"Elmo's crushing! Elmo's CRUSHING Oscar! You've insulted me for the LAST time, Oscar! Say goodbye to Big Bird and all the rest, you green piece of trash! Elmo's cracked out!" 😀
I would SO pay to see that. Have the whole show, & everyone in it, be the opposite of who they are, the most twisted, debauched fucks, like Dana Carvey’s Jimmy Stewart on SNL in the late ‘80’s - early 90’s.

If everyone is the exact opposite of who they are, does that mean Oscar is an overtly optimistic and wholesome guy who borders on toxic positivity instead of being the Grouch?
Kudos to you for giving subtitles on the TV clips mate, wouldn’t have understood jack otherwise
Growing up in Ireland in the mid 2000s watching RTE all the cartoons are from the 90s... a very weird blend of a childhood🤣
He man and she ra are from the 80s mate
It looked like I saw He-man in the clip. That's from the 80s!
@@WeWillAlwaysHaveVALIS yes but the majority were from the 90s but some were as far back as the late 60s like Scooby-Doo😂
@@paulreynolds7103 Fair one, I am in SE England and I used to watch RTE on occasion to get to watch the programs I watched as a kid lol.
How is this bad??? You got a hell of a blend in cartoon culture not many likes of your age have even heard about let alone seen. He-Man for life!!!✊🏼
This reminds me of a classic incident on Radio New Zealand, which was a phone-in contest where you were supplied with an answer, so had to guess the corresponding question. The answer was "Sunday", the question was: "What day is Father's Day on?"
Hilarity and heartbreak ensued when the lucky caller knew the answer involved Father's Day, but completely forgot to frame it as a question. For two long minutes.
You should do a last moments (or a tale from the bottle) on the Grizzly man who lived with bears for like 13 years before one inevitably ate him
Good idea
That bear was playing the long game waiting to eat him 💀
They already have a 2 hour documentary on it that most people are at least aware of, if they haven't already seen it. It would be like a video about SeaWorld and orcas. The best videos here are on the obscure topics, stories or events.
@@bruh-gn5kc maybe, but there was one other thing, he brought his girlfriend with him that final time, she'd never been around the bears before, so that was probably the main issue.
That's not last moments material
Thanks for sharing this legendary tale, as an American I'd never heard of this
"Hey! let's play What's Snots? once again!"

Love seeing him trying to wriggle out of it.
I know kids aren't exactly the smartest bunch of people, but holy shit, these two are on another level.

You're welcome.
Kevin was 11 at the time.

I subscribed because this was the best laugh I've had all day! I 100% agreed with the commenters assessment of the entire debacle. Thanks for the laugh!
I’m not Irish and I’d never heard of this before, but it was fuckin hilarious. I would love to see more meme videos like this.
Man, The Den sounds like if Eric Andre produced a kids show. Except the madness isn't an act, it's actually real.
Eric Andre's Mandess isn't real?
Then how come Hannobal Burgess is still alive?
Been binging all the Qxir videos for the last few days and finally theres a new one. Big up Qxir
Whenever I ask myself what to watch.. i come here & rewatch his stuff for the umpteenth time. Just one of those gems of a channel. Especially Tales from the Bottle series.
This was awesome! I love these nice little divergent from the dark stuff, especially in these darker times. And I hope for the best for Kevin. May he & Amy find happiness farther than where most of us are at the moment.
the televised éireann shit you do is absolutely some of my favorite stuff on UA-cam, and every time there's a new one I get so excited. definitely gotta grab me a where'd ya get your shades shirt now lmao
What's the meaning of Èireann?

