her.
The face issue is not consistent to all units.
Yeah, that's what I'm hearing from a lot of people. Some flat noses, some not. Eye issue, which mine seems to be about the worst but a lot of other people got better ones.
Mine came with two open left hands.
Instead of a gloved left or something else? Yeah, that's a definite packing problem.
Two non-gloved open left hands. I don't know if it's worth returning since it's an import and the face on mine is good enough. Boba Fett's helmet on the other hand has a terrible brown paint on the black part of his left eye.
I don't have a figurarts figure yet, which do you think I should get?
Or should I not even get one because then I would know what I'm missing out on
ANH Luke would be a great start. He's certainly one of my favorites and is an absolute gem.
No, you should definitely give one a try. I did and then....I needed more. But go for either Jedi Luke, ANH Luke, or Darth Maul, those are my favorites.
The Fwoosh i think I'll look into ANH Luke
Thanks
how much is cost ?'
It was about $55.
his got daredevil's eyes
Haha, exactly!
*sigh*
Anyway, thanks for the review, as always.
Oh, completely agree.
Ur dope af lov the vids
Thanks, I appreciate that!
I got the punisher and daredevil mezco figures. mezco has taken me over and my wallet and then this.....help
Haha, stuff like this is exactly why I haven't been able to jump in with Mezco!
To: The Fwoosh
Should I get the Han Solo ( like )or farm boy Luke ( dislike )? Oh love the channel have a great day.
Sincerely A random viewer
I liked the comment, but I kind of like the Farm Boy Luke better. Both?
To:@@TheFwoosh
So I am going to get a chewbacca so IDK if I should have a Luke and chewie or a Han and chewie.
Sincearly random viewer
To:@@TheFwoosh
Also I cant go over 100$ for my entire birthday present
Sincerely random viewer
Oh, well, if you have Chewbacca, get Han. Definitely.
@@TheFwoosh ok thanks
Pretty great sculpt and painting overall but the left eye is really uncool.
Yeah, it's a bummer. I'm going to see what I can do with it though.
always a day for a star wars day...actually skipped on this for the hot toys one, being that this was about 60 bucks...i mean sometimes...its just not worth it..#plastic
Oh, someday I will be in for Hot Toys. They look amazing. Except I did see some pics of the newest Chewbacca, looks kind of like a dog?
The Fwoosh like a nuclear infused yorkie, yes...lol
dang I can't find this thing on my local store, and my friend sell his han solo figure for 90$ straight.
I wish I pre ordered this shit.....
Yeah, you can tell from that face. He shot first.
From a 3/4 view, the Harrison Ford likeness is pretty spot-on. From the side it looks good too, but his chin seems weak. But from a straight-on front-facing view? All I see is Walter Matthau.
Damn you for putting that picture in my head, haha. But now I feel the urge to watch Hopscotch...
So shiny ._.
What's wrong with the nose?
It just slightly fat, maybe slightly crooked.
My Han's eyes look fine, so maybe you got a bad one.
Well, I wouldn't put it past my luck.
The Fwoosh My Han's eyes are exactly like yours. In fact, I've been checking other people's vids and so far they all seem like that. There's also a slight dent to the tip of the noses.
Victoria's Cantina Hmmmm. I didn't get the nose thing but I've heard a little heat pops it right out.
The Fwoosh Han doesn't like heat. He makes weird sounds and then Luke comes looking for him.
Haha, it took me a second.
I have sub on 3 of my phone trashed phone
shf luke slightly looks like kurt cobain face
its very cool how han turned out to be but figuarts is giving us less accesories and for a 50 dollar figure should not be
Yeah, agree.
2nd I'll stop
actually your first!
Yo bro, 99% of SH Figuarts have a spray/mist of paint on their faces. They do that to "try" to make better skin tones.
Yeah, but it seems with Hawkeye and Han they went really dark with it, like a soot color instead or a brownish tannish tint.
I think if you maybe just paint a dab of black or color, he looks blind haha
Oh yeah, shouldn't be a huge deal.
***** Oh you have a Figuarts Harley? Awesome! I may do the same.
Yeah, Harley is still one of my favorites too. And way more useful accessories and extras. Three heads? Gah.
The Fwoosh Yeah. She is definitely near perfect!
for a $60 figure it seems too fuzzy. black series is good enough for me gonna pass on this one
Tyler Simms what?
No nerfs: easy pass.
That is completely understandable.
The holster is the weakest part of this figure. Otherwise it's great.
Solos lips are cool aid colored...it bothers me.
So now we have a Chewie and awsome looking Solo, when do we get the Falcon to go with them? XD
Now THAT would be amazing to see, haha.