I love this one. I live in Seattle Washington state and back in the '60's we had J.P. Patches. So my uncle Bernie was there in the kids audience (this was live also) and J.P. is saying hello and asking with the microphone their name etc. And asked my uncle's name and J.P. heard Bunny. "Say hi to Bunny!"
fucking loved this story, glad it wasn't a gruesome or violent breakdown tragedy
I love this so much. Ive watched it bout 20x and it cracks me up everytime.
The story is hillarious and surprisingly heartwarming. Great video as always Qxir
"Its a bike Kevin, Its a fucking bike".
Holy shit I'm so happy you put that in there. I was thinking that word for word in my head.
Timestamp?
Ireland sure has some weird shows. I loved the cartoons presented when I was growing up in the 80s (He-man & She-ra being my favorite). I can’t believe you watched these in the early 00s !
We got them in the 80s too but they would just keep airing them
Qxir, you and I are about the same age I’d imagine but I’m in the US. That show reminds me a lot of the “public” TV shows we had here. Sometimes equally demented.
Seeing Irish culture is really interesting,Great video btw
Two of those puppets at 0:44, were used for ZIG and ZAG in the UK, I think they originally appeared on the big breakfast in the early 90's, I think they got their own show too. They were pretty popular, they even released music.
I thought they looked familiar..
Yeah Zig and Zag were big in Ireland before they left to go to Channel 4. They were on Dempsey’s Den 89ish
@@InAMinMaths nice, i was watching Phillip Schofield with gordon the gopher back then, lol
That's a good story! He can be excused for being star struck and flustered once, but twice playing the same game?
And not through a dodgy phone this time.
@@_marlene Yikes, what did Kevin from Galway do to you?
Appreciate all you do, love these segments where you introduce us to very Irish specific content I would have never known…..
The host's quiet-because-he's-trying-not-to-laugh "wouldyouliketoaskaquestion?" killed me, along with "I'M A TING, I'M A TING, I'M A TING!!!!"
I saw this live at the time. I used to watch the show every day and I remember this interaction but I was very young so I didn’t fully appreciate how funny it was
I love it when you tubers talk about something specific to their county. It’s always super interesting
Two of those puppets used to be on a breakfast show in Britain and they were called Zig and Zag! Haven’t seen them in years, thank you for this!
never heard of this show being from california.
qxir never disappoints!
Love watching your videos anytime of the day, they have a unique vibe, surreal, dark, funny, mildly creepy. Keep up the great work, love from South Korea!
This gave me a big laugh thanks for the video Qxir.
I was volunteering at a tv station in a Canadian city around Christmas time and the did this show where kids could call in to talk w/ Santa. This elderly lady called in pretending to be a five y/o girl and halfway through the call she "runs to get her brother" (cue shuffling on the spot sounds) then she gets back on the phone doing an even feebler impression of a little boy. Then ten minutes later a teenaged boy calls pretending to be a little kid, all the while I have my finger on the sound board ready to mute the call at any second. But they didn't say anything untoward but trust me, I'm never doing live shows again. Great content Qxir I really enjoy your Televised Eireann series.
Witnessed this live back in the day, The Den was class 🤘
I remember when Qxir only had like 5k subs. Have come a huge way mate
April 1st 2004? Bro that's the day my dad died, at first I thought it was the worst April Fool's Day joke of all time - it wasn't a joke. I'm happy something as wholesome as this occurred on the day my ten year old world fell apart, I'm 28 now and doing much better and can see this video now and it's bittersweet.
He definitely still didn't understand the game lol
Qxir. This is my favorite, of all the many I've watched of yours. It's so funny. I'm an American thats part Irish. I've been fascinated with Irish stuff lately.
Really enjoy watching your content. Don't stop, you're doing great.
I thought Kevin would admit to being abused over the phone or use the show as a call for help. I’m glad it turned out to be a simple mix up and Kevin appears to be doing well!
A good change up from the dark stuff. Equally as entertaining, would definitely enjoy more
Loved the Den..great craic..42 now remember it well..no other channels in my house either..
I remember growing up in ireland and there being only 4 channels, RTE 1, RTE 2, TV3 (now virgin media 1) and TG4(the Irish channel)
The only show kids could watch when they came home from school realistically was the simpsons at 6
And this was as late as 2010….and even then it was a leap from 4 channels, to a staggering 7 channels!
I think I also remember watching the last episode of the den. I got emotional even though as a child I never cared too much for the show
Look at you with your fancy 4 channels, there were only two in our house, RTE1 & RTE2, and one of them didn't start till 6pm
Network 2

I think its a remix of a song Dearg Doom by the Irish prog-rock band Horselips.
